Sir Gazzuzz is actually very easy to hate so I'm not surprised by all this bullets coming his way. My little experience with him actually thought me a lot.

If you're not 100% liberal, you will hate gazzuzz.
If you're too emotional, you'd feel like shooting him.

After fixing two cars from him worth hundreds of thousand naira, he rejected my third one though he later agreed to work on it. I was angry, how could he? But I thought again, why am I feeling so entitled? This man doesn't owe me shit. Besides, the car in question can be quite tricky, he probably doesn't want any wahala if something goes wrong. He's more about his reputation than what I was going to pay.

The way this man says NO and stands his ground ehn, it's amazing and annoying at the same time.

But guess what? Of all the motivational, lifestyle and business books I've read they all seem to be describing gazzuzz. Those books came to life when I interacted with him. Since then I've been making conscious effort to build my ability to put myself first and say no when I have to cos I know I'm far too kind.

Abi how do you explain how no one has ever accused him of any illegal or shady dealings in his business? They only say he is rude which also say a lot about the accusers. You didn't pay someone for a service and you're angry he didn't deliver it well, that is the worst kind of entitlement. If he was rude the first time, do you stop to think this mechanic man could be stressed or busy right now and give him a second or third chance considering the fact that he has not collected a dime from you?

Even though I never asked for any favor from him, he gave me one out of the blue. One of my cars was down completely, I told him and he asked me to bring it. He fixed it and asked me to pay whenever I have money. This man doesn't even know which area of lagos I reside talkless of knowing my house address.

Now I wouldn't take a bullet for him as I'm still a young man and I need all the connect I can gather even if they are the enemies of my friend, but I will always admit gazzuzz is a good man.

NB: For those who never met him, this man should be in his mid or late fourties if not 50 sef. Life experience probably thought him to always put himself first. He is also old enough to be an uncle to some of us here, including dru. Let's put some respek on his name/age.

Yes you are very correct.. . And it is not easy to come up with the money to buy cars either.. So I try to be reasonable with the drivers... I put my cars all in order for them and I ask for 30k weekly.. Any drivers that tells you he can deliver 35k is lying o . My drivers don't worry about oil change and maintenance and stuff like that.. So this is how I meet them half way ...
So last last you give in to 30k weekly. Cheers to the good old days

lol I feel for the drivers, the work no easy Sha,. But asking for 25k weekly rental from someone who spent over a million 2 purchase a car, is that not criminality?
The fact that we are even having this 25k discussion is a bad enough omen.

ok have been a silent reader since signing up ealier this year on this thread, I'm curious to ask some noticabe questions.

How come Gazzuzz with all that automobil knowledge is so full of pride and some selected few kiss his a zz? (diportivo, thebigkendo, thecar, kingreign and some others to name a few)

How come only a man with the moniker dru23 is always the same person capable of putting Gazzuzz in his place along with Gazzuzz disciples?

Only 3 moniker i know here stood up to Gazzuzz, Eyinne, Dru23 and Damilolar but Damilolar ends up bowing to him, Eyinne threaten him and left the thread probably gave up on the ehailing business and Dru23 just have a way of working him.

Why is with Dru23 and the memes?

The difference between Dru23 and Gazzuzz is, Dru is more optimistic with life and Gazzuzz is just down to reality. Dru loves Ehailing and sees it as fun not even business and Gazzuzz loves to trade more and get that quick profit then move to the next deal. So it's like there is a disconnect when the former (a long term investor) meets with the later (a short term quick profit investor).

Why does Dru23 always speak for drivers or quick to condemn them when he hasn't been on the road to experience what drivers pass through?

The guy with the moniker Franksam use to talk like Dru until he started driving and his orientation about drivers changed.

Speaking of Franksam2009, why does Franksam and his partner in crime eherbal connive to bully one foul mouth guy who always insults when he gets his point across, funny enough the guy always makes a point but he curses too much, i think his moniker starts with B or so.

Why do other drivers feel the need to bully Jesusson and I trust Jesusson to always have all answers to whatever question thrown at him lol.

