People should always be wary when a business is painted as being very rosy without a mention of the known and unknown risk factors. Every business has benefits and risks. ALl should be put forward and if the business outweighs the risks, that is up to the investor to decide and take a decision thereafter. Generally speaking, any business where one does not control many variables has a lot of risk. |
favoryourl: yes thank GOD youwin 3 is gone now we awaits 4th.Look at this fool talking. You think the govt will pay you money to keep in your account and spend as you like? This is when the real work starts. By the time those very strict monitors start paying you a visit and you cannot justify your expenses, na that time you go know say ponmo na leather. By the way, there is a clause in the contract that if funds are not used properly, they will be called back. You have to submit your biometrics. Now big brother is watching you. |
dav8id:I was told OLAM gives credit facilities for sesame as from N10m, but that you have to submit collateral worth more than that to commence business with them. It is not for 50k businessmen. |
Since when TIMARIV (Rivers equivalent of LASTMA) become police? |
The only reason why Keshi is still coach of Nigeria is because he shares his salary with NFF officials. The problem they have had with him of late is that they are trying to negotiate a new sharing formula. This is the same nonsense that jeopardized our 2010 World Cup where Lars Lagerback was brought in and used to siphon funds meant for our World Cup campaign in a revenue sharing arrangement. This is the bane of our football and needs to be stopped. |
authority2006: Agricultural produce storage business is not always as rosy as this guy is making you guys to believe. By the time you want to sell, there may be a glut in the market despite the fact that it is not harvesting period. Produce storage business is like a stock market, no guarantee of making profit. I was into this business in the past (up to early this year) so I'm speaking from the experience. The day this guy made the first post, I read it and I really liked his spirit. But along the line, his posts moved from advice and information to what I called Persuasion. Now, the guy is talking about his firm/boss, can we ask this guy the real role his firm (I mean the people he works for) are playing in all this? Are they also buying on their own which they store and resell and make their own profit or are they luring you guys into the business and make their profits through you guys? If later is the case, it means you guys will never be told the truth because they will make their own profits whether you guys make profit or not (they make their own profits either way). Again, storing your bought produce in a highly volatile environment is not advisable be it Fulani, Tiv, or Eggon community as all of them have capacity of spring surprise attacks on one another. He even said that because he is an Eggon boy/man, nobody can attack him. While I don't pray for you to be attacked, but lone Eggon man is as vulnerable as as lone Yoruba, Hausa or Ijaw man. Again, what I've also learnt is that we should be wary of business partners who talk arrogantly to us on phone because they always try to portray themselves as well-to-do and create a sense of "always in a hurry" and "ever busy" personalities. This is to prevent you from interacting with them and find out the area that is not clear to you through necessary questions. You guys should be very careful because:I asked the same question if people can refer to some earlier pages. As a businessman myself, I know very very firsthand that projections of profit are never set in stone and no one can control all the variables. I mean, who ever thought of the communal clashes that led to the burning of one of the storehouse markets? That certainly did not come up. Anyway business is risk. Nothing risked, nothing gained. I looked at the risk and felt I could not effectively manage them, and some of the comments the OP himself made did nothing to erase my doubts, so I decided to pass the opportunity. There are others who will take the risk and it may yet pay off for them. Well, business is risk. But risks must be effectively managed. |
Her looks at 29 were just too stunning! |
ow11: SirJohn,Go and know God by yourself. When you do, you will stop running around chasing miracles. Go and read the story of the Miracle Man named Morris Goodman. PURSUE THE CREATOR AND NOT MIRACLES. When you have God BY YOURSELF, YOUR OWN FAITH will make you whole. Many people have claimed their healings on their own bed without going to any healing school. It is all in the Book. OP, Go and know God by yourself. |
