Government has a role to play here. They should formulate and implement more people oriented policies. It is not business as usual anymore with the ever increasing population. Government needs to change their style of governance as it is impacting negatively on the populace.

Government policy groundwork and framework should be pro people development and not anti people development for this negate the tenet of good governance. The populace watch what the government says and does and take cognitive action. Already sections of the populace have become indocile to government policies. Lip service is inaction and will yield nothing. Reactive action will yield less result until government do what they are suppose to do.

The cleric described the President as ‘weak and clueless about insecurity challenges facing the country.”
Well captioned

“From the look of things, it is becoming clear that the perpetrators of these murderous acts are on a mission of genocide and ethnic cleansing. The government has so far failed to prove to us that it is willing to bring a permanent end to this persisting carnage."

Well said without mincing words

See eh this thing did not start today. The seed of exam malpractice was sown a long time ago. It germinated and grew with the culture and nurture of parents, students and teachers into a tree bearing full fruits which we are seeing now. The problem can only be tackled from the roots. There is need to reassess, reevaluate and review our education system and also change the premium value we place on our education system.

LibertyRep:
It'll be unfortunate if this issue is given religious or ethnic coloration as some may want to paint it.

NBA may have to eventually cancel the conference at the end.

What then is the reason for giving their platforms to politicians? Why not Retired Judges, Diplomats, Technocrats etc

In the first place did they seriously discuss among the working committee and a host of other members of the body before sending out invitations .l believe if they had done this first everything would have been thrashed thoroughly in house and decision made agreed on before sending out invitations.

For our legal practitioners to be behaving like this is worrisome. I for one would have preferred a situation where it is only the the legal arm of government at various levels that are sent invitations then Retired Judges,Diplomats,Technocrats,......etc as you said. Like you said they may have to cancel the conference .l hope they know that what their actions and inactions can do to the foundation of trust and confidence they have worked hard to earn at the local, national and international level.

Beedude:
Most people that worked with Laporte don't want to associate with the present board.
Once a change of board happens, u will see people like Pep or Xavi ready to come back home.
This board is a disaster in every aspect.
The present sporting director of Man city left Barca immediately Laporte left. Since then, all Barcas transfers hasn't been In accordance to the tiki taka principle, players like Traore of wolves were allowed to leave and they spend 100+m on Dembele. Over age squad and so many average players.
Aside Messi, De jong, Alba and Stegen. All other Barca players don't worth a first team shirt.
Barca standard has really dropped since 2016 and it will drop further if nothing is done at the board level.

What is it with FC Barcelona doling out huge sums of money to sign players of late? This was not the tradition of the club(correct me if l am wrong).l thought they had a policy for spotting and pulling good and quality players to the club at less cost.

I don’t know why Xavi is running away from the role for now.

Could it because of Messi being his team mate?

I personally think Xavi has what it takes to be a great coach.

See eh the truth is Xavi has insight of FC Barcelona and he had foresight of what was ahead for him if he took the job so he turned down the offer.
