raskymonojendor:
The title of Oba of Lagos makes zero sense. It should be Eleko of Eko.
I am isale eko and we are yorubas, don't mind those people distracting us for the real issue. We are not binis, edo or whatever. Omo Yoruba tokan tokan ni wa.

It is up to the binis to embrace their heritage or be considered bastards

Were the Binis not the Eko tribe? If they were then they made up the largest size of the population
No the Eko people are not Binis. We are not Binis. Our ancestors might have been but we are not Binis as at today.

How come the indigenous Lagosians don't win since 1999 and they've been contesting?
Yes while that needs to be looked into we still prefer a yoruba from Osun. Don't be deceived.

ObereEmma:
Biafra ideology and drive is what Yoroubas cannever understand or achieve in a world to come. Its not easy keeping a 60yrs old light on while rebuilding from scratch Zero.
If that Hunger is an organ in the body, you guys don't have it.
I can see how failures like you leave your enclaves to drag what was once a national site to seem like a village build by yoroubas. You will be ashamed to see the so-called indigenes in there so-called estate living like tout and beggars.

Na people wey no sabi una dey think say una get anything for so-called Lagos. If Lagos develop x100 tomorrow, those migrant you hate will have the best out of it.
Keep deceiving yourself. Lie lies in your dna as truth is something that happens to your people and never what you will hear from their mouth.

When you see a Yorouba man, you see truth in 3D, but when he opens his mouth, you could think he isn't aware of his own body.
No problem, we are also not complaining about this. We want the best for Nigerians no matter where you are from. Politics of Lagos is for Yorubas and lovers of Yoruba people.

Thank you

ValarDoharis:
How come Lagos indigenous people have not been governors in Ekiti or Osun? Its always a one way traffic to the detriment of Lagosians!

You're using one Yoruba to cheat indigenous Lagosians
Don't worry about that, we are not complaining abi the Oba of Lagos and the chiefs are no longer indigenes? Did the PDP or ACD candidate complain to igbos.

Again Yorubas look beyond cheap popularity. We love our brothers from Osun, Ogun, Ondo, Kwara, Benin republic, Bini, Togo, Kwara and Kogi. Anyone of them can contest and get the support of us Indigenes.

One thing you people need to understand is a state is an artifical border sent by some people, we are united by cultural heritage .

I gave you too much credit. Seems you are actually a stark illiterate. Nothing but a bigot who now wants to divisively subdivide Yorubas into "original from Lagos" and otherwise, ike Chinedu Rhodes Vivour, to suit the crude divide-and-conquer tactics you feel will give you Igbos more clout in Lagos.

As Remi Tinubu proclaimed over Igbo treachery, "we no longer trust you Igbos" so I will give you the free advice to head back to the East and build you Singapore meet Dubai there because it is going to only get worse for Igbo now you have revealed your covetous hand and your real usurpation agenda over Lagos during the last election.

You rash people , who always act hastily, have now taken yourselves back to the period immediately after the civil war when the distrust for "disruptive and covetous" Igbos was very high and remainded so for decades.

Stay online making impotent Nzogbu Nzogbu noise, rather than head to the SE to build your own Lagos there. The 2027 reality, where the few Igbos in office in Lagos will be removed by 'concerted effort', will clear your eyes of any doubt to show you things have changes and that "we no longer trust you Igbos".

You have been put on notice. Keep making noise when those with legislative and executive power like Obasa, below, have already given you explicit warning of what is to come.
Obasa is an indigene as well.

They exposed themselves. These people are honestly greedy. I will rather an Illorin man or Minna than Igbo.
PoliticsRe: Greedy Nature & Covetousness For Lagos State. by step1: 4:59am On Nov 24, 2023
I laugh when I read the lamentation of igbos daily over Lagos. When that time reach we go see who own what.

The bond between Yorubas goes beyond Lagos or Nigeria.

Coming from an indigene. We honestly do not want Igbos on our land. GVR and his family don't hold any swey in Lagos or its traditional territories. I will rather a Kogi man than an igbo man. Even Hausa better pass. Go figure

You could do that before so long as you pass your IELTS or maybe with a bit in French.

Seriously you need a degree now. If you do not have a degree, forget it. Those that are unskilled are usually CEC or from other countries that there citizens have buisness here so they can give you employment.

All you need are

Your NOC

Both of which must align

Also because of CRS scores, you might be needing Masters or french for FSW.

Got ITA a week to her 30th birthday in March

Submitted application third week of April. The delay was caused by the pandemic.

Waited and waited, ACCRA VO

Had a baby in September so I needed to add him to our application.

Added within 4 days

Got PPR 2 days after my birthday in October Perfect birthday gift.

Submitted our passport 2nd week in November to Accra. Got passport back mid January 2021

Now the main gist. grin

I have been telling my wife we should travel that people are landing, she was saying she wanted to get Authorization letter. So we applied for AL and it never came.

On the 27th or so (Wednesday)after Canadian government announced new restrictions, I just woke her up and drove straight to MMIA, bought a ticket that same day to travel on Friday. We had just 48 hours to pack and prepare.

Did COVID19 test on Thursday

Friday the D-day

On my way to the airport, missed my way twice cry in fact I was just praying I dont miss this flight.

Got to the airport, I had no issues because I did not pack food and my wife and I have a decent visa history I guess.

Got to YYZ we were asked to remain on the plane. shocked my heart skipped as I thought they will be returning us to naija. They an announcement was made that they will only accept 50 at a time.

Ah God, what a relief.

Eventually we got out, got to the immigration officer. She stamped our CoPR and said the magic words "Welcome to Canada, congratulations you are now permanent residence of Canada. Your PR card should get to you in a couple of weeks"

Headed straight to collect our bags then went to board air Canada to Calgary.

Got to calgary late. Went straight to the hotel where we are still quarantining.

Sorry the story was rushed and I skipped a lot of details but I hope it encourages someone out there.

I don't reply PMs as I do not have access to my mail. Please post your question on this thread and I will do my best to answer based on my experience.

Thanks to everyone on this thread, you guys are helping the average Nigerian youth

thebosstrevor1:
Up to them.

If you like immigrate to the sky, the citizens there will still ask your fourth generation, where are you orginally from?

Most Nigerians spend all their days abusing and causing Nigeria.

Even when they immigrate out of Nigeria, the abuse still continues.

You were in Nigeria, you abused the country, you immigrated to canada or whatever and still continue the abuse.

What do you really want from Nigeria?

If you can not add anything to Nigeria's development, stop complaining
As long is illiterates keep running the affairs of this country, let the bridge burn.
