Christianity Etc › Re: Anybody Wishing And Hoping The World Will End Is Selfish And Wicked by Steep(m): 8:31am On Sep 16, 2024
Kvarachi:
Good evening good people of this great house,
It's your commercial bus driver again.
Now let me go into the meat of the topic:
Without mincing words and without caring whose ox is gored, I'm saying this with my full chest and I don't care what you may say to me.
.
Anybody who bcus of one religion or the other thinks this world will end one day is not only deceiving he or herself but also selfish and wicked.
How can you be born and raised from the cradle to adulthood and even to old age and you come out to tell people that the world will soon end. After enjoying many things as a child to your adulthood and maybe still enjoying and you now thinks or wants the world to end.
So the children born today won't grow too just like you did abi? You don't want them to enjoy what you enjoyed abi? You don't want them to give birth to their own babies and see their grandchildren too abi?
.
So now tell me, if today's children will grow and have their own children and childrens children, how is the world going to end?
Don't you think the circle continues.
If your direct parents or grand parents or great grand parents or great great grand parents had wished for that and it happens, will you have been born today?
How selfish and wicked can you be to the new generations for saying the world will end one day.
.
My final submission, it's inevitable that each and everyone of us reading this will surely die one day or someday. I want to assure you all, the day that happens is the day that particular persons worlds came to an end not everybody's world.
The only thing requires from us while on earth is to do good and great things so that your name will be remembered in the sands of time.
.
I rest my case!
This is ignorance even scientific evidence says the universe would end but it would take an incredible amount of time that is because the energy the universe is using is running out. It is like a man using generator and expecting the fuel inside to last forever where is the sense in that? So somebody that tells you the fuel would finish becomes his enemy and given manner of names, that is what people like you are doing yet claim to be smart just like atheists here thinking the universe has no beginning or end even when scientific evidence says otherwise.

I never claimed that all religions worship the same God. What I specifically stated is that Muslims, Christians, and Jews worship the same God.
While you may disagree with this, the reality is that these three faiths all call upon the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Moses.
These religious traditions share a common foundation in their belief in the one God who revealed Himself through these figures central to their faiths.
Jesus is the central figure of Christianity not Abraham. The reality is the Islamic God and Christian God are not the same.

While the three religions differ in their theology and practices, they share a belief in the same God as the God of Abraham. The distinction arises more in how they understand God's nature and relationship with humanity.
It seems you don't know the meaning of theology. The analogy I gave to you, already answered you.

You're overlooking the fact that, despite the various interpretations and attributes different individuals may assign to God, the God worshipped by Abraham, Isaac, and Moses remains the same. The core identity and essence of this deity do not change based on personal perspectives or differing beliefs.

Whether you describe him as having a wife, a son, or a mother, or whether you refer to him as embodying the 3 in 1 or being 1 in 3, the essential truth remains unchanged. He is still the God worshipped by Abraham, Isaac, and Moses. This is the same God whom Jews, Christians, and Muslims call upon. Despite the different ways of understanding or describing him, his fundamental nature remains consistent.
Satanists believe the devil is the one true God so based on your interpretation your God and that of Satanist are the same just different interpretations.
If I ask you what are the core identity of God you may not be able to answer.

You are bring in more lies! The Yorubas and Arabs do not have such believes!
It is simply for respect!

A kid will use "They" for one elder as used for many persons in Yoruba! No ancestor is involved!
Yes, in Yoruba culture and religion, it is believed that the ancestors (known as **Egungun**) and the gods or deities (known as **Orishas**) play significant roles in guiding the living, especially in decision-making.

The ancestors, who are revered and honored through rituals, are thought to continue to have a presence in the lives of their descendants. They are believed to provide protection, guidance, and blessings, and are often consulted during important family or community decisions.

The Orishas, on the other hand, are powerful deities representing various aspects of nature and life (such as Ogun for war and iron, or Sango for thunder and lightning). They act as intermediaries between the Supreme Being (**Olodumare**) and humans. In many cases, decisions are made after consulting these deities, often through divination practices like **Ifá**.

Both the ancestors and the Orishas are believed to work together, influencing the course of events and ensuring harmony between the spiritual and physical worlds.

Yes, the use of the "Royal We" when greeting elders in Yoruba culture reflects deep respect and reverence, rooted in the belief that elders are connected to both the living and the spiritual realms, including ancestors and the gods. The Yoruba people believe that elders carry the wisdom and experience of those who came before them, and their guidance is seen as divinely inspired.

