The guys at OKC do not have a functioning brain on their head Durant fouled out in the game, so there's your consolation. |

DeeMain: Guy, watch that video again. He is a very good player, loyal and gives his all with intensity but...
If OKC wins this game it's game over in the series. Final seconds, game is tied and twice you have a chance to win or tie the game and twice Westbrook is given the responsibility and he bricks. Meanwhile you have a cold blooded assassin in your team, the second best player in the league in the person of KD in your midst.
To me that's hogwash.
OKC should have been KD's team and Westbrook his 2nd. It should have been made clear. Management got it wrong. And by the way, did you hear when the commentator said "Durant has fouled out" ? |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 10:24am On Feb 13, 2020 |
lordbeans: As against a four times scoring champion in Kevin Durant , who by the way has significantly higher field goal percentages in both two points and 3 points and a significantly better free throw shooter. Tell me why anyone who has a functioning head on his or her shoulders would prefer Westbrook closing than Durant?. It is incomprehensibly inane. No one here says he prefers one to the other. I said they both have earned the right to close. |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:15am On Feb 13, 2020 |
donlittle25: it's the truth tho. I love Westbrook, but oon a team with KD, he should never be the closer. Never That's a two time scoring champion you're underestimating. Russ closes sometimes, KD closes sometimes. They're both elite players. |

On a side note, did anyone see the Philly game last night? Playoff P showed up big time with 3FGM in 15FGA, plus I am beginning to believe that not getting Mook could turn out to be a blessing in disguise for the Lakers.
Tell me I’m dreaming, but did I just watch Zion dominate Whiteside in the paint I didn't see the game, but I'm believing that that Mook-PG-Kawhi partnership is bullocks unless Mook comes of the bench. I mean, bringing Morris into the starting lineup pushes PG into the SG position, making him to take (and miss) even more three pointers. They need to sort themselves out...the later the better for us. |

steady986: It's funny how some Lakers fans saw Collison as the saviour, as someone who would really push the Lakers in the championship race. Lol. If you asked me to choose between Rondo and Collison I'd take Rondo any day. He's by far the second best playmaker on our team.
And I really don't know what's happening with Bradley but the guy has been shooting better in the last couple of games. His 3 ball in the last 6 games look like this: 1-2, 2-3, 5-9, 2-5, 3-4, 5-7. That's after going 0-9 in the previous 4 games. Long may it continue. Add 3-4 for Bradley in today's game |
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:06pm On Feb 10, 2020 |
xwolverine: To be really honest, I still think we could've used Collison at this time, he's that good. In fact, any PG is a welcome option at this point in time, that's how awful Rondo has been since the beginning of the season. His mediocre performance is impacting on the bench as well, especially Kuz.
Kuzma is struggling because he's playing more minutes with Rondo and by the time he plays with the first unit, he's not in rhythm and exhausted.
Collison was the answer to the lack of creativity when Lebron is not on the court, which will be badly needed in a typical 7 game series. LeBron is the best playmaker in the league. Perhaps asking Rondo to replicate that level of creativity is a little harsh. Rondo will always be Rondo. And we can't really say he has hindered Kuzma so far. Kuzma can create his own shot. He's a pretty reliable ball handler, so if Rondo ain't passing then go get your own shot. And let's be honest, Collison has never been a prolific playmaker. Stats tell me he's on 5 assists/game for his career, compared to Rondo's 8.3. Rondo might be having a bad spell, but we know the guy can create. |

xwolverine: you still haven’t answered the question about why you’re not talking about YOUR team?
You must be really pissed off, for you to be crying nonstop about the Lakers. All we hear from your mouth is about the Lakers, I just advised you to focus on your mediocre team, and stop worrying about the Lakers and LeBron like your life depends on it. A trade was made, end of story. The level of obsession is becoming a cause for concern.
Who is salty between you and me? I don’t care about your team, you are the one worrying about mine. I don’t talk about your players, you’re the one ranting about mine. I don’t care about Morris, it doesn’t matter, we’ve moved on, you should too.
Read the paragraph above one more time, read it slowly this time around and tell me if your obsession makes any sense whatsoever.
You are the one projecting your insecurities on us. You’re the one crying online, writing essays about another person’s team, if your concern is truly about the NBA, there are 29 other teams. Worry about your sorry ass team, not mine.
When did I say that we didn’t need him? Your saltiness has led to hallucinations
Don’t worry you can drown your sorrows in booze.
Cool story bruv, I agree with you
I can see that you’re taking this too seriously while it’s not that deep bruv.
You’re right, the Clippers will win the chip this year and the title for the next 10 years.
Happy now? You can now go play with your toys. You didn't know? His team is anybody that will stop LeBron |

xwolverine: Wondering why you’re not Facing YOUR team bros, the last time I checked, you weren’t a clipper fan. On the flip side I’m talking about a situation that directly concerns my team and the direct impact of the trades on my team.
Why are you crying more than the bereaved? Face your team and I’ll face mine, simples.
We tried to recruit him, but he opted to go elsewhere, no big deal. No harm no foul compared to the team in the basement making trades purely out of fear. Why is it such a coincidence that they always manage to go after the same set of people that the Lakers have been linked to? Jerry west, Tye Lou, Kawhi, Marcus Morris, Iggy, Daren Collison. If it was a one off, then it’s not out of place to call it a mere coincidence but geez, it must really suck to be the jealous little brother.
I’m actually having fun replying to your hate laced comments, cos no matter what stacking up happens, nothing is set in stone. We managed to scramble together players after Kawhi left us high and dry and we’re still leading the western conference.
In the end everyone will be alright. At the end of the day they look back and say 'damn, did we really need all these guys?' |

Why would he join a team with Rich Paul's clientele everywhere Looking at what they took from the Clippers for him, I'd say they did it intentionally. It won't matter when we win the championship though. |
