Education / Re: Fraud In Private Nursery/Pri Schl:Must A Child Buy A Book His Elder Ones Have? by Stakeholders(m): 6:05pm On Sep 21, 2021
Osobi32:
The fault is with we the parents, we killed our government school system and now the private schools are here to rob us of our hard earned cash. Ask urself this simple question..... did u attend a private school to become who u are today? Have u not seen kids who attend a regular government school and are still very bright academically, even more brighter than those that attend the so called private schools. I think we all need to wake up and go back to the old ways! Same curriculum, same books, same subjects..... the only difference is the building and environment and most private schools are not up to standard of what a private schools should be in actual sense. Meanwhile I have noticed that most of us parents do send our kids to private school just to show off and to feel belonged. Too bad

With due respect, the fault is not on parents rather it on the custodian of public schools- the ministry. Because many of them are stakeholders of private school they know is public schools are up to date people will not take their wards to private schools, they decide to run public schools with their aggression

Akeredolu (and maybe Amaechi - because of his works in railway transformation) is the only mainstream politician I will vote for if there is to be an election in 2023.

That combination cannot stand in this country, we all know religion is also determinant factor in Nigeria politics. So Christian Christian cannot work for President so also Muslim Muslim

Tinubu we know... Like for him..

Thread seen.

It will be difficult for Tinubu to context because Hausa will not agree to vote for Christian running mate if he decides to choose Christian Hausa. And he cannot choose Muslim. Secondly age is not on Tinubu side anymore couple.
Politics / Re: The Dictator In Every Nigerian By Fredrick Nwabufo by Stakeholders(m): 12:09pm On Aug 13, 2021
I can't agree less on this. Imagine someone accusing the leaders of ignoring his citizens right only to get their and listen to almost only his tribe. Imagine a VC in our University when he was a student of the same university protest when they want to reduce their chicken to half only to shut down the school and arrested the students for protesting against water supply. Lastly imagine some people protesting against violence, killing and terrorism only to turn themselves to murder of innocent soul whenever they disobey their oder of stay at home.

But I think it's very wrong of them doing that. It has if Church support all the killing and violence insulated by IPOB which Christian doctrine is strictly against. I expect the christian bodies and leaders in Nigeria to quickly call them into order.

Though he would have be the Best. But he's too silent for my liking. Assuming he assume office as president he might still not talk on some people wrong doing. That's what happened to former president Good luck Jonathan. He as the experience and wish to do good but those that are in his cabinet shared diverse ambition and he cannot control them.

Politics / Re: If Lagos Can Transform Itself Without Secession, Why Can't Onitsha? by Stakeholders(m): 4:02pm On Jun 16, 2021
butterfly777:
Lagos did not transform itself.

- Lagos was the first FCT, leading to early infrastructures, and attracting the earliest investors in Nigeria.

- This also attracted a huge population, which serves as a ready market for almost any product or service.

- These continue to work in favour of Lagos, giving it a huge IGR compared to other states in Nigeria that didn't have the privilege of being an FTC before.

- Many investors don't want to leave the Lagos market, even if their HQ is in Abuja.

Though I appreciate pst Lagos leaders for their efforts, we should also know that there is no mystery to Lagos economic status in Nigeria.

Plus:
Don't fool yourself. Lagos will secede from Nigeria with Yoruba nation.

Eko oni b'aje.
Oodua a gbe'wa oo.

Lagos is not the first FCT in Nigeria. The first FCT in Nigeria is Calabar.

It's a solidarity sign.....we move!

This guys out there knew something is not just right with Nigeria and its selfish leaders. How can you explain a country with abundant resources n huge potential cannot take a giant stride or any meaningful development since 1960....we are still talking about creating jobs, good roads, railways, hospitals and steady electricity 50 years after independence!
It's just painful!
Please note that the westerners don't want Africa to develop because if they do they will be competing with them. These people are just creating awareness for the enterprise nothing more.

Though I like the way Jack is responding to the issue