In Yoruba language and culture, plural pronouns and honorifics are used when addressing elders to show respect, acknowledging not only the individual but also their connection to the family lineage, ancestors, and the community. This form of address reinforces the idea that elders are embodiments of ancestral knowledge and have a special role in maintaining spiritual and social order.

In essence, by using the "Royal We," younger people are recognizing the authority, spiritual significance, and the collective wisdom of their elders, which is believed to be influenced by both the gods (Orishas) and ancestors (Egungun).

exactly they can't see the irony. How can a god claims absolute oneness, yet prefers using "we" to describe himself simply it is more honorable. That is allah is not honorable enough so he had to copy human behaviour of making himself seem more than one person to gain more respect.

Imagine using English to explain Arabic when both languages do not have any cultural nor historical ties or interaction. In Europe of the Middle Ages, the King was synonymous to the state. That's why Louis XIV famously said "L'etat moi" interpreted as "I am the state".
What most of them do not know is that majority of pre-Islamic Arab civilisation was wiped of by the Islamists in their quest to conquer Arabia for themselves. The kings in pre-Islamic Arab was not hereditary as we have now. It was more of an Eldership position. Thus the rulers were mostly old and aged people. So it is very possible they used respectable language for them based on their age and not necessarily because they were royalty.

There is no known language where an individual representing himself alone will use "We" to refer to himself. Your reference to English is totally out of point as I already proved. A sovereign is an embodiment of the state. Anything a sovereign does is as if the state does it. That's why a sovereign can send his country to war and the whole country weay "We are at war" not "The King (or President) is at war

I respectfully disagree, but I'll leave the discussion afterwards.

The use of "We" in the Qur'an is a way to show respect and majesty, not to suggest that Allah is more than one. It's like when a king or queen says "we" to show authority, but they are still just one person. In Islam, Allah is one, and using "We" emphasizes His greatness, not plurality.
Go an research the etymology of royal we or why they use it.
Allah is one what? Do you know that the word "one" as used in Arabic is "ahad" guess what ahad means unity of many things.

Hahaha Allah don enter problem, so the use of a plural "we" is more authoritative than singular "I", I don't disagree with it, but I am telling why it is considered so.

You're still overlooking the fact that an individual can use "we" to convey their own perspective or personal opinions. This use of "we" can reflect a singular person's viewpoint or stance, rather than representing a collective group.
see ignorance. An individual does not use "we" for personal viewpoint rather as a monarch. Monarch are considered the embodiment of their kingdom or divine authority to rule their people. Hence when they speak their words are regarded as the collective decision of everyone in the kingdom.
An autocratic can also use it, because he speaks on behalf of every one and it is binding on all.

Now lets break down the bible. I'll show you verses where your god condones all sorts of crimes.

Slavery
Leviticus 25:44-46
New International Version
44 “‘Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. 45 You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property. 46 You can bequeath them to your children as inherited property and can make them slaves for life, but you must not rule over your fellow Israelites ruthlessly.
Lev. 24:44-46 says you can purchase foreign slaves and their children, and treat them as your property, and pass them to your children as an inheritance.
same old debunked rhetorics.
First Israel was prohibited from kidnapping and taking people as slaves.
Slaves were people who willingly sold themselves into slavery, or people whom their parents sold into slavery due to disobedience, and slaves were more of workers, they were to work for their masters while in return he takes care of them. The slaves become the masters property meaning he is responsible for them.

Exodus 21:20-21 says a Hebrew can beat a slave as much as he wants, as long as they survive for at least two days, "for the slave is his property".
If the servant die due injury the master shall be put to death, so he had keep spending money to treat him hence wasting his money.

Exodus 21:7-11 says a daughter who is sold into slavery is not to be set free, but the master can sell her if she doesn't please him.
That is a lie, on the contrary the female servant would be redeem and should not be resold.

In the New Testament, Paul says "Slaves, obey your masters with respect and fear" (Eph. 6:5)

Slaves must accept their position with humility (Eph. 6:5-cool

Slaves must please their master "in everything" (Titus 2:9, Colossians 3:22)
It is for the protection of the slave because in Rome the penalty for a disobedience slave is death but however Paul laid the ground work for their freedom.
He told Philmont to recieve a run away slave not just as a freeman but as a brother.

Philemon 1:15 For perhaps he therefore departed for a season, that thou shouldest receive him for ever; 1:16 Not now as a servant, but above a servant, a brother beloved, specially to me, but how much more unto thee, both in the flesh, and in the Lord?

If your master is a Christian, you should work even harder to serve him so that you show respect to God. (1 Tim. 6:1-2).

Thousands of years later through Christianity slavery was abolished.

No where does the Bible explicitly speak out against slavery. No where does the Bible say "Thou shalt not own another person as property."
because that wold not change people's heart only after christ came he brought grace and transformed the heart those who recieve him.

