bakynes:The real question is what was Azikiwe's business contesting for elections in the SW. Nigeria was not yet independent, yet the Igbos were already planning how to take over everywhere. We knew him to be born in Zungeru which is in the North, and tribally from Onitcha in the East, and politically a son of Herbert Macaulay in Lagos the capital of Nigeria. So what exactly was his business competing outside his land of birth or tribe, when other regions were having indigenous Premiers? Anyway, Awolowo who understood parliamentary politics knew that you don't become premier until a government was formed. Azikiwe found himself seating on his single seat which he won, and he still had his band of thoughtless Yoruba NCNC party members who also had won seats, yet were not ambitious to aspire to the Premiership in their own region. |
Iykmann:Those who always cry that they were not allowed to rule in the West, or the North did not allow them to take all the jobs meant for Northern graduates, yet they held on tightly to all that was available in their own region. |
Why didn't Azikiwe resume in the Western Region as a leader of opposition? Atleast he still had his single seat he won and his party was now holding minority seats when compared to the majority seat that Awolowo and his independents alliance held? Because he only wanted to lead and not follow. So he ran back to the Eastern region and usurped Dr Eyo Ita as the Premier of that region. All of a sudden, Azikiwe remembered he had a village in the East, yet he wanted to be a Western Premier, when the North had a Northerner and the East had Eyo Ita an Easterner. Or could Awolowo have ran to the East to contest for Eastern Premier if he had failed in his Western bid like Azikiwe quickly retraced his steps? A man who having schooled in the US and not UK like Awolowo, did not understand parliamentary system of government. He foolishly chose to partner with the Northern NPC to become ceremonial president as opposed to being executive Prime Minister in an NCNC and AG alliance. The same American education would not allow Azikiwe to agree to Awolowo's demand to have a secession clause in the constitution. America had fought a civil war to keep it's territory intact between the slave owning South and the emancipated North Yankees. While a parliamentary Britain had managed to settle for Irish separation from the UK. In the end, it is his people that suffered for his political ignorance, and ended up fighting a civil war like the Southern Americans and lost like them. But seriously, how can a tremendously educated Western Region have an Easterner who was only the first generation of educated Igbos as Premier? Even the poorly educated North had a Northerner. What did Azikiwe who was a Lagos politician know about the yearnings and aspirations of the Western Region? In retrospect, Awolowo proved to be a blessing to the Western region and scored many firsts in Africa, that the rest of Nigeria had to play catch-up. Abeg, cry me a river. |
Good aspirations. It is not enough just criticizing on social media, the youths should aspire to lead and not just to be led. Let him reveal his plans to his constituents. |
I must admit that his media team has always been foolish. Also, has the BBC siezed to have an English language radio? Why is the Hausa language radio easily accessible but the English is not? Must he always relay messages through BBB Hausa? What about Radio Nigeria (if that even still exist) or VON or NTA. Again, him and his handlers are rather foolish and do not seem to care about the mood of the country before doing something even more polarising. Nay Baba! |
ednut1:Indeed your response make sense. Anyway, it has been proven that such senior police officer exist and Evans has been confronted with the disclosures the officer made, and has begun to un-tell the previous lies about his work experience. |
victorvezx:Don't you know it is the Igbos that drew the map of Nigeria and gave us all our identity. They can decide at will that even me a Yoruba man is Kanuri, and you an Oron man is Ijaw. They can even decide that their own brother is Okoroawusa and their sister who is Asa is a musician that likes DBanj. |
Amarabae:It's really pathetic that even you that your own people are instructing to drink green hydraulic soup and stop claiming Igbo, Asa or DBanj, because they doubt your claims to their ethnicity, is also the same victim deciding who is NigerDelta or not based on their opinion that does not suit your argument. Rather pathetic. A victim also victimizing. I will continue to ask, why does the Igbo believe they are in a position to decide who is truly SS/NigerDelta or not? Nigeria has long liberated those minorities from the Igbo grip. If a man says he is Oron tribe, who is the Igbo to decide if he is or not? As it stands now, the minority Igbo in Delta or Rivers are the ones in the grip of the SS/NigerDelta. |
ednut1:So you do not believe a story where the source is a ranking police officer with a name and not an nameless source? So you believe Evans is a man that never told a lie? Anyway, the same Evans has already recanted his old story and has admitted to the said robbery and we have seen the picture of his chest with the scar. I hope you have learnt an important lesson about information timeline and adapting as the story changes. |
OK! She's a Nigerian. |