I love this thread, Always makes me crack up. I think Dru is the only motivational speaker on thread but he talks too much, If you rely on Gazzuzz and some other few naysayers, the fence gang, sorry is your name, Same people who condemns the job, wakes up in the morning to still row thier boat. And the funny thing, Gazzuzz condemns ehailing and go to his job leaving you stuck in some mixed up sentimental emotions towards your job lol

we all know the Nigeria terrain is bad for business, Nigeria hasn't been good, it's never rosy anywhere due to the nature of capitalism, Government negligence towards the ehailing sector makes it worse, who cares when the app company are paying thier taxes, that's what the government is after not the welfare of the citizens.
You are far from New on the thread sir. Of all those monikers you mentioned, I'm only familiar with gazzuzz and dru. The rest I can't even remember what they post or who they agree and disagree with. And I don tay for the thread.
You na O.G. for this thread sir

I never considered 07 elantra upwards and Corrolla 07 upwards as luxury cars .. Those cars are like company cars that look very presentable for offline trip .. That is why at the time I started with 07 cars ,when uber requirement was from 05.
I'm not talking corolla and elantra. You used to agree on this forum that luxury cars will attract more offline trips.

And how often is that bros, excuse me how constant is it week . I known last year I got few offers like that.. A guy was coming from Yankee, so I gave him my car on a lease for 30k a week or so. But that is not even the point, the point is how often can it be to really turn a profit .. ..if it is profitable I am willing to start bringing in 2013 cars even Range Rover self now ,now, now..
While I was at it, I get called at least once a month. I was even making more on uber in a week then so i wasnt always looking forward to their call. But i often use the time to rest and recharge. One had my car for good three months from December 2017 through February 2018 at 45k/week. You can do the calculation yourself.

My point is, not everybody wants to drive 12hours a day before making 10k profit. If I do three trips a week in my luxury car and net 30k at the end of the week, I'm good. Its not going to be a full time job. You've never driven a day on uber, you don't know the whole story.

Besides, if the model doesn't work there is absolutely nothing to lose. Simply sell your barely used luxury car and invest in something else.

It's different doesn't mean its stupid.

Didn't uber have uber x or something like that. Coz I remember when uber first came ..I believe uber x was their luxury division.. I recall people using suv ,big big luxury cars like they did in Yankee.. I can recall very well, well .. But uber eventually scrap that part.. Due to very low patronage o ..2010 cars now be beans o. Nigerian riders just want to get from Point A to B in a / c with comfort than the regular cab o.. If you to say there is a demand via app for luxury cars and uber did it and didnt work ..we talking about about a multi national company with a well known brand all over the world.. Think am bros ,make u no lead this investors / sheep to the slaughter house ... think am o ..either way I wish you the best ...
But you used to agree that big/luxury cars will attract a lot of offline trips nah. What has changed?

GAZZUZZ:
There are riders who are tired of the 2005 Corolla's and want to turn up in 2019 prado's. I will meet that need. instead of running with the crowd, identify a target audience, and meet a need.

Invest smart. There are greater rewards.
Funny thing is the guy I was renting my car to begged and convince me to let him have my car. I picked him in my three months old very clean white 2007 camry SE. I was scared as he was a total stranger that I picked on uber. We familiarized for a whole week. Inviting me to all sorts of event in VI and his house. I drafted an agreement form, had my girlfriend(now wife) secretely record our convo, took pictures with him and his guarantor, even collected 100k upfront as guarantee against damages. This is the guy that introduced me to his friends abroad and they would always call me up when they are around. I take the car to them at the airport most times. They've not called me in about four months now, they probably are not back in the country or found an even more luxury car to hire.

If you think these set of guys are the only ones that need this service, you must be a slowpoke.

You are obviously alone in your illusions. I've had gazzuzz's proposed model going for me for three years already. I have a group of guys that used to take my car for 45k/week whenever they are in the country. Sometimes they are in the country at the same time and I had to source for good cars for them.
If you think transport business starts and end with uber, good for you.

I am designing an offline app for LUXURY vehicles above 2010, I will employ smart drivers and link riders who are interested in quality rides.