To say that other cultures practiced slavery so God allowed it is to argue for moral and cultural relativism. God gave the Hebrews moral and cultural laws to seperate them from other nations. Any person separated from his family and sold on the auction block probably wished God had clearly condemned it.
Laws of Rape (Deuteronomy 22:28-29 NAB)
First of all forced slavery was abolished in the old testament, laws to make the Israelities have a better human relationship was passed however laws do not change people's heart. The true human change came when Jesus was revealed.

Rape

If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father. Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

What kind of lunatic would make a rape victim marry her attacker? Answer: God.
There was no word forced in the Hebrew text. It wasn't rape but consexual sex but because the girl's bride price was not paid it can be said that the man grabbed her without paying her bride price and again the word used is not same word as rape.

Death to the Rape Victim (Deuteronomy 22:23-24 NAB)
That is a lie, it is not rape. She and the man were found to be having sex outside of marriage both were to be killed.

If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.
did you see where it was stipulated within the city were she could easily cry for help. This is not rape but contextual sex.

It is clear that God doesn’t give a damn about the rape victim. He is only concerned about the violation of another mans “property”.
That is a lie, those were not rape victims.

Murder (Numbers 31:7-18 NLT)
They attacked Midian just as the LORD had commanded Moses, and they killed all the men. All five of the Midianite kings – Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba – died in the battle. They also killed Balaam son of Beor with the sword. Then the Israelite army captured the Midianite women and children and seized their cattle and flocks and all their wealth as plunder. They burned all the towns and villages where the Midianites had lived. After they had gathered the plunder and captives, both people and animals, they brought them all to Moses and Eleazar the priest, and to the whole community of Israel, which was camped on the plains of Moab beside the Jordan River, across from Jericho.

Moses, Eleazar the priest, and all the leaders of the people went to meet them outside the camp. But Moses was furious with all the military commanders who had returned from the battle. “Why have you let all the women live?” he demanded. “These are the very ones who followed Balaam’s advice and caused the people of Israel to rebel against the LORD at Mount Peor. They are the ones who caused the plague to strike the LORD’s people. Now kill all the boys and all the women who have slept with a man. Only the young girls who are virgins may live; you may keep them for yourselves.

Clearly Moses and God approves of rape of virgins.
There is no where it indicates they were raped. Kept for yourselves means they could marry them, and Israel do not practice forced marriage.

Deuteronomy 21:11 And seest among the captives a beautiful woman, and hast a desire unto her, that thou wouldest have her to thy wife;

21:12 Then thou shalt bring her home to thine house; and she shall shave her head, and pare her nails;

21:13 And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her father and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife " removing the garment of her captivity indicate she should be treated as a free woman.

Murder, rape, and pillage at Jabesh-gilead (Judges 21:10-24 NLT)
which were duly punished, God did not condole such acts. The bible records human sinful acts in other to learn lesson and desist from it.

So they sent twelve thousand warriors to Jabesh-gilead with orders to kill everyone there, including women and children. “This is what you are to do,” they said. “Completely destroy all the males and every woman who is not a virgin.” Among the residents of Jabesh-gilead they found four hundred young virgins who had never slept with a man, and they brought them to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan.

Genocide:
Deut 20:16-17 has God ordering the Hebrews to commit 6 complete and total genocides.

1 Sam 15:3 has God explicitly ordering another complete and total genocide including killing infants.
God orders the anhilation of certain nations because they also did so to others and slo the dangers their exist would be for the future of the world. Those nations were carnivores and they offered babies and children for human sacrifice. And only few nations inhl history, Israel never went around wiping out others.

Rape:
Deut 22:28-29 lays out the means by which a man may rape a virgin, pay off her father, and marry her. Nothing says that she has the right to say no.

Do you want more verses?
That is a lie, again those were no forced sex but consensual ones.

This your explanation of the Trinity has several limitations: it ambiguously defines "self-awareness,"
I don't need to write hundreds of pages to define personhood. In the most important description of personhood is ability to self recognize, and also possess cognitive abilities.

oversimplifies God's nature as "one what and three who's," and compares divine personhood to human experience.
There is no oversimplification there human personhood is a reflection of a greater personhood which is that of God hence man is made in God's image. Why does Allah need men to be his slaves, it means allah is dependent on his creation.

