Good evening everyone. It's been a long time, trust we are all doing great. Please, I have a ten months old baby who suddenly developed this crying habit that I should take her anywhere I'm going. If we are together in the living room and I needed to take something from the kitchen, she will start crying (high pitch cry o). She cries the moment she sees that I'm going out of her sight. She doesn't allow anyone to carry her except me. The clinginess is tiring abeg. Please experience mummies, how do I deal with this? Thank you all as you respond.
It's separation anxiety and it's usually just a phase.
Read more about it below

Good morning everyone please I just want to ask a question, someone said I should be massaging my baby's neck( you know that hole between the neck and the shoulder) that its not good for it to be completely covered with flesh O. I asked why no logical explanation that ermm cold,co vulsion. That I should be pressing the hole so it will be visible she even said it will pain the baby but I shouldnt mind, a 1 year plus baby.

I even said the hole can never be blocked its still there just that the fleshier the baby the less visible it might be.

You know when even in adults a slim person the hole is more prominent than someone who is a bit chubby same as babies which is the norm.

I just said okay because I didn't believe or agree with the person, I don't think there's any logical reason to do that and I didn't want to argue.

I have heared differnet things but this seems to be the strangest and I am not even a first time mum.

Later on pressed mine and hubbys own the muscles there pained for a long while, my husband now said shey you see how painful it is so someone wants you to do that to a baby for no logical reason.

My sister let us just laugh together grin grin grin

Clavicle (neck bone) that I'm seriously looking for now because when mine disappears it means I've added too much weight cry

My 3 months old does not pee as much as she use to and it's really bothering me. Is it normal?

Are you still lactating well? Is the baby sweating? Does she pee within 30mins of breastfeeding her (you'd need to remove her diaper to check)?

Good morning fruitful mothers in the house. Pls I need your advice on this issue. I am 30yrs and I and hubby been trying to conceive since 2016, after test results the problem is coming from hubby. He was diagnosed with Azoospermia, with that am still working in faith with him that God can change things, just recently my mother has been telling hubby to take another wife. Is not that am a bad wife to them .Am good to everyone wch they always confirm that too. But since my mother inlaw altered that from her mouth my love for hubby and his families gradually decline. Pls do u think I can do. Only you can understand my pain. Thanks.
Sorry for having to go through this especially when it's not your fault you're still TTCing.
It's obvious your MIL doesn't know it's her son that is infertile and marrying another wife wouldn't solve the problem.
Questions are, how did you hear it? Did she make the comment to your hearing or privately to your husband? what was your husbands reaction to the comment? If the comment was made privately to him why did he tell you? And how has he been with seeking medical intervention to the issue. That should form your response to the issue.

Whatever the case, your husband is supposed to shield you from his family whether the fault is yours or his. Talk to him about it first to put his family in check and be firm about it.

Moms please, how do I get my baby to drink water. She doesn't accept water. The trick we use is when she's not fully conscious from sleep and the water must be warm and in a feeding bottle, she would accept little.
I was thinking of sweetening water a bit with Ri.bena.
Then, I don't know if I've asked before... Please, how good is P.eak Baby Formula compared to Nan 2. We are about progressing to 2nd stage formula.
I'm also concerned about the quantity of the formula. Is the tin full? Because Nan na scam. A friend suggested Cow & Gate but it is very scarce in my area.
Just keep giving her water..although she's not taking it because its not sweet like formula/milk, sweetening the water isn't a good choice especially in the long run.

Don't know about the formulas

Plz, I want to ask, his it possible to travel by flight. As pregnant mum. Coz. I heard local flight don't allow pregnant mum to travel except international flights.
Has anyone experience with this.
Thanks in anticipation.
It depends on the age of the pregnancy. Some local airlines wouldn't carry beyond 28weeks pregnancy. Check with the airline on their pregnancy policy before buying the ticket.

so been to the hospital, and they are not saying anything useful.
prescribed anti biotics, didnt help. some of the pimple like rashes develop to full blown boil with pus inside, and painful to baby.

has anyone experienced this before and whats the rememdy
It might be a bacterial infection. If the prescribed antibiotics didn't work do return to the hospital for a review with your pediatrician.

Anybody handling the child is supposed to wash their hands to prevent bacterial infections

Guys im emotionally drained and i was feeling God is punishing me for my past abortion. But after today i realized he died for my sins and i am forgiven. So ive been ttc for a year now. actively from december last year and i dont know whats wrong. Ive noticed i no onger have ewcm so maybe im not ovulating. Is it possible i have reached early menopause at 28...please any ideas cuz im sooo anxious. started clomid 50 mg this cycle....from the 5th day of my cylcle but i am now in the 15th day of my cycle and i have not ovulated and still no egg white cervical mucus.....helpp...anyone in a similar situation pls

also my cycle changed fom 28 days to 25days...i was ovulating early last year with the 28days before we started trying.... so what changed
Not seeing ecwm doesn't mean you aren't ovulating. Only a folliculometry can truly confirm ovulation but you can use ovulation strips to check for ovulation.
Depending on how long ago you did the D&C, your hormones might be out of place.

But it's just 3 months of trying, it's just your conscience eating you up. Once you forgive yourself you'd realise that you got pregnant while you weren't anxious/trying to conceive. It's only when you have tried for 1yr you can start worrying..but in the interim you can do a hormonal profile test and SFA for your husband.

Hi Mama's to be!

I and my husband started trying for a child in January but nothing till now; this is our 3rd cycle, AF is due to come tomorrow and I'm already spotting, so this month is out.

