The Lagos State Police Command have arrested the matron of a Lagos hospital, Mrs. Victoria Ukwu, after a one year-old twin’s body part was sliced off.

After the one year-old twin’s body part (right cheek) was sliced of by a yet-to-be identified person which led to her death, the matron was said to have claimed that it was a rodent that inflicted the cut. It was further gathered that the two nurses at the hospital, Navico Clinic and Maternity, who were on duty on the day of the incident, were also arrested.

Punch reported that the twins were admitted at the Lagos hospital on Tuesday, August 28, after they started vomiting. And while Esther was recuperating, Favour’s condition was reportedly deteriorating. She gave up the ghost three days later. However the sliced off body part was noticed by the deceased’s mother, Amaka, after she turned up at the hospital with her sister-in-law to remove the corpse.

The distraught mom narrated how the matron asked a nurse to administer sleeping pills on Favour on Wednesday evening, adding that her daughter slept all through that night till Friday evening. According to her, the matron reassured her that Favour would be fine after she complained of the long sleep.

“I left to get the N6,000 balance that Friday evening. When I came back, she was still sleeping and taking another drip. In the night, she started breathing heavily. I rushed to call a nurse to attend to her.  She took her to the matron’s office.

“The matron came to meet me outside and enjoined me to be calm. After a while, she came out again and told me that my daughter was dead. She asked me to make arrangements to remove her corpse immediately. I told her that my husband was not around and that I could not handle the situation alone.

“I called my sister-in-law to come to the hospital. I was somewhere at the hospital throughout that night. Around 5am, the doctor came to me again to ask about how I wanted to remove the corpse. Around 7am, my sister-in-law came and went to the ward where Favour was. She saw bloodstains all over the bed sheet that was used to cover the baby. She came back to ask me what was wrong.”

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, who confirmed the incident at the Lagos hospital, stated that the suspects who had a connection to the sliced off one year-old twin’s body part, have been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation  and Intelligence Department, Yaba, for further investigation.

Oti said, “On  September 1, around 12pm, Mrs. Amaka Orogbu of No 4, Salawu Street, Santana Bus Stop, Shibiri, reported that her daughter, Favour Orogbu, was sick and hospitalised at Navico Clinic and Maternity along Shibiri Road, Ajangbadi for treatment.

“On August 31, at 11.30pm, the matron Mrs. Victoria Ukwu, 52, confirmed the death of the baby to her. The baby was wrapped and kept ready for removal. The following morning, the mother discovered that the corpse was bleeding and the right side of the baby’s face was sliced off by an unknown person right inside the hospital and she suspected foul play by the hospital’s staff.

“The said matron was arrested and she confirmed the allegations, but expressed shock at what happened. The nurses on duty have also been arrested and the case is under investigation to ascertain whether or not the clinic is licensed by relevant regulatory agencies to operate as a maternity home.”

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido has been announced to perform alongside J. Cole, Nelly and Big Sean at the Dreamville Festival in North Carolina, US.

Davido will join J. Cole at the Dreamville festival in North Carolina, US this September.
This was announced via a tweet shared on the offical Twitter handle for the festival, [@Dreamvillefest} on Friday, August 31st.

The inaugural edition of the festival which will hold on September 15 in Raleigh, North Carolina, US will be headlined by Dreamville Records boss, J Cole and he will be joined by other international superstars like Davido, Big Sean, Bas, Nelly, Young Thug, Teyana Taylor and more.

The multi-stage festival, curated by the platinum-selling rapper from Fayetteville, will also feature culture, food and art.

The Dreamville Festival will donate proceeds to the Dorothea Dix Park Conservancy and the Dreamville Foundation, a nonprofit J.Cole founded in 2011 to “bridge the gap” between the worlds of opportunity and the urban youth of Fayetteville.

Davido is currently on his way to the United States, where he will kick off his Locked Up Tour, which will see him perform in several cities including Boston, Chicago and Philadelphia.

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, has boastfully said he “one of the greatest managers in the world,” even if he fails to win the Engligh Premier League title this season.

Mou stated this while speaking to the media on Friday, he said that last season was successful, even if he did not win any silverware.