It implies dependency for love, narrows truth to two persons, and lacks scriptural support. Also, it risks misinterpreting the Trinity as hierarchical rather than emphasizing co-equality and co-eternity among the three persons.
Where did you get "dependency on love" ? Rather love, just as truth are divine attributes, it is self evident that love need atleast two individuals to exist. If I say God is eternal does that mean I said God depends on eternity? And by saying that God is eternal is it not evident that God is uncreated therefore? I didn't even mention any hierarchy, God can be hierarchical in his operations but it does not define God's Triunity of personhood.

Since the whole of Christianity believes God sent his own son to come and comit suicide(holy suicide grin) for their sin, then why wasn't Jesus killed around the time when he was born

Remember, Joseph and Mary had to flee to protect baby Jesus...and around that time, lots of babies was killed

Why take so much risk to keep baby Jesus safe if after all he was sent to die for the sins of the world?

Did it really matter if he dies as a baby or he dies as an adult?
Isn't death death?
Or is one's death more special if one does as an adult??

Or is the Christian community making the insolent blunder to think that God was FATTENING his own son because their sins was too much... so Jesus had to grow up and get fat so that his blood can absorb the sins of the world very well

Is that what the Christian community is telling me?

That God that preached against suicide would send his own son to come and commit suicide for them?!

The same God that can wipe their entire existence away and start afresh had to send HIS OWN SON TO DIE FOR THEM!!!

Damn! Humanity must be so special for Jesus to commit suicide for them cry

BECAUSE OF WHAT? HUMANITY IS SPECIALhuh
because we're the only creation he created??!!!

Happy Sunday in advance...Get ready to be deceived tomorrow by confused men in suits...after being deceived you'll still pay your hard earned money...

making yet again ANOTHER blunder: thinking that heaven spends your pathetic worthless paper money...

AntiChristian:
The concept of the Trinity—the Christian doctrine that defines God as one being in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—has been explained through various analogies and theological frameworks. Here’s a summary of some of the best ways it has been explained, along with the corresponding impediments to each explanation:

1.Water Analogy
Explanation: Water can exist in three states: liquid, ice, and steam. Each state is fundamentally water yet manifests differently.
Impediment: This analogy leans towards modalism, suggesting that God merely changes forms rather than existing simultaneously in three persons.

2.Triangular Analogy
Explanation: A triangle has three sides and is one shape. Each side represents a person of the Trinity, unified as one entity.
Impediment: This can imply that the persons of the Trinity are merely parts of a whole, which can lead to a misunderstanding of the distinctiveness and co-equality of the three persons.

3.Roles of a Person Analogy
Explanation: A person can be a parent, a child, and a sibling simultaneously, showcasing different roles while remaining one person.
Impediment: This analogy risks falling into partialism or modalism as well, blurring the lines of individual personhood within the Trinity.

4.Sun Analogy
Explanation: The sun represents the Father, its light represents the Son, and heat represents the Holy Spirit. All are aspects of the same source.
Impediment: This analogy can imply that the Son and the Holy Spirit are not fully divine as they are merely emanations from the Father.

5. Mathematical Analogy
Explanation: Using the equation 1 + 1 + 1 = 1, this analogy emphasizes the unity of the three persons in one essence.
Impediment: It can confuse those unfamiliar with advanced mathematics and may not effectively convey the relationship between the three persons. 1+1+1= 3 not 1.

6. The Egg Analogy
The egg analogy explains the Trinity using an egg's three parts: shell, egg white, and yolk, which together form one egg. It illustrates unity and distinction. However, it risks partialism, implying each part is only a portion of God, and oversimplifies the complex relationships among the three persons.

So what is the best way to explain trinity without embracing modalism, partialism or debasing God from what He is not?
It is One God in three persons or three persons in one God.
Persons in this context does not mean a human being but rather the self awareness of a being.

Each of us as human being only possesses one self awareness in our being but God possesses a triune self awareness.
Your being describe what you are, while the awareness of yourself makes you a person.

In other words the Trinity is one what and three who's.

The bible said God is love, for love to exist there must be a giver and a recipient since God is a trinity he does not depend on his creation to express love.
Another example is truth, for truth to be justified there needs to be atleast two persons.
Jesus said the father is his witness of the truth of his teachings and he also said that the Holy Spirit would witness for him while he witnessed for the father.

I wish you would be ready to debate with me on this.
The Bible condones slavery, misogyny, ra.pe, racism, assault etc, all instructions from your god.
So if this makes this video useless, cos the bible is not a moral compass at all
The bible does not condone slavery, except in cases of the old where people voluntary submitted themselves to serve under a master or enemies who werr captured (used as to reduce the fighting men of enemy nations).

There is no misogyny in the bible, and the bible does not condone rape, the argument that the bible condone rape has being debunked already.

Atheism can not not justify morality, if there is no God then morality simply becomes and opinion.