I disagree with the OP. I have two friends who are vet doctors. One of them owns a mighty poultry farm, and does consultancy services to various large farm owners. I have also seen a vet doctor here in Abuja who is into big time dog breeding. Another one I know consults for large fish farm owners and has a large fish farm himself. I am also aware that vets can work in research institutes. With all these animal diseases like bird flu and the rest of them, is it not possible for a vet to go into research with research grants and come up with a vaccine? There was a time when Rinderpest wreaked havoc in Africa in the 1980s and 1990s, killing millions of cows across Africa. I was reading online the other day out of curiosity and discovered that in the years I first heard about Rinderpest in an NTA documentary in 1984, a vaccine was developed and today the disease has been declared eradicated! Nigerian Vet doctors should open their minds up to possibilities. Today we hear Ebola came from fruit bats and that it crosses to monkeys, apes, bushmeat and then humans. Is there no role for vets to come into a stage of the research to develop treatments or vaccines? |
PeckNARM: Hmm worst that happen to me was on route to asaba from abuja! I entered a gallop and my radiator broke /leaked!(not that I knew immediately! This was somewhere in Edo state before okpella! Worst thing is I was with a foreigner and a fully loaded car! This was around 5:30pm! 7pm we were still in the bush!(at this point I separated 150k in my pocket and tucked it into my sock I was wearing! Managed to get a number for a car to tow us! Voice on phone said 25kAbuja to Asaba is an 8 hour journey. What in the world were you doing at Okpella area by 5.30pm? Waoh! |
kobonaire: Lived in fear?? Is the average South African always having to run away from trouble? Let's be factual, he was a celebrity in South Africa (and the world actually) after his Olympics glory. I would never say he was "suffering". He had money/endorsements, admiration from the South African people, a gorgeous girl friend .... he was really living the life sans legs (but had prosthetics). The only psychological problem he had was his anger management issues and his propensity to use his firearms indiscriminately (like at traffic stops etc).I think you need to ask Lucky Dube and many unfortunate ones like him the bolded. Try living in Jo'burg as a Nigerian...I am sure you will understand better. |
Everyone has taken sides. But the fact is that there are some things that only God knows. We cannot tell if he shot in panic, or it was premeditated. I see the judge sentencing him for negligent killing. So he will not get 25 years, but will get to spend some time in jail. Either way, Oscar's life is ruined, Reeva Steenkamp's parents are also ruined (their daughter is never coming back) and the judge would have played it safe to stay out of controversy. Don't forget the likelihood of appeal. At the end of the day, the question is: what kind of society gets so violent that murder, robberies, rapes and all forms of violent crimes takes hold for paraplegics to have to keep several firearms (including one under his pillow)? At the end of the day, Naija is still a good place to live in. I will never substitute living in Naija for SA. NEVER! |
cyril10: I was on leave in mid August 2014 when I decided to travel to Lagos with my family. Before the leave started, I gave my car to my mechanic to service and to make sure everything is in order before we embark on the journey since I wouldn't want to put my little kids in jeopardy .This scam has been exposed here so many times it is still a wonder how folks fall for it. |
JAkpayen: That means you can make about $7,000 from 1kgBefore you dive in, know whether the river is 20m deep or only 1m deep (in which case you may pin your head and end up in a real deep sh*t). |
I don't know why people are fretting up and down. Even after results are announced, it takes 3 months for the first tranche to be released. I would suggest that those who know their businesses well and are confident of winning should start working at the projects they intend to spend the money on, because if you do not satisfy the conditions of the 1st tranche, the 2nd will not be released. The main work is on the 1st and 2nd tranche. By the time you finish with the 2nd tranche and pass the milestones, the 3rd tranche is virtually yours to keep. |
The Real Hulk Hogan (Terry Bollea) is about 6ft 7 inches tall, and recently celebrated his 60th birthday. Hey, wrestling is all about make belief isn't it? |
Bobby4090: One very important fact you forgot is never bring strange women into your matrimonial home to live.If indeed this is the case, then this is indeed baffling. What will a woman who is not my wife be doing in my house? |
Jennydoris: 1. Never Deprive your spouse with attention, Love andThis is the only sensible post I have seen since the entire saga hit the newswires. Sadly, some childish fools will still make stupid comments here. OP you are on point. |