The Portuguese has been facing huge criticism after his side was thrashed 3-0 by Tottenham at Old Trafford, having suffered a 3-2 defeat to Brighton in their second fixture of the 2018/2019 campaign.

Mourinho delivered a message of defiance, telling reporters;

The 57 suspected homosexuals, arrested by the officers attached to the Lagos State Police in Egbeda area of the state have been granted bail.

They were arrested at the Kelly Ann hotel in Egbeda, Lagos state, last weekend, have been granted bail and later arraigned at the Magistrate court by the police yesterday August 29th and were granted bail.

Recall that the Lagos state police command arrested the suspects on Saturday August 25th on allegations that they were being initiated into Homosexuality.

The Lagos state police spokesperson, CSP Chike Oti, in a chat with LIB, said the case against the suspected homosexuals is still very much alive as they are expected to appear before the court again.

Two Nigerian prophets have been arrested for beheading a woman for ritual purposes and burying her body in the church premises

The suspects, Olusola Akindele, 42, and Ayodele Bamiduro, 42, of the Lion of Judah Church of Christ, 13, Robiyan Avenue, Robiyan, near Ijoko, were arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command following an investigation after the woman's remains was found.

According to Crimepuzzle, the victim a 40-year-old woman identified as Iya Aanu, had on July 30, 2018, visited Olusola, who she had been dating for two years, in his Assess Road residence at Mosefejo.

They had sex and as the woman was relaxing afterwards, her lover smashed her head with a heavy piece of wood and dragged her to a room within the apartment. She struggled but eventually lost the battle.

After she gave up the struggle, Olusola dragged her lifeless body to the bathroom and severed her head and hands, and later dumped her remains in an uncompleted building behind his residence.

He then took the severed head and hands to his accomplice's church, the Lion of Judah Church of Christ on 13, Robiyan Avenue, where he buried the body parts.

Disclosing how the suspects were arrested, CP Iliyasu said a complaint was lodged at the Agbado Police Divisional Headquarters by the Baale of Igbore Robiyan.

The Baale informed the police that a headless, decomposing body of a woman was found in an uncompleted building within the community.

Upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of Agbado, CSP Olatunji Omonijo, was asked to investigate and unravel the mystery behind the killing. Investigation led them to the suspects who have reportedly confessed to the crime. The CP narrated;

<blockquote>On interrogation, Olusola Akindele, who claimed to be a prophet in a church, confessed that the victim was his woman friend, who he simply identified as Iya Aanu. He stated further that they had been dating and hibernating for two years.

On the fateful day, the deceased came to visit him, as usual, and after they made love, and the woman was relaxing, the so-called prophet surreptitiously brought out a very big clog that looked like a pestle with which he smashed the woman's head.</blockquote>

The CP advised the public to be careful whom they associate with and always notify at least one person about their whereabouts when leaving the house to ensure their security and safety.

Former Plateau governor, Jonah Jang, has joined the growing list of Nigerian politicians who have indicated interest in contesting for the country's presidency in the 2019 general election. 

Jonah Jang who had repeatedly linked his ordeals to his presidential ambition insisting that they were politically motivated, is expected to lead his supporters to the secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party to formally intimate them of his interest to join the 2019 presidential race.

With this, the former Plateau governor who is representing Plateau North in the National Assembly now joins 15 politicians who have signified their intention to contest the presidency of Nigeria in 2019 on the platform of PDP.

Punch reported that Plateau PDP secretariat is wearing a new look ahead of Jang’s declaration today. A notice released by the immediate-past Secretary to the State Government during the administration of Jang and now Director-General of his Presidential Campaign Committee, Prof. Shedrack Best, revealed that the declaration event will start at 12 noon.

It reads;

 “This is to notify party faithful and well-wishers that the date for submission of a letter of intent to the party (PDP) for the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by Distinguished Senator Jonah Jang is now Tuesday (today) August 28 2018 at 12 noon. The venue is the PDP State Secretariat opposite NTA Jos. All are invited to grace the occasion.”

This is coming after Justice Daniel Longji of Plateau State High Court granted bail to Jang and a former cashier in the office of the Secretary to Plateau State Government, Yusuf Gyang Pam. The accused persons were arraigned before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and slammed with 12 counts, bordering on alleged misuse of some special funds released to Plateau state by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

The offences were said to have been perpetrated few months to the end of Jang’s tenure as governor in 2015.

