Please assist with solution to this SFA result.
Obviously it's a bad one, what can be done to improve on it urgently?
Improve on the parameters urgently or you need urgent answers? Cos it takes at least 3months before any significant change is seen.
Get a combination of manix, vit E. Do a lifestyle change, if you drink or smoke you have to stop. Exercise and eat lots of fruits

Hello house, I hope these two results are okay. I've had two miscarriages before

Sorry about the miscarriages. Were they early before 12 weeks? Were you given a reason why?

Your scan shows cysts on both ovaries and they're concerned about the endometrial plate.

Hormonal profile shows you aren't ovulating your prolactin is high and that might be the reason for the miscarriages. I hope you are working with a good gynecologist. Sprinkling baby dust

Good morning experienced mamas.

I am a first time mother and my baby is over 5 weeks.

I am kind of worried my baby doesn't respond to sound. Hubby plays the home theatre very loud sometimes especially when baby is sleeping just to see if he'll be frightened.

Please l want to if it's normal
Why not get a hearing test done?

Please someone should help explain better.@sugah
Sorry I'm seeing this late.

Hope you've been BDing?
When you do, just put a pillow under your bum and sleep off afterwards (your dh can help you clean up).

A follow up scan will confirm if the follicles ruptured (ovulation occurred) but just keep BDing.

Congratulations in advance

Good afternoon mummy,

Being a bit worried, noticed that every 4th day of my cycle , this thick blood drops off from me.....

Can you explain what it is.....

Also, the transvaginal test was taken 30th March 2021...being trying to conceive 2years now...any advise...done a fibroid operation 2017 ,so it's a no no for me again
You will need to check with your doctor about the clumps. (I used to have that prior to my Myomectomy)
Was the fibroids you removed in 2017 symptomatic and where they all removed? Scan says you have fibroids, intramural, and that may be the cause of the clumps.

@ Sugah

Do you suggest I carried out hormonal profile test or in what direction should I be considering?
Yes ma, you need to do a hormonal profile test to check your hormones and find out which hormone is abnormal and hindering ovulation

May God answer us all
Was diagnosed of PID, my hvs result is out too, I saw scanty growth of Candida alb.....I was supposed to see the doctor that asked me to do the hvs but when I got to the hosp, I was told I've been referred to the gynae....I went to gynae, gynae asked me to go for series of tests (ECS, HSG and so on) which I don't think the results will be out anytime soon, and she said I should only come back when I have the results, I wasn't placed on any medication..... should I be worried?
You shouldn't do HSG while you have PID. The procedure may worsen the situation as the dye can push the infection to cause tubal blockage. Does the gyne know you have PID?

The viscosity is watery ma
Watery semen is only a problem if the sperm count is low....in this case its not low.

I haven't done any hormonal test

You need to do hormonal profile to see which hormones are abnormal. It's done on your cycle day 3 (FSH, LH, prolactin) and day 21 ( Progesterone)

His sperm is watery
That is where the issue is
145Million sperm count with 65% motility and 70% morphology? There's absolutely no problems there.

Good evening mother's to be.

I am new to this group, however, I needed help.

I have been married for 1 year and half.

I did scan and hsg which indicates, no fibroids, bilateral tubes, anteverted uterus, no ovarian cyst, no fallopian tube blockage all the organs are ok but pregnancy is not occuring, I did ovulation test which tested negative, whereas I have been on follic acid, ovumine also clomid but still not pregnant and also I do have very painful menstruation which I have once taken injection to suppress the pain, please what could be the cause of this?
My weight is 48kg
Welcome and may your stay be short.

Whats the result of your hormonal profile test (if any) so as to know which hormone is out of place and affecting ovulation?

Good evening everyone, please I would like someone to help me interpret this result especially that part that reads head- 70%, midpiece 20 and tail 10%. What they mean
Count is good at 53million, motility and morphology also good at 60% but there's room for improvement...lifestyle changes, exercise avoiding alcohol /tobacco/steroids...

Morphology refers to the size, shape and appearance of sperm. They just gave details on the 40% abnormal form of the sperm. Of the abnormal sperms, 70% doesn't have head, 20% midpiece and 10% no tail). It's just more details that shouldn't bother you

Pls someone should help me interpret this semen analysis. Have been trying to post the result buh it refused to upload so I decided to type.
Appearance- greyish white
Viscosity- non viscocos
Volume 3.5ml
Motility progressively motile 40%
Non progressively motile 10%
Non motile 50%
Total counts 52×106
Immature cells 60%
Total abnormal cell seen 60%
Normal form 40%
Pls cells 2-3
While the sperm count is OK, (52 million) the motility and morphology are both below min of 50%.

Good evening Sabi mama. Abeg help a FTM.
I gave birth 8 days ago. And decided to do EBF. However breast milk didn't come on time so he was on glucose water for two days before breast milk came. After I started with breastfeeding I noticed that baby has been pooing almost 6 times within 24 hours and is runny and bright yellow. I don't know what to do. He is sucking well and not weak or running temperature. But he poos 4 times in the day and twice at night. Is it normal. And please are there foods I should avoid..
Very runny and bright yellow could be an indication of diarrhea. Does it totally sink into the diaper?

