Family › Re: Why Do Some People Maltreat Their Househelps? by StateOfMind: 4:28pm On May 14, 2012
vizion: I also know of a house-help that has a box of cloths but chose to where the same one every where, the madam of the house has threaten to burn the other clothes or take them back since the househelp don't what to wear them, but goes around making ppl feel he is being maltreated
We used to have a house help that did this. My siblings and I were in school, so my parents had to get a house help to stay at home with them and help with my mum's mini shop. Whenever we got bak from school, we gave this girl the clothes we've outgrown. The three of us oo, so u can imagine ow full her warddobe was (she had a room to herself). This girl only changes clothes twice, wears the tattered ones she brot from her village. We complained and complained and complained, then she finally told us one night that she was keeping the clothes so that wen she returns to her village, she'd have soemthing to wear. Well, we had to give her an option, wear dem or we seize the clothes and take them to the less privileged.

I can't stand a dirty maid, so we make them clean. Our maids don't go to school, but the stay in the shop, make their hair weekly, give them good clothes, take them out, eat whateva they like, in between meals and so on.

I believe You only get what you give, especially those that have small children. Treat your maids right and they will treat your children right.
I know some people maltreat their maids, wards..but not everbody does that.

@Op, I knew from the opening edition that kaita and mildred were dating. They both admitted dating for over a year and a half years. The one that said she has a bf is yadel.

Most of the ladies in the house are after-one oo.

Zainab had a son
Teclar has a daughter
Yadel has a 13year old daughter
Esperanca has a baby
Hilda has a son.

I'm sure that junia too has an issue somewhere. I can't stand that girl at all. All she does is to giggle. For now, I think my best couple is talia and tamara. Just love those girls. Talia is soo intelligent and articulate and tamara is very outspoken

As for upville, I usually don't switch to that house. I can't stand ALL the housemates excpt goldie (not cos she's nigerian though, cos I don't dig ola n chris). Lady May irritates me, dkb and prezzo have complex issues..ego clashing all over the place..phew! None of the 'upvillers' deserve to win IMO. I can't wait to have more downvillers troop in, make dem put them in their place..VIPs my foot!!

I agree with your last paragraph,a good percentage of the guys n chics in there are hawt. For the chics, those that are not so cute facially have their large butts n bossoms to cover up for them. zainab has a banging body with clothes on, but wvout the clothes on ...hmnnn, I won't talk.

I think manetta had the highest votes (eight) cos of her cute face and body..she's very pretty..I call her nicki, cos of the full bangs she made during the 'commercials'
I used to be a great fan of hers until I saw her reaction to other housemates wen she was first evicted. I don't think she has a heart as beautiful as her face. She dint even look back or feel bad about her sister.

I'm surprised they dint leave as a couple cos of bigbrother's insistence on seydu leaving too wen esperanca opted fr a voluntary exit..if three people keep leaving every sunday, 'm not sure they'd have ppl to last d 91days. I expect more n more twists though.

Ps--tanx for this thread Op, I've been waiting so long for it cos I enjoyed last year's BBA thread even though I wasnt a poster, just a follower.

yuzedo: Btw, that Toke Makinwa and the other obscure-azz, dunderhead modafocker are the worst presenters in life! They should be sacked and sent to Yobe to fight Boko Haram! Dry jokes, forced accents, corny-azz displays. . Utterly pathetic I tellya! Silverbird is a joke for that faux pas!
Thought I was the only one that noticed that the duo are the worst presenters ever! And that toke of a girl 'damed' all through the night too!! Mscheeeewwww!

bukatyne: @OP: CC and exponential has said it al. @guys: wat do u bring to ur relationships apart from money n sex? i m not sayin u guys re not tryin but there is more to relationship than sex and money. perhaps if u guys bring more or don't always want to use money n sex to prove urself/urlove, ur gals wouldn't be so demanding. @gals: pls let respect ourselves n STOP been materialistic! let us learn to be content and live according to our means! i can't understand y a gal ll ask her guy for bb, designer bags/shoes/clothes, brazilian weaves, costly make ups etc because they re unfortunate enough to date us! longing for wat u can't afford on ur own is really been greedy n been a golddigger. please, let both men n women go back to d table n reevaluate wat a relationship is al about n we wouldn't have such threads as this! stay blessed!
You really think the guys screaming their heads off here would stop being the mugus that they are? What I keep asking everytime issues like this come up is "do these girls force you to spend on them"? Instead of them to move-on on their 1st encounter with a 'materialistic' chic, their 3rd leg and ego won't let the back off. They 'll want to prove they are capable and can bed any 'high-class' chic. A good number of the don't even have anything to offer apart from their 'change'. . .. and when they are drained of this little 'change', they come on nl to rant and generalize, then they go back to repeat the same mistake.