POpikin:Just a few insignificant Ipobic Jews and you are already trying to start a religious war in Biafra. Is it Jews that will teach Igbos about Christianity? Are Jews Christian and are they saved? No wonder Kanu said Jesus is not the way the truth and the life. He even blamed the bible on Yoruba Christians. As usual, na Afonja Igbos dey blame for all their problems. Soon they will blame Bishop Ajayi Crowther for teaching them how to letter their own language. Last last, na Afonja Christians go rescue Igbo Christians ooo. We cannot let Biafra deviate from Christianity like Turkey. A whole Biafra that produced Francis Cardinal Arinze, a prefect for the congregation for divine worship and the sacraments, and a preferati at the 2005 conclave. A Biafra that produced the blessed Iwene Tansi who is to become a Catholic Saint soon. We Yoruba Christians cannot afford to lose Christian Biafra to a few Jews. We will never let it happen. While they feared all their lives the conquering Jihadist Muslim, na ordinary albino Jew go finally defeat Igbo Christians? Hahahahahaha! Gloria in excelsis deo. |
Omooba77:I have only revealed to you that I judge people based on their results. I am neither emotional or sentimental, nor do I hold a tribal grudge against a particular person. I already passed my judgement on Jonathan while he was still seeing out the last year of the late Yar Adua regime, so I was not surprised as to his cluelessness when he presided over what should have been our best years. 2years have passed since the start of the Buhari regime, and I have passed my judgement too. I can assure you that as at now his body is already facing the road to Daura. Even if he forcefully faces his head towards Aso Rock, we would carry his body towards Daura. |
Ogbuefi2020:I fell for a man who accepted that corruption was a problem and who was willing to put presidential weight on the fight against corruption. A man who already had an antecedent in this regard. As opposed to a man who used the campaign trail as a means to advocate for corruption without penalty because there would be no one else to rule over. The same confused fellow is still insisting till today that he was wrongly blindsided by USA and UK because of imaginary corruption that they had no evidence of. This is despite all the security funds put into his private political campaign and spiritual Alhaji, and special assignments like Metuh. This is coming from a president who pardoned a convicted former governor who was his boss and party member and then gave him a Senate ticket as welcome back to politics gift. He pardoned a party chieftain Bode George and rubbished the gains made by the Yar Adua regime in the fight against corruption. He reduced EFCC to a useless government agency where staff were so idle, they could be picking beans during work hours. I ensured that such a woefully useless human being was not rewarded for his failures. That is democracy at work and why you have 2terms. You fail, you go home, you impress then you continue. Don't worry about Buhari, he is already set on the road home to Daura, he doesn't even need to contest and must have learnt from Jonathan's mistake of contesting for re-election. |
CROWNWEALTH019:He is regarded as their patron, so he had to defend his own. Much like how Charly Boy tries to defend Okada riders. Like you said, he stormed Ibadan with delegates, not warriors. And yes we Yorubas really descended heavily on them when their problems became too much and they had to go bring out their big masquerade. As per the text in bold, their actions have proven it so. While the herdsmen seem not to have any regard for country, territory or law. I sometimes wonder if they know they are in a country. Question is, do they even know the national anthem, pledge or Nigerian history? Heck, do they even know what year we are in? They are our own version of bandits in the wild west who have no regard for country or law or law officer. |
Ogbuefi2020:Not much is expected from an empty mind. |
CROWNWEALTH019:A lot of people who said so prior to the 2015 elections had no concrete proof. Buhari as military head of state had more Southern Ministers than Northern. He also had more Christian state military administrators than Muslim. The list of these appointees was all over the internet and it proved a very even selection that reflected the diverse national identity. The claims that he had Shagari on house arrest while the Vice President Ekwueme was in prison was defeated by the fact that all governors whether North or South, Muslim or Christian, were all in prison too while their cases were determined. As we have all seen since this democratic dispensation started in 1999, no deputy governor or vice president can be accorded much regard. Even their principals don't accord their deputies much regards. So it was not unexpected that Buhari's military regime put the principal under house arrest while the vice was locked up pending trial. He sanctioned traditional rulers from both North and South that flouted a government rule on travel The thieving minister of transport who was kidnapped in the UK to be returned to face trial in Nigeria, was a Northern Muslim called Umaru Dikko. So those who pushed your argument leading up to 2015, had no evidence to back their claims. Now talking about such claims in this current Buhari administration is a whole different argument, for which the evidence is obvious to even the blind that there is no need to even be debating it. |
I didn't even bother to listen to the message on any of the online news media where I saw the story. If he did address the nation in Hausa, then him and his handlers are terribly confused and he does not understand the heterogeneous nation he campaigned to lead. |
Yeeeh! My jaw ooo. Hahahahaha! But it is still of no value to the debate.