The presidency as reacted to the audio released by Boko Haram to prove that Leah Sharibu, the only remaining Dapchi school girl in their capitivty, is still alive. Recall that in February, 119 Dapchi school girls were abducted. In March, 113 were returned by Boko Haram while Leah, a Christian who refused to convert to a Muslim, was held back.



Yesterday, a faction of the Boko Haram sect released a video as proof of life. Leah who has been held captive for 7 months now by a breakaway faction from Boko Haram called Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), pleaded with the government of Nigeria to secure her release. Reacting to the video this morning on Channels TV, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, said only God can determine when she would return home. When asked how much longer would she be in the captivity, Adesina said

''I think that question can only be answered by God but I believe that God is interested in that young girl and will ensure that she is preserved. By the time the video clip we have now is verified, One would be sure it is her actually and when that is determined, we should all be glad that she is alive. When will she return? By the grace of God, government is working on it, working at it and we believe she will be back.''



Adesina also stated that President Buhari had always maintained that his government would do everything possible, including paying money, to ensure that the abducted girls are released.

Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law who bought a new house few days to his birthday weeks ago, has shared the testimony behind the property's acquisition. 



According to the comedian, his home was shaky before he bought the house and he had just 65k in his account then. Sharing his testimony on Instagram, Seyi Law further disclosed that he lost money after he invested in his show, even though it was a great one. He wrote;

God is my rock and my refuge whom shall I fear. Our testimony is huge and no man can share in the glory of what God did, is doing and is going to do. Tears of Joy filled my eyes and my mouth is in awe of God's faithfulness. All the people and brand that I have worked for seem to have abandoned me this year. I travelled out of Nigeria for my shows, had a great show but lost a lot of money.

My heart raced, my home was shaky, but I kept faith. I contemplated stopping my shows and selling some of our lands, but you know God reminded me of the word He gave me in November, 2017. In May, just about a month to buying this house, I had just N63k in my account, having invested in my shows and by my 35th Birthday on the 22nd June, 2018, God did what only him could have done.

If your heart is in a troubled place, there is a God who is Jehovah Shalom. He knows and if you can trust him, he will do exceedingly and abundantly more than you can ever imagine. The Buhari Media Organisation, BMO, has fired back at U.S President Donald Trump for calling President Buhari 'lifeless' following their meeting in April.

In a statement signed by the group’s Chairman and Secretary, Niyi Akinsiju and Cassidy Maduekwe, Buhari Media Organisation stated that Buhari is fit and capable of running for the 2019 elections. According to them, this was not the first time Trump was heard to make such derogatory remarks at World leaders, hence Buhari would not be distracted by such.

The statement reads, “President Muhammadu Buhari is fit and capable to run for the 2019 elections and oversee the affairs of the country for four more years President Donald Trump’s hate speech notwithstanding.

“We are aware that President Trump’s disrespect for World Leaders is not new; his comments on Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, calling him ‘meek and mild’; his reference to Germany’s Leader, Angela Merkel’s actions as ‘insane’, or his outlandish Tweet at the UK’s Theresa May, and more recently, the alleged remarks he made after meeting President Buhari.

“It is indeed not the first time President Trump would be heard to lower the standards of respect for his colleagues on the World Stage. We are not surprised, we know that this age-long character of the US President would not change anytime soon. But it is important that we put it on record that President Buhari remains fit and sprightly, even for the next decade.

“We recall that during President Buhari’s visit to Trump in the White House, the US President commended the successes that the Buhari administration had recorded especially in the fight against insurgency and the war on corruption.

Mel B will be admitted into a UK-based therapy centre next month, to help her cope with alcohol and sex addiction, alongside a post-traumatic stress disorder.

A close friend who spoke about the sex addiction the 43-year-old former Spice Girls band member is hanging on, revealed how Mel B slept with up to three men in one day in the wake of her bitter divorce from Stephen Belafonte.

“I have made the decision to go into a proper therapy [program] in the next few weeks, but it has to be in the UK because I am very, very British and I know that will work best for me,” Mel B told The Sun in a statement on Sunday.

