AgricultureRe: How To Access Boi's Cottage Agro Processing (cap) Fund by stagger: 2:52pm On Oct 22, 2014
CyreB:
@op, thanks for the information.
Please, can you tell us something more you know about the BOI's CAPfund? Because I am interested, but every effort to visit the website so far does not give comprehensive information as required.
Thanks in anticipation.
My brother, that is the way it is with bank loans. You will never get the complete information. For instance, for the CAP fund, you will need to get a guarantor who will undertake to pay off your liability if you default. Let us assume you need N5m for a business, who will guarantee to pay back the N5m if something happens to your business?

Let me give you an approach to bank loans. First, use your own money to run a micro-model of the business. Use this opportunity to learn the ins and outs of your business. Commit all the blunders and learn from it. I will advise you read FarmTech's thread on his poultry farm. It is a classical story of how someone started a micro-business model and learnt a lot of stuff he never knew about poultry. All the glamour that has been painted about poultry business was stripped bare and he saw firsthand what is involved.

It is only when you have produced a profitable model which can then be scaled up that you should now endeavour to approach a bank for a loan. So if you are new in the business, I would advise you to forget about any loans. Get a profitable model which can be scaled up. Then you can approach a bank to give you finance.

The CAP fund comes with 9% interest, which means if you borrow N5m, you are going to pay back a total of N5,450,000 in 60 months (not counting admin charges), or about N91,000 every month for 5 years. Does your business have such cash flow? If it does not, will it have it by the time the 6 months of grace is over?

Bros, look well before you leap.

For those booking hotels, there are good ones at Utako, Area 3, 8, 10 etc. They are above 10k but less than 20k. The trick is never take their prices. Ask for a discount and behave like u want to leave. There are good ones in Gwarinpa axis as well. Please do not be tempted to start going to outskirts. You will be caught in morning traffic.

Ladystewie:
News reaching me is that the formidable CU has suspended various students for many trivial reasons such as double piercings in their ear, phone possession, having sim enabled ipads and other silly reasons. The students are to be suspended for four weeks, just three weeks to examinations, and are to go home today.

IMO, this is wickedness of the highest order. How would you suspend students just a few weeks to exams? The normal practise of the school is to suspend erring students at the start of a new semester but, these students are going home towards exam period. And when people bash the school, they complain.

I also her the school takes great joy in expelling and suspending students for foolish reasons. And how the school makes final year students come back(spill over) for one whole year just because of a 3 unit course.. Really stupid angry
Your opinions??
You are an idiota. Which foreign university allows students to graduate after failing a 3-unit course in final year? Your brains seemed to have taken french leave.

When a father is entrusted with the resources of the state to better the lot of people, and decides to use money meant to send poor children to school and provide better lives for them and their parents, to build a private refinery in Brazil and send his kids to enjoy the loot abroad, then such people can expect the judgement of God to start striking them.

How many children died as a result of the kleptomania of Alams in Bayelsa? You think those parents' prayers to God to avenge their children on the thief of a governor will go unanswered?

Other thieving governors and politicians should take note: 2015 is a loaded year.

HealthRe: The First Ebola Patient In US Is Dead by stagger: 6:31am On Oct 09, 2014
PapiWata:
Good riddance to a very nasty boi-terrorist. This selfish and reckless man, Thomas Eric Dickhead, was in PERFECT health living in his adopted home-land of America. Next thing you know this fool decides to VISIT Liberia, his country of origin, DESPITE the rampaging Ebola epidemic killing one thousand souls a month there. Trouble dey sleep hin own je-je, before yanga come go wake am.

In Liberia on his voluntary vacation at Ebola ground-zero, the naturalized American citizen cum-bio-terrorist KNOWINGLY assisted a very sick woman, making physical contact with her in the process, and thus contracting Ebola himself. Now hiding his self-imposed death sentence by Ebola infection, this horrid person LIED at the airport at the time of his return to the US, when asked if he had made contact with ANY sick person while in Liberia.

Obviously, the now now-dead Liberian bio-terrorist was an under-achiever as an immigrant to America, because he had no medical coverage, and likely expected FREE treatment for his Ebola illness, followed possibly by 15 minutes of world fame as he charged big money for press interviews. Well, all those dastardly plans came to nothing, and the bio-terrorist was simply allowed to die, with treatment deliberately and rightfully DENIED him, until he croaked like the worthless scum-bag that he is.

Mr. Thomas Eric Dumbfuck, I hope you are enjoying your eternity as a charcoal shovel-wielding slave amid the fiery pits of deepest hell. May your wicked soul rot forever there, and may your memory be erased from the minds of all decent people like a bad dream at the break of dawn. To all other Liberians hoping to run to America for FREE Ebola treatment, let the fate of your role model be a lesson, to show the world there is NO free lunch. Stay the hell IN Liberia, and stop trying to spread that nasty disease. Head to America with that chit, and you WILL be left to die like the free-loading sack of excrement that you are.
Plain simple truth. These Liberian bioterrorists are just bad people.

