Isokotolopia:He has met the same standard like other intl airline, why should he not go to LHR |
Bliss24:Allen has met the standard why shouldn't he shoot for the stars? |
Air Peace has been offered a deal by the UK, to use its' Gatwick or Stansted Airport, both bases in London. However, the Nigeria's giant airliner declined the offer and stated that its' goal is Heathrow or nothing. Heathrow is one of the busiest airports in the world and Air Peace wants to join the fierce competition since it has obtained its TCO which is an authorization to fly to the UK. Both Gatwick and Stansted are among the busiest airports in the UK, but the CEO of Air Peace, Allen Onyema has rejected the dealing stating the BASA agreement. Mr Onyema also lamented that it took seven years for the UK to carryout its' audit and after the successful completion they want Air Peace to go to Gatwick. Allen Onyema further stated that BA and Virgin Atlantic both uses Nigeria's primary airports which are MMIA and Nnamdi Azikiwe intl Airport. Bliss24:Are you serious? a DGM is not a deputy branch manager, you guys are just kids, as a DGM, his salary cannot be less than 4m naira monthly, his official car is not less than 70m and he gets to change the car every four years....you guys need to grow up |
ppogba:Soludo was more than a banker, he was a Consultant to both the world bank and the IMF. |
TheBillyonaire:But you can see that from your response, you have answered your question. The "synthetic" milk that was described in the journal you read states that it is an imitation (it is not real milk). Now Milk bagged in large bags are neither synthetic nor adulterated. Some people talked about "industrial milk", milk used for further cooking processes are stated that such milk or cream are for dishes. Bagged powered milk are final products and are fit for consumption. How do you think arla imports full cream milk? It is in bags and they just refill into smaller sizes. ![]() |
Kobojunkie:When I first traveled outside the country, I was looking for evaporated or powdered milk and couldn't find any. My colleague an Egyptian brought some evaporated milk from home and while we were enjoying tea another colleague of European descent joined us and said he has never had an evaporated milk in his life....quite strange |
Ybholy:That is not true, when you have dishes that are high in fats, it makes no sense consuming whole milk if you can get filled or skimmed milk. People who are susceptible to high cholesterol will prefer skimmed milk. I don't want my daughters to get fat because they consume too much red meat and they love milk as well hence, I only buy skimmed milk at home. It is a matter of choice and health and not necessarily cash |
Sharpsharp00123:What you tag industrial milk is not the finished powdered milk on the market. Industrial milks are not finished products and the manufacturer will state what/how you can use it in dishes. Packaged powdered milk are finished products for consumption |
TheBillyonaire:Can you please state the ingredients used in detergent that is found in powdered milk? |
Exodus15v11:why do you think it is not real milk? |
Ibrahimlagosian:Faruk is Arabic/Islamic not Hausa |
TemplarLandry:I know you from politics section, please I wouldn't want you to turn this thread into a battle field. |
Let us gossip about these countries a bit. Nigerians might be trying to Japa to some of these countries that were rejected too . Ok, le us gossip about the countries |
Let us look at the countries with the most rejected Schengen applications per capita. Cape Verde recorded the highest number of Schengen visa application rejections in 2022, with 844 rejections recorded for every 100,000 people, while the total number of applications filed by these nationals reached 17,572. SchengenVisaInfo.com reports that 5,055 visa applications filed by Cape Verdeans were denied in 2022, representing 28.7 per cent of all applications filed, indicating that every third person in the country had received a visa application rejection in 2022. Kosovo and Suriname follow the list as second and third countries with the highest visa application denied per capita, with 722 and 548 denials per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively. This means that every ninth Kosovar and fifth Surinamese has received a negative decision on their application, as the Schengen Statistics data reveals. In addition, it is estimated that 11.2 per cent of Kosovo’s population was denied visas, accounting for 13,674 applications compared to 20.1 per cent of Surinamese nationals, totalling 3,416 applications. Furthermore, the United Arab Emirates had 442 rejections per 100,000 people, while 22.4 per cent of the population were denied visas, indicating that every fourth person received a refusal in their application. In total, 42,105 applications filed by Emiratis were rejected in 2022. The other three nationalities that followed next for the most rejected applicants include Algerians, Tunisians and Lebanese. In total, 393 visa applications were rejected per 100,000 people in Algeria, followed by 392 rejections recorded among Tunisian applicants and 340 among Lebanese. In general, 45 per cent of the population in Algeria was denied visas in 2022, followed by 29 per cent of the Tunisian population and 18.3 per cent of the Lebanese population, with the two latter nationalities having 48,909 and 18,232 rejected applicants, respectively. The number of denied applications is especially high for Algerian citizens, who received 179,409 negative answers. Consequently, Algerians have scored the highest expenditures for rejected applicants, with €31.93 million spent and are the nationality with the highest number of denied applications for 2022. The list of top ten nationalities with the highest rejection rates of applicants per 100,000 inhabitants is further concluded with Qatar, Morocco and Armenia, which had between 200 and 350 rejected applicants. More specifically, the 325 rejected applicants are recorded for 100,000 Qatari nationals, indicating that 8,837 visa applications were denied, accounting for 11 per cent of the total population that were denied visas. In other words, every ninth applicant from Qatar was denied a visa application last year. While every fourth Moroccan received a negative answer on their application, the total number of denied applicants reached 119,346 in 2022. This means that 45.7 per cent of the population was denied visas, and rejections per 100,000 people reached 315. Moreover, 283 people in Armenia were denied a visa per 100,000, concluding the list of the top ten nationalities with the most denied visa applications per 100,000 people. The share of the population denied visas in Armenia reached 12.7 per cent in 2022. This means that every eighth person in Armenia was a rejected applicant – one of the highest rates in this list. I am surprised Naija no dey up there Source:https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/these-are-10-nationalities-with-most-denied-schengen-visas-per-capita-in-2022/?dicbo=v2-W1DPl1K |