I'm wondering what we're doing wrong? And please recommend any good hospital or lab from Maryland to Ikorodu axis where we can go to be checked out cos I'm already getting worried.

Looking forward to your responses.. thanks!
3 cycles is an extremely short time of trying to become worried. Usually doctors don't even listen to you if you haven't actively tried for 1yr (6 months if you are above 35yrs). And actively trying means having unprotected sex every other day in your fertile window and at least once in 3 days in the following days.
What you might be doing wrong might be simply wrong timing of sex or you may not be doing anything wrong.
Echolab on Opebi is a good lab for diagnostics. But you have to go with your husband so he also runs a seminal fluid analysis

I don't know if it's allowed here but I just need to let it out. This in-laws wahala am kinda worried i want to do ebf for my baby but they are just making it difficult first they started with pawpaw water for baby that was free of jaundice.I accepted they stopped after some days now they said he must be drinking water daily even if it's once with glucose. Is it ok to give baby water with glucose am s ftm till at least when we leave here.
Secondly my baby is just 10 days but he sweat a lot is it necessary to still keep wrapping him with shawl I don't use fan o cos he has catarrh the first day I tried using fan
Truth is, the only way you can be firm with them is if you yourself know what is a myth and is truth and the dos and don'ts of childcare. Join ask the pediatricians on Facebook and learn from there.

Definitely do not give glucose! Giving water to an ebf baby just takes up space in the baby's belly and hence reduces the quantity of breastmilk your baby is taking. There's no nutrients in water and breastmilk contains all the water a baby needs. Also the process of giving the water might introduce infection to the baby.

On dressing, if the baby is sweating then he's hot. Dress him appropriately. A bodysuit and sleepsuit at night ditch the cap since you're not using fan.

saw saline drops 850 naira, and saline spray 3500 naira.
have you used either?
I've only used the spray (and yes they are expensive) for nasal congestion in infants. I don't know if the drops will serve same purpose. Do ask the pharmacist for clarification

Went for 6wks immunization n a woman there saw my baby n said she has "ila" (yoruba term) don't know d english name for it, she also said she has open front head. She suggest alagbo, which I bought, n started yesterday. Pls mama does it work? I don't feel comfortable given her. Cos she's still tender(6wks old). It my first time taking such, I've never tasted agbo
agbo can destroy your baby's kidney. Stop giving her.

Is ila on the skin or her head? post a picture

Open front head = Fontanelle is normal and will close by itself when she's older

Goodevening, pls i noticed my 3month old soon doesn't like to suck for long and am getting scared that he might be underfed so am thinking of getting a breast pump so I can pump and that way I can be sure of what he's actually consuming, pls is there anyone here that can actually recommend a good best pump to me. I want something trusted and tested cuz I dont want to waste money. Thanks
is the not sucking for long a recent development? if it is, there might be a chance of illness as reduced feeding/rejecting food is usually a first sign of illness.

Also, appropriate amount of milk taken for an ebf baby is calculated based on the babys weight. 100ml per kg divided by number of feeds.

Medela electric pump, tommee tippee manual, and this type zaynie sells are what ive used personally.
However, if your supply is very good and youre not planning to express for storage, you can use your hands to express.

if breast pump does not stil work, dont forget to apply formula just to ensure dat d baby is properly fed

Baby not sucking for long doesn't necessarily mean she isnt producing enough milk to properly feed the baby. She can still exclusively feed her baby with breastmilk either directly from her breast or feeding bottle.

I'm 10 months Post Natal and I've not seen my flow since I gave birth.
3 days back I experienced painful crams and sore nipple, very painful when baby is sulking. I'm still experiencing the painful nipple though the crams have subsided.

Any idea what could be wrong?
It's either PMS, pregnancy symptoms or your hormones readjusting.

You need to take the supplements for at least 3months before you begin to see improvement.

Please what do you mean by There is an infection caused by Staph in your sperm... treat it with antibiotics labelled S (susceptible) in the results.
Please explain what you mean my antibiotics labelled S (susceptible)?
If you go back to the result you posted..under the staph infection diagnosis you'd see a list of antibiotics. The ones labelled SH(zinnat etc)are the type you should buy and will work while the one labelled R wouldn't.

Pls I need help from anyone experiencing this I was diagnosed for pcos last month I was given some drugs and was told to come for TVS (folliculometry).on the scan day 9 which was the first day I went for the scan due to my short period I have to matured follicles one is 22mm and the other is around 17mm. The dr as me to BD that night and every other days.i was told to come back next two days .on getting there next two days the follicle is no longer there .and I didn't get pregnant. My husband is ok.just bothered. Has anyone experience this.
What drugs were you given?

You have to attack PCOS from all corners. A combination of weightloss, diet change (eliminating sugar and carbs), inositol(supplement) and metformin (orthodox) should help.

Good day mum's. My baby (girl), 3 weeks old, sleeps well during the day but cries most of the night.
I think it's normal but my wife is getting worried.
We make sure she's not hungry nor hot, change diaper, yet she cries almost every 30 mins throughout the night.
What can we do to make her sleep well at night?
At that age, they aren't expected to sleep throughout the night. She's still supposed to be fed every 2 hours (if on breastmilk only or 3hrs on formula). If she's fed and not hot due too many layers of clothing and you cuddle her and she's still crying uncontrollably, then it might be colic pain.
Infacol an over the counter medication is recommended for colicky babies.
