OP, I get your point but you need to understand something. Entertainers (especially those who play the kind of music we hear in Nigeria) do not have lifetime careers. For every successful one, there are more than 1,000 who do not make it. Timi Dakolo's career has struggled when compared with some of his Idol contestants like Omawunmi. Even for the best entertainers, a time will come when their music and style will fade out and succumb to that common enemy of all men called time. It happened to MJ, MC Hammer, etc. Where are all those stars we imitated with funny hairdos in the 1980s? My senior prefect in school who used to spot one of those hairdos is as bald as can be today! But when you go to school and pick up an education and a skill, you can earn with it for life with no limit as to what you can achieve. So it is a matter of choice: a) Earn those millions as an entertainer for 3 to 10 years on the average, OR b) Use your education and skill to earn for 40 to 50 years. Mind you, earning is not just from a salary. You can be creative. Develop software. Write books. Create a new product or develop and invention. Pioneer some kind of research. Start a business and aim to turn it into a conglomerate or a global brand. As parents, it is our duty to teach our kids and show them these options so they can learn. |
Liars and thieves. |
Tazmode:Destiny is written, but it can be radically altered especially with curses by one's parents. It is in the bible, and I have seen living examples of both blessings and curses affecting children. |
condralbede: GAME OVER.....AM NOT JUST HAPPY WITH THIS FAT REF.FINALRef was fair. How many times did we turn over the ball? Who ever wins a game in the 21st century by hoofing the ball into the air? No attempt to string passes from the defence. The team with better tactical discipline and mental strength won. Plain and simple. |
Dannyxy: robbing, no debate, pure robbingWho robbed who? Instead of that stupid Ayila to let the ball go, she went interfering with play. What a blockhead that Ayila is. |
GenBuhari:The biggest fool that lived. Bernard Shaw and Judy Woodruff of CNN ran a one hour documentary on the Kikwit outbreak in 1995. I watched it personally then and got to know about the disease. 19 years after, you drop out of dream street and start spewing your ignorance here. Better get educated bro. Ignorance is expensive. |
faithugo64: most of the students there dnt study despite the huge amount they pay, they sometimes cant stand students from a community secondary school, its not about d money, the question is,at the end, which do you graduate with;a certificate or a sabificateSeconded! |
Mechanization is the only way to reduce cost, improve capacity and efficiency in the long run. For how long will someone keep peeling cassava with manual labor? |
asadike: mr nwosu has 2 daughters and 4 sons. They were preparin 4 xmas. Ngozi is sweepin d floor and mary is cuttin d pineappleYou are so on point! |
bizhub: Pls did they ask of date of birth and birth certificate!!!!the date of birth on my I'd card is different form the date of birth on my waec certificate??Any idea??Better start harmonizing it now, because even when you are awarded the grant, the YouWIN secretariat will conduct a final verification, including age verification. If that discrepancy is discovered, you could be disqualified. The contract that YouWIN signs with awardees still provides for disqualification at any stage. Somebody in YouWIN 1 was disqualified AFTER award for age cheating. Don't get caught out. |
I have never seen such in my entire life! |
So that crude Ojukwu is back. But why only Igbo men dey occupy that position naaa? From late Iwendu to Ojukwu to Mbah and back to Ojukwu. Na wa o! |
SirShymex: I honestly don't think Jesus, our Lord and personal saviour, will agree with you. Aren't they meant to be leaders of men, living a modest life that's Christ-like?Why not start by selling all you have first? Just make sure I don't spot you begging your neighbour for loan to pay your rent. |
LSA: I need a land in maraba/nyanya/nassarwa to buy. I intend using the land for a poultry farm/block industry so i need suitable areas.I would advise you forget Mararaba and instead start heading towards Keffi. Land will be much cheaper in some of those villages there. |
lat4real: I don't know him... R.I.PHe headed the military tribunal which sentenced Gideon Orkar and some of the April 22 1990 coup plotters to death. |
OP, you are just another copycat, lifting from several IITA documents without quoting them. The documents are found online and can be downloaded. I know everything about this business. I know about 4 companies in Nigeria which sell the mechanical fryer (costs N450,000), the large fryer tray for manual frying (costs N70,000 from NVN Limited), as well as the hydraulic presses. All those equipment are expensive and out of the reach of the local farmer. The IITA even has the layout of a modern cassava processing plan, with a floor plan of the entire structure laid out on 1 plot of land. You are not bringing anything new here. So be original and stop lifting information without quoting the source. Are you here to add value or simply to market your services (whatever they may be)? |