She also explained how she arrived at such a difficult decision following her divorce from Stephen Belafonte.

“The past six months have been incredibly difficult for me,” she told the publication. “I’ve been working with a writer on my book, Brutally Honest, and it has been unbelievably traumatic reliving an emotionally abusive relationship and confronting so many massive issues in my life.

“Sometimes it is too hard to cope with all the emotions I feel,” she added. “But the problem has never been about sex or alcohol-- it is underneath all that. I am fully aware I have been at a crisis point. No one knows myself better than I do -- but I am dealing with it.”

She later shared why she is deciding to speak out.

“I am still struggling but if I can shine a light on the issue of pain, PTSD and the things men and women do to mask it, I will do," she said. “I am speaking about this because this is a huge issue for so many people.”

Mel B shared these details, at almost the same time she shared a link to a website detailing an overview of PTSD (posttraumatic stress disorder). "Knowledge is power," she wrote alongside the link.

The Presidency has reacted to reports of President Buhari, reportedly using recovered loots to fund his re-election, while also using the anti-graft agencies to muzzle his political opponents.

Special Assistant to the President on Justice Sector Reform, Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu, who spoke on behalf of the Presidency on the recovered loots debunked the rumor, and further stated the President remained focused and would not allow any perception stop him from fighting corruption.

“How will he use the looted funds for his re-election? In this country, it is the Appropriation Act which appropriates what should happen to any money that comes into Nigeria or money generated by revenue agencies; that is very clear.

“You know that, now, we have the Treasury Single Account and any money that goes into the Federation Account cannot come out without what we call obligated money.

“The money would have been obligated possibly by a ministry because it has set a budget for what it wants to do and all those monies that are obligated, you cannot take them out without showing to the government or to the ministry or the permanent secretary where the money is going to.

“Let me say, every effort has been made by this government to ensure that there is a clear procedure through which government activity can be funded and that you cannot just wake up, take money from the TSA and walk away with it.

“The Federal Government just passed an executive council memo where it stated that every money spent by government that is above N5m must be published.

“So, the Accountant-General of the Federation now has an obligation to publish, so what we expect citizens can do within that framework is to begin to identify all those pieces of information and see if any of those funds will go into an election.”

TVC Presenter Tope Mark-Odigie, has given clarity on her controversial statement that men own women.

Tope in a post she shared on her social media handle this evening, said she does not in anyway support this idea where women are objectified and handed over as some property to men as our culture dictates. She says she hopes that the comments will help bring to the fore the need for this cultural mindset to be expunged.

Let me set the records straight.

My comments on the show depict the reality of our society, which I don’t agree with, but is our TRUTH.
It is our CULTURE, we don’t need to like it, but we must not play ostriches.

We must face it head on and address it.

As long we celebrate the buying of women (in the name of TRADITIONAL WEDDING) our men will feel entitled to do whatever pleases them with their possessions.

We must change this negative culture that has perpetually “OBJECTIFIED” women.

Culture has evolved over many generations.
We have continually expunged parts that do not serve us – like the killing of twins and albinos.

It is time to expunge seeing women as Properties .
It is time to expunge buying and selling of women.

Showing strength and courage, Sunmbo Adeoye went straight from the hospital to the pulpit after she had just lost a baby.


Wife of the senior pastor of the Fountain of Life church in Lagos, Nomthi Odukoya, took to her Instagram page to praise Sunmbo Adeoye who recently welcomed a son with her husband, David Adeoye, after 5 years of marriage.

According to Pastor Nomthi, Sunmbo went through many trials before she welcomed her son, David. Posting via her Instagram page, she wrote;

"If you and I ever get to talk about strong women, I would definitely mention @sunmboadeoye ‘s name. You don’t want to know how many expected due dates she received before David, that she didn’t get to see.

But she still kept her smile and kept on trusting God. One time she left from the hospital straight to the pulpit to preach in a conference without anyone knowing that she had just lost her baby. What about last year when she had to return back home alone from a trip where she went to have a baby and still moved on with her life.

I can’t count the number of times blogs reported she was pregnant after a loss because of the bloated tummy.
To God be the glory, David is here and she has victory over miscarriages.