We Nigerians can be funny. If the banks did nothing and allowed every Tom Dick and Harry with a fever to enter their crowded banking halls to mix and touch people, everyone would be yelling blue murder. Now they are doing the right thing and ensuring that the "crazy" ones among us who have no qualms spreading their illnesses to others are kept out, we are still complaining. It is better to be safe than sorry. By the way, you will notice hand sanitizers outside the CAC headquarters in Abuja. Even when I showed the security man my own personal sanitizer, he insisted I must use theirs and I was happy about it. For one thing, unlike us we are taking the fight against Ebola more seriously than would have been expected and organizations which attend to the public have joined the fight: this is laudable. |
Ha ha ha. You think Lag is expensive? Try Abuja especially now that national conventions will soon start coming up. Yet the hotel people can't even spray insecticides in the damn rooms. You go wan craze! ![]() |
Long distance is bad for relationships. All the media talk is just salt and pepper. Only Pastor Chris and Anita know the real truth. We outsiders should stop judging people. Nobody except the man, his wife and God know the real story behind this. |
onidodo: I know that winning this grant will not be as difficult as many of us think. Consider this: a guy that we did d interview together ( he saw panel 11) did not attend the second stage of this competition. His boss didn't give him time off. But YOUWIN still called him for this final interview! I was even noted on his document that he didn't attend second stage training. For me I'm sure I will get. I hope and pray d grant will not be unnecessary reduced. What do you mean? The second stage was to submit the full proposal. Which one be "attend second stage"? |
awezu: we all are winners already. I got information from a reliable source in youwin admin that the purpose of the interview is to determine the genuineness of your business plan and to fish out those that were helped with the proposal and this they can only know from your in-depth knowledge, composure and eloquence. They are not specialists in your field but psychologists . Note if they cant fish anyone that was helped out ., we all will get the grant though amount given will be reduce.Stop deceiving yourself. You don't know it costs money to conduct interviews? If they had wanted to give everybody it would have happened without the interview. The basis of an interview is to prune down the number of applicants, and YouWIN is no exception. |
fcmacdon: I THINK ALL NIGERIANS SHOULD PRAY FOR THIS FAMILY AT THIS TRYING TIME. WE SHOULD NOT GIVE DEVIL A CHANCE. EVEN IN BIBLE OUR LORD JESUS WAS TEMPTED AFTER FASTED FOR 40 DAYS AND NIGHT. WE SHOULD NOT MAKE MOCKERY OF THIS SITUATION, NO BODY IS ABOVE MISTAKES.You should know Nigerians thrive at envying the success of others. The moment I bought a new car my neighbour started carrying face for me until I told him to hide his face in the sand. I then bought another one to rub it in. Nigerians are generally wicked and envious of successful people. I am hardly surprised by all the negative posts out here. I only wish Pastors Chris and Anita can see what their actions are doing to their kids and congregation. |
May God punish Onyebuchi Chukwu and his descendants if that N1.9billion is not spent improving that isolation facility and taking care of the Ebola patients. May he die a very painful death if a dime of that money enters his pockets. ![]() |
greggng: Please some of you should stop blaming rochas on this one. There is no land in Imo state..so Amenike has no reason to blame him. Rochas is not a fraud like the fee dee fee governors. He was desperate to buy a land and he has gotten what he is looking for. If he had hired a good lawyer at the onset, he will not be in this problem. The lawyer ought to have sighed the land with a view to finding out if it is government property or not..All hope is not lost yet....let him petition gej and efcc. As a star he will get his fund back.Exactly my thoughts. The so-called PA must have sold him COMMITTED LAND and that is why before anyone buys land, the land must be investigated thoroughly. If he had paid Lawyer here just a tiny fraction of that money to do the needful, tory for no enter voicemail. |
jmoore:A fool talking. |
What is wrong with the black man? Where was the woman running to? |
Xpressionz: Just to share my experience in almost one month of working at freelancer.com...Demand for paid samples next time, or file a complaint. I have been on Freelancer for 4 years and after making more than $20,000 on that site, I have seen the best and the worst. |
Rose111: ITS NOT CONFIRMED AND PLS STOP PEDLLING FALSE INFORMATIONSAre you in a fool's paradise? The Ministry of Health has already issued a statement to that effect. |
Last time was in Dec 1985 in my mama's village. |