|
durangokid:You are the bigot who has already seen a tribal angle to the debate between Fashola and the National Assembly. But don't worry, when Fashola replies to their claims, I will be sure to notify you and douse the ethnic tension that is almost choking you. |
beberebe:Send your Ipobic army to go and stop their 13% derivation. The same Akure cane that was used to beat sense into the arrogant EzeNdigbo will be used to whip sense into your ignorant heads. Very angry and miserable fellow. |
coolebux:I'm Yoruba, raised a Catholic, but without any regard for organised religion or the mental slavery that religion fosters and the hate and animosity it eventually leads to between the many creeds that exist in the world. I repeat again, is it the fault of the OP that Igbo jews may soon begin to violate the rights of Igbo Christians? Igbo Christians may soon be subjected to scourgings at the Jewish temple pillar, or being charged for heresy in Biafra. Anyway, I trust his Holiness, Pope Francis, would never allow that to happen. The devil in the appearance of an IPOB Jew would be exorcised together with his legion. Remember Lucifer, he is the father of lies who will attempt to deceive even the elect. |
BabaRamota1980:The guy and his clansmen tire me ooo. The weird thing is there are lots of Igbos working in the oil industry either with the client companies, the service companies and drilling contractors. They are enlightened, but will never attempt to educate their illiterate folk, or attempt to correct their warped opinion on issues because it suits their script of using hatred as a tool of control over the mob of IPOB Eastern almajiri. |
POpikin:A common miscreant has convinced a lot of illiterates that he is a professor of history and anything he says is true. As we have brainwashed boko haram and ISIS, we also have brainwashed IPOB. What a shame. |
coolebux:Why are ipobians always ashamed of the past opinions of their leader, and then direct their anger at the person who is constantly reminding them of these opinions? Is it the fault of the OP the director holds such opinion? Or is it Afonja pastors that created the bible or the verse the Jewish apologist does not want to accept? God help the Igbo Christians, they have suffered in the hands of Fulani herdsmen, next is to suffer in the hands of IPOB Jews. |
conductor2:That's what you should do since you have nothing of value to bring to the debate. |
Amarabae:Have you bothered to find out why the provided funds could not be spent yet? Or you wanted the funds to be spent even when no actual work has begun and contract modalities are still being worked on? Atleast he has not been accused of embezzling the funds, all that was allocated was duly returned. So the only sane question is what exactly is hindering the start of the job. |
ScotsReferendum:Was this how the Scottish referendum was achieved? Was it spearheaded by terrorists who threatened others with violence like you and your IPOB gang have been doing? Was it not spearheaded by the recognised democratic structures and authorities of Scotland? Was anybody's head bashed in like you would do if they do not vote the way you want, since you already do not even tolerate contrary opinion now. You are a disgrace and a stain to the sane and civil ScotsReferendum that the world witnessed. You are lesser than a zoo animal, you are a wild beast that should remain in the jungle. rainylad:I am happy my message pricked your conscience and you could not make peace with the hypocrisy I exposed. As for quoting you twice, I am not responsible for whatever glitches Nairaland is experiencing that resulted in the double post. However, I am happy the message pierced you twice, overcoming the stubborn hypocrisy your previous post conveyed. Again I repeat, we fully embrace this culture and we will continue to mock those who have now been forced to embrace our good culture despite their previous denigration of such actions. Have you bowed to you father and mother today? Or is it only the miscreant director you bow to? |
Erha field of Exxon Mobil is offshore Ondo. Same as ENI's Abo field. Many more abound, just as there are many deepwater fields offshore Bayelsa like Agbami, Offshore Lagos like Folawiyo-Aje, and offshore Akwa Ibom like Ebok, Okoro etc. All the mentioned fields above I have been involved with from a project implementation standpoint. But I know you are saddened by all of this, but there is nothing I can do about it but make you even more miserable. |
beberebe:You've created the same false topic twice on the same day, yet you are calling those that have exposed your lies as propagandists? You are a miserable clansman and I am happy with your pain and agony. |