Gerrard59:The cost of living is increasing geometrically and it is mounting pressure on households but that shouldn't discourage getting married and having a family. Marriage requires planning and a concerted and conscious effort from both parties involved. Marriage doesn't require lump sums of cash saved and stashed, it only requires frequent cash-flows for sustenance. People often think that not having a wife and kids will make them richer, however I have seen 47 year olds without wives and kids yet they don't have duplexes neither do they drive Porsches. The society exists in a strata, and if you live within your strata planning in marriage because less stressful. For example, there are no tuition costs if your kids will attend public schools from primary to secondary and we also have public universities in Nigeria. Hence the cost of training a child becomes less burdensome. |
Persephone1:Having a purpose in life is great and marriage should be part of that purpose. Family should be an integral part of that purpose. One of the most intelligent being to walk this earth is Nicola Tesla, I doubt we would ever see anyone as intelligent as Tesla on this planet, yet he died miserably without wives and kids. No matter the respect that you command in your office, nothing gives a woman more fulfillment than coming home to hear mummy welcome and the kids rushing to throw themselves at you. I am an advocate of hard work myself, my wife and I made first class and my MBA was with distinction and I can longer count certifications. I had what someone people will call a fantastic career in Nigeria before I relocated due to work demands, changing jobs or getting a promotion never made me happier, what did was watching my daughter take her first baby steps, infact I declined overseeing some weekend functions that could quadruple my earnings because I couldn't trade it for watching my daughters tennis practice. There is no legacy that is bigger than forming a fantastic family and watching that family blossom and thrive. Finally we are not stronger than the whites mentally, we only have a better family support system than them . Family is a vaccine against mental health. Family is a shock absorber |
Persephone1:I naturally will not contribute but I where you said "We focus on marriage and let a lot around us rot" got my attention. Hence I would like to ask what should people channel this essence or energy that we are channeling on marriage on? We like to use the Western world as a yardstick, I have lived in both the USA and Northern UK, and one thing infact the only thing the average white man values about Africans is our marriage and our sense of family. Forget about the white you see on TV, everyone should get married, marriage is important, because after 45 it begins to get lonely. My wife was a financial expert but she switched to clinical psychology cos we saw the huge market for it. The statistics for people depressed, and miserable with mental health issues alarming. We are currently seeking licensing to open a full mental health home in England and Scotland. The more egalitarian we become should not mean that the fundamentals of society (marriage and family) should be jettisoned. As Africans we do not understand what we are doing, we don't have the supporting structures the whites have yet we are looking at their family disorientation as a form of emancipation. It will end badly. |
greatiyk4u:you don't know what a 2D structure is and you are an engineer? sorry I thought I was discussing with someone grounded in engineering. Let us end it here. |
greatiyk4u:The beams and columns are structural members, a lintel is a beam. This is quite basic, I wonder the type of engineers we are raising this days. Cracks can occur due to flexural and shear stress that doesn't imply every crack will lead to shearing or simple cracks or settlement cracks will lead to shearing. These are basic 2D structures we are discussing here. Please don't go out and tell people that a Lintel is not a structural member so that you don't embarrass yourself. |
Gerrard59:Okay apologies, perhaps I should have said the numbers were based on the number of people I interacted with. |
greatiyk4u:Lintel is a structural member. The Lintel is a horizontal beam and not a demarcation. If you are good with your theory of structures you would have learnt about bending moments and shear force. I will reiterate that some cracks resulting from uneven settlement are not threatening. Cracks can even occur due to poor quality of mix. Cracks that are threatening are cracks due to stress from the live loads, external pressure (wind) and the dead loads (from poor structural calculations) those are the cracks that leads to shearing. Using the Lintel beam to make the building a monolithic structure is an effective way to make the structure stable . My area of expertise is project finance, however I took engineering courses in my undergrad days and I was very good at it |
greatiyk4u:differential settlement can only lead to cracks and this can be partly managed if the lintel is used effectively to chain the building and make it a monolithic structure. However what we have here is a foundation failure |
Coldie:I have been to Texas, and Chicago. Almost all the Nigerians I met came through visit. Even the Nigerian lady (Nurse) that attended to me at a hospital in Texas told me that her only legal document was the RN exam she recently aced. She came in as a visitor in 2012. I can comfortably tell you that it is ratio 4:1 |
Coldie:the number of illegal Nigerians in the US is 4 times the legal population |
ecolime:Some people think they know their partner until the day of reckoning |
Zupay:He doesn't understand... |
Unless you want to Marry a full-time house husband. What you are preaching, you do not practice unless you are a jobless man. The man that preached this do not practice what is up there. |
Aaaaarghmed:Both of you will be committing adultery at some point in life. How will you distribute your children? |
grandstar:You want to Marry a sojourner? Your will open a new book of Lamentations |
lastkingsman:there are Female senators and deputy governors, and there is no law prohibiting females from becoming a governor or president |