She is a blessing to womanhood. God eventually came through for her. I just had to make out time to congratulate her. God will come through for you too in yoursituation?.

Three people were burnt to death and five others injured in an accident in Kogi States.

According to a report by the News Agency of Nigeria the unfortunate incident occurred on the Zariagi-Lokoja highway in Kogi States.

The Public Education Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Bisi Kazeem, who confirmed the development, said the incident occurred early on Thursday.

He explained that nine people and three vehicles–Toyota Carina, Scania Truck and Mack Tanker–were involved in the accident.

Kazeem said that one person escaped the accident unhurt, which he blamed on speeding.

“The deceased were burnt alongside the vehicles, while the injured were taken to the Federal Medical Centre in Lokoja.”

He said that an FRSC rescue team, which arrived at the scene after the accident had begun removing the wreckage from the road.

The Okene-Lokoja-Abuja highway is classified among the deadliest roads in Nigeria.

Gul Hamid, a tennis star who now lives with his second wife in a remote village near Wah Cantt, now sells his trophies to survive. Gul Hamid's first wife and children live in Karachi, whom he has to feed too. 

The 68-year-old tennis star who has been playing tennis for the last 50 years won three International Tennis Federation cups, which include an ITF hat-trick from 2008 to 2010, the 1986 Oman Open and three gold medals from Pakistan Navy, where he served as a petty officer.
He told Geo TV; 

“I took my cups to sell to Arif Sahib, at Pakistan Sports Board, as I had no choice.”

“I prefer death over insults at the hands of a landlord who knocks at my door asking for rent, which I have been managing through thick and thin until now,” he says.

“It was really an amazing day of my life when I beat Krishna Bhopatti of India in the Oman Open in 1986. It was a big victory amidst an international crowd of fifteen thousand,” he adds.

According to the tennis star, Bhopatti, whose son Mahesh Bhopatti is currently an international tennis star even asked him to travel to India and train tennis players there.

“I thanked Bhopatti for the offer and told him I need to train our children in Pakistan,” he says.

“I am 68 now, and it’s probably the time for me and my wife to sit on Mussala (praying mat) and not running around for a living,” he adds.

Gul Hamid said he told Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Prime Minister Imran Khan, to fix a reasonable monthly stipend for him or give him at least some low-grade job like a groundsman. He also recounted his golden days through plastic coated newspaper clippings and commendations spread on a charpoyee.

Shiva N’Zigou, a former Ligue 1 Gabonese footballer, has dropped a shocking confession on what he did to push his football career, which included sacrificing his mom.

The Gabonese footballer, who played for both Nantes and Reims in the French top flight between 2001 and 2010, confessed to lying about his age and also sleeping with his aunt and sister. Shiva N’Zigou disclosed that his father killed his mom in a ritual killing so he can keep all the money he earned from football to himself.

He went further to disclose he had a number of homosexual affairs, and incestuous relationships with both his aunt and his sister. The video released by Daily Star, sees him claiming that he is actually 39-years-old, five years older than the age mentioned in his birth certificates. Shiva stated that his parents changed the date of birth in his birth certificate.

 “I had sexual relations with my aunt,” he says.
“These relations happened again with my sister. I slept with my sister. I slept with a man. And I had another long-term relationship also with a man.”

Shiva N’Zigou played for multiple football clubs, including French FC Nantes, and rounded off his career in 2016. The player partook in 24 matches as part of the national Gabonese squad from 2000 to 2008, netting five goals.

He had previously been listed as the youngest player to score in the African Cup of Nations - after a goal for Gabon in a 3-1 loss to South Africa in 2000 - before it was revealed that he lied about his age.

This isn’t the first time a footballer has been linked with the extremely murky world of ritual killings. In 2014, former Rennes and Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan was forced to deny rumours he had been involved in the sacrificial murder of his friend, Ghanaian rapper Castro.

A statement released by the Gyan family attacked the media in Ghana for “wild allegations and rumours … ranging from the absurd – of the imputation of criminality to [Gyan] in the sense that he either murdered Castro or had him kidnapped – and ending with the ludicrous – that he sacrificed him spiritually to enhance his career.”