Only 4 riders shock me and we pick conversation from there, cos I somewhat have this belive i don't pick same interest in music with most of the riders, so I just put it in FM. But dis days I was playing Family Portrait by Pink, Adam & Eve by Nas, Lauryn Hill - Tell Him and they were rocking it line 4 line. 2 of dem get to destination and delayed alighting, 1 even chatting me for extra 10 mins, inside my mind.. I was like if only u know say nah work I deh grin
Very true. My playlist has earned me so much tips ehn. Especially from early morning peeps going to work.
A rider was once playing Jay-Z's Holy Grail album from his aux and we were both jamming every line. Nigga was shook.

Your thought o.
My thought is if a high rate of drivers boycott their app and they experience a great decline in revenue, they will or may (sef) come back to their senses
We've argued boycott and strikes so many times, but I guess drivers have to wait till they are pushed to the wall. I laugh!

@dru maybe if this new taxify policy starts affecting your drivers' weekly delivery, you would also see sense in drivers striking for some hours or days to demand better conditions.

Someone hit me too last year, he showed me his id card and gave me his number then promised to reimburse me any amount I use to fix it. I agreed to go because he hit 3 cars and mine was the least damaged. Then he went from empty promises to blocking my number once and for all. I have the picture of his car capturing his plate number, and the picture of the damage on my car. Like how much did our friends (police) collect to help track him down?
For a start I paid 5k, they claimed it's for them to get the man's info from the vehicle registration unit. Then the man paid 60k after he was apprehended, I took 40, gave them 20.

Its a pity she met a cool headed person like you@Gentlelife50. Personally am not a very patient person when it comes to issues as this. The moment I discover that you are an oversabi person I will just politely shut you up and stick to uber app route should incase an issue comes up later and not even google map route cos they both suggests different routes and google is better. How will I drive all the way from Oshodi to Ebute metta and you will alight from my vehicle without paying me just like that! Well, like Aaron Neville will say, everybody plays the fool. Even if the trip is on uber at least you have to demand for your money its ur right. The fear of low rating has really dealt with boiz and has condemned them to not to talk again grin. For ur info that woman is a rogue and she has been doing that to several drivers and getting away with it and u arent the first. Some day she will meet a driver that will deal with her. How much was the actual app displayed fare?
This is exactly why I have two uber accounts. I don't care about rating or being blocked. How can a sane human being enjoy a service and not pay?
I can be very blunt with riders. See another one asking driver to come down and wash his tyres. Lol
Its a miracle I still have my two accounts intact.

This why I encourage people to dump corolla and go for cars like a civic.. This same people that are buying corolla tokunbo up and down ,can easily switch to civic with a low or much lower landing cost.. I just don't want to spill out my secrets ,if only people can hear word,,, ditch the corolla, ditch the elantra.. But nope. How do they expect to recoup their money fast.. My plan down the line is to get enough cars ,good cars . And than reduce my weekly rental.. In the hopes that I will be able to attract good drivers .. For now my maintenance is low ,due to the fact that I do all my maintenance oil change, tires, mechanical stuff all myself.. All my drivers knows my mechanic, so if stuff breaks down they go to the mechanic directly .. But I think outside the box .. Either way it was nice chatting with you.. And may God bless all of our hustle
This is exactly what I told someone today, with six corolla on uber, all Tokunbo at an average of 1.7m

I told her to consider your civic, it actually makes more business sense.

Stay blessed.

Yes I saw it .. But those drivers / partners are smoking the strongest weed available.. Uber will never agree to that whole benefits stuff health insurance etc .. It cost money to do all that.. I don't see that happening at all .. But I wish them the best of luck... the only thing uber can try and do is increase the fare for them, so that more goes to the driver . That is the least they can do . But again that whole health insurance package ,sick time etc. I don't see that happening what's so ever.. It cost money for that
I agree, except freelancing or contract staffing is illegal in America, I don't see them winning as well.

My point is we can demand a lil better than what we are getting here only if we can make some sacrifices. Even if na 6 hours strike once in two weeks.I don't understand why y'all see that as a bad idea. These American uber drivers have been in court for 6 bleeping years. They didn't just shut up or QUIT.