The day guys stop spending unnecessarily on these so called demanding girls for few moments of mutual pleasure, the better for both sexes.

This is no exaggeration at all, I had goose pimples reading this story, especially part 6 cos this is where I stopped reading to reply. I'm looking forward to reading the other parts cos I'm certain it ended well.

O.M.G! I'm so sorry Op, I had no idea it was goin to end this way. May God strengthen your family. How's your wife holding up?

slimyem: the guy just keeps going round and round in a stu-pid circle!
Why dont ever they leave when they find out the woman is 'fake' so to speak?
Why can't they stick to the 'original' girls?
Why does the 'fake' ones keep calling out to them?
Mtcheeeeeeeeeew
I hate arguing this shyt!
The irony of it all is that majority of men are attracted to the 'fake' ones. Who would approach a lady keeping it real with her saggy b.reasts? Even the so called natural hair requires artificial stuffs for maintenance. I believe moderation is the key, cos no1 can be 100% natural.

Above all, there's more to the female gender than physical looks, so physical appearance isn't a determinant for being real.
Family › Re: I Am Not Yet Ready For Motherhood. (how Can I Make Him Understand?) by StateOfMind: 10:11am On Apr 20, 2012
CNN80: The original reason to get married is NOT to have children. Children are a blessing unto a marriage NOT the reason for a marriage. If one gets married solely to have kids, then you might as well pick a complete stranger of the street and marry her so that she can become a brood mare for you. While there is no perfect time to have children, there is an optimum time to have them. Any person that wants the best for their child knows this. A woman who is relaxed and secure in herself and situation is better equipped to be a mother than one who has extra responsibilities on hand.

When a male friend of mine got married, I told him (too late I'm afraid)that he should not get his wife pregnant as she was entering her last year of studying law in a different state. I considered what she was going through and concluded that being pregnant would be a hardship. I am a very logical person ( which vexes my husband but he always invariably agrees with me) and I don't let sentiment come into important decisions. Well, my friend's wife got pregnant after their trad as they were arranging for the church wedding. She miscarried, had an extra year and still had to wait another year before she could go to law school because she took in again not long after the miscarriage. All because of poor planning. The family is happy now but even they know that things could have been vastly different. I grew in the East so don't tell me this is Western influence. I was just lucky to be born into a family where early marriage is strongly discouraged because of the effect that it has had on some of my family members.

And I strongly discourage divorce and believe that all avenues should be explored before it should become an option. How many men here know how to change a diaper, feed a baby, stay awake the whole night because your baby is teething or has colic? How many men know how to bathe a baby, dress a baby, recognize the different kinds of cries a baby has? How many men have the patience to watch the same nursery rhymes video over and over again for hours on end because that is the only thing your baby will watch? Do you think that once we get pregnant that God Almighty just inputs all that in us and it becomes automatic? That's why I believe that newly married Nigerian couples should spend the first few years of the marriage in another country. When your mothers, aunties, cousins, inlaws, female friends etc. are not there to pitch in and help out, you will understand that having a child is not yam. You will also understand why oyibo practice serious family planning.

Children are a beautiful and wonderful gift. Don't have them if you're not ready. You could ruin your life and theirs. We see this in the world all the time and yet we willy nilly still have them without thinking and planning properly. Anyi abughi nkita.
I like every bit of your post!

Zediccus: . Here we go again, just incase you missed the part 1 of the movie. @op Jokes apart, compose the story better and change the topic to something like 'guys try not to marry a LovePeddler' and u may regain some level of respect. (Plus, no capital letters, pls.)
Lmao. I dislike reading posts with capital letters, but bolded capital letters?? Worrahell!!!!
