Poster, I am not a supporter of women putting on trousers but i don't think you are right in your outright condemnation. Even Jesus forgive the sin of the adulterous woman and even challenged her accusers to cast the first stone if they have never sinned. You should have concentrated on decent dressing and how trousers may or may not be decent. What about men who make their hair like women, will they go to hell since the same bible said that a woman who exposes her hair is a disgrace to her husband and to God.

The on-going scramble for positions in a soon to be reconstituted Federal cabinet could shortly hit a brick wall because President Umaru Yar?adua intends to resume duties in his office next week, a top source close to the ailing president told Daily Trust yesterday. However, another family source separately told Daily Trust that Yar?adua will be fit to resume work by the end of next month.


According to the top sources, Yar?adua intends to make a national radio and television broadcast to signal his resumption of work as early as Monday or Wednesday next week. They said Yar?adua may not write a letter to the National Assembly intimating it of his return because he did not transmit a letter before he proceeded on medical vacation, even though his spokesman later said Yar?adua recognised Dr. Goodluck Jonathan as the Acting President.

Both sources said Yar?adua has made much progress physically since his return to the country late last month, and that his remaining medical problem now is speech-related. The sources said the ailing president now walks around the house and also around the garden, where there are many birds and animals.

They said Yar?adua brought a speech therapist with him from the Saudi Arabian hospital and the doctor has been working since then to improve his speech. Both sources said he has made progress in his speech. One of the sources told Daily Trust that Yar?adua?s return to the country last month was ?premature,? and that he was brought back before he finished his therapy ?for political reasons.?

What do you expect of us

Our country does not allow youths to grow or try out ideas. Fourteen years ago, i started a card business, i was good in Art (Drawing, painting, sketching e.t.c.) but a Science student. Let's just say i am good in using my hands and imagination. I approached a Printing company for a deal in mass production of my cards but they refused saying they deal on foreign cards. Do you know that this same company came across my card (a special handmade design) and mass produced it since i only designed one copy for my customers according to their taste. Each card i produce is Prototype in itself. I was shocked to see that they copied every design without any alterations, addition or even subtraction.

I know that if it was a developed Nation like US or Europe, i should be a millionaire like the 25years old owner of facebook. Their economy supports them. Most of them don't work as hard as we do here in Nigeria but they succeed because they have a working environment and the system works.
If you have ideas, no body will fund it. UBA tried funding some persons in that TV reality show "the entrepreneur " but how many banks would really sponsor you. Instead they steal your ideas and then sell it to foreigners.

Now that you have passed the test, she has already given you license to cheat since you now knows and believes that you cannot cheat on her. I think only a dumb and insecure person would put his/her partner to test.

What is annoying me is that our so-called Senators in the National Assembly spent well over two hours discussing Ghadaffi's statement. Does it mean that there are no pressing issue of National importance than to discuss one man's opinion.

Personally, i feel Ghaddafi's statement may be inflammatory and a little bit out of order, but it is also brutally honest.

Their sack is long overdue, like a pregnancy that is due and yet no delivery. At least, we know that the Ag. President has balls to call the shot now. Let me those noise makers who said he cannot fire them control the nation from their homes.

What we are waiting for now is the new cabinet members. Hope he won't recycle old brains like Rilwanu Lukman. Hope he will choose those that will help him place his mark in Nigerian history. We are really hoping that Obasanjo and Babangida won't choose whom he works with now.