EducationRe: Covenant University Students Build Cars, Tricycles by stagger: 10:51pm On Oct 06, 2014
There are always Nigerians who will never believe that anything good can come out of their own land. You may hate the man, but you cannot deny the impact he is making.

I participated several times in the Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists (JETS) competitions in the 80s, when it was hosted by Professor Peter Okebukola. As at that time, secondary school students were designing air conditioners, heaters, battery driven fans and many household appliances. I have once demonstrated the fractional distillation of crude oil in the Chemistry laboratory.

What you see in Covenant University was very commonplace in the Unity Schools of those days. The Federal Govt just let the schools rot and decay to the point of death, and become breeding places for cult members.

Is it not a shocker that a senator can collect N270,000 a day as sitting allowance and these Unity Schools which were the pride of Nigeria, churning out future whiz-kids are now in such a state of disrepair? Rather it is the wives of these politicians that are now building private schools with the money that their brigand husbands stole?

And yet some idiots on this forum will be calling the revolution in Covenant University stage-managed? If you are one of these nay sayers, your generations will be useless and may you partake of the punishment that these thieving politicians will receive when it comes. Nonsense!

Even if Jonathan doesn't win, it will be foolhardy of any government to suspend this programme... It has been the best thing for youths since NYSC.

Even other countries are trying to adopt this model.

America with all its power and intelligence doesn't have such a programme... Except social pay handouts and visa lottery.

This youwin will outlive Jonathan sef except corruption digs in...
Brother mi,

There was a lot of opposition to this program especially from some of the people who have held Nigerians hostage and who benefit from Nigerians not being empowered. GEJ stood his ground which is why the program stayed. When I see people criticizing him up and down I just laugh.

If he is re-elected (which I pray he is), there is every chance the program will continue, since it is his brainchild. If he loses, the program will be seen as a product of a previous administration and it will be jettisoned.

That is the cold hard fact of Nigerian politics.

CelebritiesRe: Tiwa Savage Packs Out Of Teebillz' House ? by stagger: 8:09pm On Oct 01, 2014
All these marriages built on ridiculous foundations. Most celebs think it is all about Dubai Dubai and diamond rings.

They forget that after all the glitter and razzmatazz, husband and wife will each wake in the morning with mouth odour.
Filthy personal habits previously unknown come out.
All the hidden stuff comes out. Maybe the husband is the type that throws his socks all over the place; na dat time e go come out. Maybe the wife watches too many films and is a shopping freak, buying plenty of unnecessary stuff; na dat time e go come out.
How do you think the woman preserves all those hairdos? Na hairnet galore. The husband will be lucky to see his wife in her complete made-up beauty.
The guy comes home in the mood for some great sex; that is the day madam will go on strike.

Wedding is for a day; marriage is for a lifetime. Those of us who have been in the institution for more than 10 years know what's up. You need to discover the essence of marriage very early and learn to adapt fast. Any characters that are inimical to the progress of the union must be stripped off.

Celebrity lifestyle is not very compatible with marriage. Dakore Egbuson's husband knew this and asked her to quit before they got married; thank God she complied. I am sure they are happier for it.

I seriously dont get this... Being someones wife doesnt mean a woman has to be afraid and just be told what to do like a slave who is afraid of a whipping...marriege is about mutual respect not all of this submissive behaviour you are talking about!

If i married such a man who beats me Id divorce his ass, take half his money and get him arrested
A true virtuous woman who the bible says has a price that is far above rubies would not care about the "half of his money"! You are a gold digger. Pure and simple.

dandydaniels: I am proud of my dad...that real g (rip to his soul) didn't beat my mum...He's a real man

there's a big difference between fear and respect...u can't punch out respect from your wife only fear

the story making rounds in almost every blog site is how teebillz have turned his wife tiwa savage into a punching bag...brother if that's true...I repeat if* that's true.... then you are not a real man

women are lesser beings(fact)....why waste your strength and time beating them? bro c'mon! they are made to be loved...to be bought clothes...jewelries...cars...taken to cool places...pampered...and at night made to sing in tongues to their creator

for the real men out there...let's control our tempers and treat every woman...not just our wives with respect. when it comes to women affairs,my dad is my role model. " never beat a woman son"

STOP DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Women are "weaker vessels", meaning that physically, they are not built to take certain kinds of physical stress, which is why their skin is softer and more delicate. They are not "lesser beings".

Your dad may not have been beating your mum physically, but was he treating her like a foot mat? That could even be worse than a physical beat-down. And it also shows the kind of mentality you have to call women Lesser Beings.