Hello ladies, i really need your opinion on something that has been bothering me. I am proud to be in the forum because i learn alot. I am from nov 2020 group and i have a 4 year old son plus my nov girl. I am seriously googling, pondering, researching just name it about whether to add third baby. Honestly i know that this will be considered by me lastly but i just cant make up my confused mind. Please no bashing because i know this is a discussion between hubby and me. I already told him i wasnt going for a third one around the period i birthed my girl. Omo, the pains and stress of csection and sleeplessness were taking its toll on me. So the guy fled. So now, he was like, whatever i want. So he is indifferent. I dont just know why i cant decide. Please TTmamas any clue? Im in my late thirties.
Your decision to increase your family size shouldn't be via googling now grin.
I think the major determining factor is the sort of life you want for the kids and yourself and which is very much centered around finances.
If your pocket/savings/investments can comfortably cater to basics (shelter, accommodation, food, good education upto tertiary level) and others (vacations, eventuality of a loss of income etc) then by no means go ahead.

Personally I've stopped at 2, 4yr son and December 2020 girl (I'm in my late 30s too)...this is what we can raise comfortably in this Nigeria of today..........but if I decide to relocate abroad I might add a 3rd grin

After all Tony Elumelu has 7children in this our present economy grin

Tutu82, Ginaz, nneejima,

Points to note:
Fibroids are predominant in blacks .
Nigerian brand of folic acid (given at ANC ) is 5milligram(5000micrograms). Daily recommended dose of folic acid (foreign brands) is 400micrograms.

While there's still no data on how and why fibroids form (I believe if this plagues whites too there would have been ample data already), our doctors generally advise not to take the 5mg folic acid as it tends to increase the size of fibroids due to excess blood. Same reason why fibroid grows during early stages of pregnancy (for a coexisting pregnancy/fibroids) and sometimes degenerates when the baby starts growing bigger.

From personal experience, with symptomatic fibroids and 6months of nonstop bleeding my doctors only put me on iron tablets and monitored my pcv...before surgery.
With my second pregnancy and coexisting fibroids, my doctor didn't give me the Nigerian brand folic acid in the early stages of the pregnancy as I already had a case of threatened abortion (and he stated the reason too).

If you have fibroids with heavy bleeds, take iron tablets and stay away from Nigerian brand folic acid.

Hello fruitful mamas...baby dust to us all

Has anyone gotten pregnant or know of someone who got pregnant despite high prolactin levels?
This nurse be scaring me saying conception can not happen, and even if it does happen baby cannot be carried to term.
All other hormones are fine, just the prolactin is high. I see my period regularly, and the stretchy CM also.

Su.gah, tripletw. ins222 Would appreciate your inputs mamas please. Thank you ma's
Good day mama. As others have correctly said, high prolactin can cause annovulation or blighted ovum but it is treatable and people have gone on to carry successful pregnancies. People use orthodox (ewedu therapy, cabbage) and medical (dostinex, parlodel etc) means to tackle it.

Good evening beautiful mamas, how are we all doing? I pray God grant us all children that will take care of us when we are old Amen.
Today makes it 9weeks and 4days after myomectomy. I decided to go check it out through scan on my own and the result is attached below. Pls, mamas and papas what do you suggest I do because I am not totally heal from my last surgery still feeling pains and this now. Please help me with what I can do now. Thanks for your responses.
You should have a conversation with your doctor who performed the surgery to know why you still have fibroids 9weeks after......I know some doctors only remove problematic fibroids and leave unproblematic ones while some take everything out. I think the former method is to reduce surgery time and blood loss.

He drinks lots of water. What is prune juice and where can I get it?
Youd find it at the baby food section of walmart/target etc. It's a natural laxative. Mix with water and give on an empty stomach butnits only to relief current constipation. You'll have to make baby diet a fibre rich one and give vegetables too

Good day ma,
By God's grace I and my wife will start the detoxifing process on May 1,i have gotten the drugs.
My wife have been on this attached drugs for a while, can she stop the drugs during detoxifing process or she should continue. Thanks.
The antibiotics regimen isn't a detoxification o. It's a regimen for bacterial load/bacterial infections including chlamydia.
The drug attached is a prenatal, you can use it while taking the antibiotics

i hope nutriborn of different flavour like fruit, wheat and others is good for baby at 6 months
Nutribom single grain is ok, dont start with the multigrain type.. You are meant to start by introducing a single grain (corn or millet etc) so you can watch for allergic reactions. Then you can start mixing when you're sure they'll not react.

Example, you start by giving pap + milk (formula or breastmilk) if no reactions after 1 or 2 times then the next time you add soybeans to the pap + milk.

Also, some babies have milk allergies so be cautious when introducing formula or cereals with milk added.