Why is the Nigerian coach bellowing? ![]() |
Which kain agbaya moderator dey for here naaa? Put am for front page..no way. Update scores...whosai? Mttcchhhhewwww! ![]() |
Well, it was a mistake cancelling it in the first place, as banks would definitely have found other ways to rip off their customers. |
obiscolly: Seriously, I think you still have a lot to learn about life. Don't need to repeat what Denn said already.Wait until your competition sends moles and spies to come to your business posing as unemployed people looking for work. Then make the mistake of employing them. Then you will understand better how mean human beings are and the extent they can go to in order to put out the competition. The business world is not for niceties. You ask those close to a man like Jim Ovia about what hides behind some of those public smiles you see him putting up. This is coming from someone involved in the business world since 1986. I wonder how old you were then when I was hustling the streets of Port Harcourt then as a teenager. I can assure you that I know a lot about life than 90% of Nairalanders, and we learn more everyday. Problem is that many of you are just too naive. You need to enter the battleground of the business terrain in Nigeria to understand what I am talking about. |
Shippyme is a very useless company. I have heard all manner of horror stories and almost fell victim myself. Scandalously bad company with very poor customer service. |
That Patrick Sawyer man should right now be sitting in the hottest part of hell fire. Banza of the first order! ![]() |
dozzybaba: Mister Oga...the call consultant i spoke to just before i ordered the T-bills wasn't very clear on the bank rates. She sounded as though T-bills were entirely different from FD...Gerrit?You did not do your research well. Fixed deposit can hardly pay you 6%. Treasury bills is paying 10% plus. And you are complaining. |
Denn: Hello guys. Why should they do that? So that you will learn from their errors and have an unfair edge over them? This is a business plan COMPETITION bro. |
Stupidity reigning supreme. OP, when have you ever seen a person having high fever or vomiting blood thinking of having a haircut talk less of actually having one? Olodo rapata! |
VolvoS60: Those of us on these boards who are within a certain age group will remember when the FRSC was first created. That was 1988, when Wole Soyinka would step out in his Corps Marshall uniform. Then NTA and RSTV Channel 55 (later Channel 22) were the only stations one could watch in those days growing up in Port Harcourt. |
OP, you should be arrested. The ignorance being put out on a daily basis by Africans is why this disease is spreading. |
dav8id: At this moment price is 19200 naira.Hmm. This is beginning to sound like trading on the floors of the commodity markets. |
I am happy to see that my humble suggestion on watching Dragon's Den and focusing on the questions asked by the Dragons and not the drama, has been accepted as something that will be of help to many attending the interview. I have has the opportunity of being interviewed by the EDC panel sometime in the past and I can tell you that the default mindset of the panelists is that of telling you your business will not work and is not worthy of such money. It is therefore your job to convince them that the business you will present for the award is: a) Viable b) Capable of employing Nigerians on a sustainable level. You must know your financials. Do not pad figures, do not be too optimistic or pessimistic. So take time to pin point the key points of your business, learn how to present and be confident. |
For this ex-billionaire now turned millionaire (his net worth is down to less than $900 million) to display such crass ignorance about the disease is pathetic. The fool was even advocating that the US doctor and health worker, his countrymen, should have been left to die in Liberia. This is a man who is so full of himself. What has he done for charity compared to Bill Gates? Fool! |
FarmTech: ..Sesame seed is also called benniseed, or "ridi" in Hausa. It is an oily seed with many food and industrial uses. A collaboration between MARKETS (an agribusiness oriented NGO) and OLAM Nigeria Ltd (a multi-billion dollar commodity buying company) has ensured that sesame farmers in Nasarawa state get a guaranteed market for their product by supplying same to OLAM. I personally want to go into it next year as the return on investment approaches 65% with good agric practices. I just dey gather some kind money to hit this business on a commercial scale. |
dav8id: yam storage is very simple though i did not involved on it but many of my friends and family member do the business, you can buy yam at cheapest price from same market i mentioned in my egusi thread. Why not just store the yam by building a yam barn? That was how the Igbos used to do it and indeed, the wealth of an Igbo man in those days was measured by the size of his yam barns and the contents. These principles of wealth creation have not changed; the white man simply blinded us and we became enslaved thereafter. |

destiny is written. I don't think curses can hinder it.
