raumdeuter: Obi wins and you hand over your babe and your teams league position to me
Choose between Obi winning and Arsenal winning the league
Correlation is not causation
Nor be you talk am?
So you are busy campaigning for Tinubu but does not want to live in a Tinubu Nigeria, but I am campaigning for Obi and is willing to live in an Obi Nigeria.
That tells the difference between my reasoning and yours, and my intentions and yours.
Ihebu4chelsea: This is the biggest Problem. Thank God you said it yourself!! I repeat. No Election is Free and Fair in Nigeria. (Not even Local Government or SUG Election) I know the outcome of this Election even before the D day. APC (1st) PDP ( 2nd) Lp 3rd
If it happens this way, I believe Raumdueter will be willing to trade places with me.
Nostradamus1: One thing I love about this our wisdom forum is that when LP video leaked showing people(they were wearing LP attire) asking for their mobilization money, we all agreed that it was APC miscreants trying to be mischievous. When the Obi bread issue came out, we all supported the motion that BATist were desperate. Picture of Obi sharing money, Old video, nothing much to see: it was not a campaign rally.
Now APC video is out and it suddenly turned to Weaponization of Poverty.
We will run permutations and combinations here. We will drop think pieces here, we will have a world class debate here. We will question morality and it's compass here. At the end, people will vote because of 1500, or the way an Igbo man treated them or that a Yoruba demon broke his daughter's heart.
Never be devoid of reality
The emboldened makes a lot of sense. I also appreciate your logical presentation. Hence the reason why people have to be educated so as to make informed decisions.
When people are asked to vote wisely, here's what it means...
FBS: Are we bigger than the US? Abi no be you say Biden is healthy?
I accept that Biden is not healthy just as you said. By induction you have accepted that Tinubu too is not healthy. My simple question is why are you wishing Tinubu on us having accepted fully well that he is not healthy?
nihilistjnr: I don't have a problem with a popular Igbo actor attempting to galvanise the Igbo electorate for their brother Peter Obi.
This is what is done in any demo in any election anywhere in the world.
Why shouldn't an Igbo man publicly support his brother's presidential bid?
However it is only on Nairaland that we begin to hear nonsense like organic and inorganic support, where no Igbo person voting for Obi is influenced by tribal affiliation, but all Yorubas must by default support Tinubu because 'our brother'...even the ones that don't actually support Tinubu
Obi last week said he believes it's an Igbo man's turn. Now a member of Obi's National Campaign Council is advising Igbos to ensure geographical spread when voting for "their brother" Petet Obi.
Again I literally have no problem with this at all. But when you point a finger at someone, also remember that 4 are pointing back at you.
Asking Igbos to stay where they are and vote. Is different from saying it is the turn of an Igbo man.
Saladdin: Kaduna Vote will most likely go this way even though I'm Dan Kwankwasiyya:
PRESIDENTIAL Bola Tinubu (APC) 1st Abubakar Atiku (PDP): 2nd Rabiu Kwankwaso (NNPP): 3rd Peter Obi (LP): 4th
GOVERNORSHIP Uba Sani (APC): 1st Isa Ashiru (PDP): 2nd Jonathan ASAKE (LP)3rd Suleiman Hunkuyi (NNPP): 4th
Uba Sani has some of the vibes of El-Rufai and looks like someone ready to work. At presidential level, Tinubu and Atiku will really battle it out with very close margin. But don't be surprised if Atiku wins o. Kwankwaso will get his own 25% comfortably. But Obi cannot get the required 25%, the odds are totally against him. I'm open to debates!
So southern Kaduna will vote Muslim Muslim ticket?
raumdeuter: With age comes experience and you cannot wish away experience in everything you do
I have debunked this several times now. Stop taking me back and forth.
If experience is the only offer he has, then why do people retire? If age comes with experience, then why are people made to retire at 65-70 in Nigeria and 45 in UK? As you said.
Donjazet2: Well said. For Americans, it was just, any but Trump!. Biden's biggest obstacle right now is his age. Democrats really do wish they could get a sellable younger candidate to replace Biden.
Side talks have it that they want to replace Biden with Harris. But she is Jewish.
Imagine if we have to replace Tinubu with Shetima. But he is Boko haram.
..... I am supporting a Candidate not a Party here bruh.
Which is good to hear. Please always emphasise this.
If this therefore the case, why is Tinubu saying he will continue the legacy of Buhari? Since you have admitted that APC under Buhari was bad for Nigerians.
raumdeuter: So whatever age the candidate is in this election does not matter. No one is too young (Rishi Sunak) and no one is too old (Joe Biden, or Xi)
Agreed. But the older you get the more disadvantaged you become. People generally prefer younger persons, al things being equal. So Tinubu's age should be read out as a disadvantage for him not advantage.
Watch the clip and tell me which of Advices he gave to Buhari and Osibanjo they actually follow? Is he the man in charge. Does he get anyone any power to effect his plans under Buhari Administration?
At least you have admitted that APC under Buhari failed.
You want us to try APC under Tinubu. But unfortunately for you, we ain't stupid.
raumdeuter: So why 60-65yrs? Is that because thats the age for Obi? why not 45yrs like the UK
In 8yrs time when Obi is contesting again you will adjust the age to reflect his current age
You have successfully missed the entire point. Someone here said the only reason to vote Tinubu was his experience. This is inspite of all his baggages.
I (and you are helping me) have just proved that experience alone is on the very last sensible reason to choose a leader, since people retire from 65-70years in Nigeria.
And if age means nothing, then why is it that over 30 cannot do NYSC.
FBS: You don't know what I am but I sort expected the attacks to flow. Someone asked me a question and I gave an honest answer (my opinion) but because you disagree y'all acting like someone just took away your favourite toy. You as you dey, you fit dance buga? Or did you expect him to be dancing moonwalker? I mentioned his health issue which is a concern but that does not take away other things he mentioned. No sir, I am not lying about anything . It is my opinion, deal with it.
Don't blame us when we attack. It is not intentional. It's just that stupidity is annoying. So annoying. But we must exercise restraint.
FBS: Again, another good post void of emotion but just to clarify I never said you or anyone else cannot be against Tinubu. It's a democracy after all.
Remember I mentioned say the man sabi delegate to get the desired results give or take, how is that bad?
But that aside and if only people would learn to read, I said may the best man win. Whoever has the intention (and we would never know until they get there) to make Nigeria better is the right man for the job. Now you can't tell me that because Obi is younger (mind you I am not sure of his federal credentials) therefore he is more qualified.
If youth is the only criteria why don't we appoint 16 or 25 year olds to be surgeons, pilots, CSO, AGs and all? Would you bet your life on a 25 year ophtalmologist to treat your eye? You need the experience and everything that comes with it.
There are age limits to every employment. At 30 you are no longer qualified for NYSC. That is why also people retire once they begin to clock 65-70. That is because even experience has diminishing returns.
iamoyindamola: You think with this akanji won't have intercepted the ball Or should I ask who's closer to the ball when rashford is not in the picture Akanji or Bruno
What's clear is that Rashford did not touch the ball not attempted to. The only other factor would have been if there was contact between him and Akanji which would have impeded him.
It doesn't matter whether he was closer to the ball or not. The fact that he didn't attempt the ball gave him away.
That's exactly the point I was making. If you remove Rashford and yet there was no attempt by Akanji to get the ball, it means Rashford was not interfering. The key point is Akanji should have made an attempt. Make a sliding tackle, let the ball touch Rashford.
