When I had my first baby, one of my cousins was legit upset that I didn't disclose my edd. Like seriously? I changed it for her and asked if she was my doctor abi she planned to come and do omugwo. When I invited her for my baby's dedication 3months later, I still referred her back to her edd nonsense and asked now after all the ranting, have you picked up your phone to call or text to check on us? I told her I was only inviting her cause I just have to since I'm inviting everyone else. That was the only time she ever visited me and we live like 20minutes away.

This is not true. The Expected delivery date is calculated from the first day of her last menstrual flow. Which is definitely before January 7. The baby may or may not be his. But you cant judge from the date they had sex.

Fetal test analysis is more like carrying out a DNA test for an unborn child...

Someone close to me had a cs in september 2018 by april 2019 she diacovered she was pregnant, she had her baby october 2019 via normal delivery. Though i have no idea what vbac stands for but i think a month short isnt too bad.

Well, me that is monitoring spirit. You will not even try it. You cant possibly come to my bag to collect anything. Apart from during delivery, they dont have access to anything. During my sister's time, i stand there when they are even bathing the baby and wait. For my own baby, since they dont allow us in, i give exactly what they need. I cut out cotton wool sef. Come and still na let me see you. You cannot bath my baby and not return the items i give you. You dare not. I still have the olive oil they used for my baby.

Mama its not just rationing but they didnt specify sizes like I've seen some hospital lists do, they will write 1 large this, 1 large that. To cap it I asked my doctor on Saturday he said any size .

Its the first time so I don't want to overdo and underdo plus I don't know what I'll be coming home with.

Its not like you are leaving your bag for them while in the hospital. They usually request what they need and return it after each use. How will they now steal it biko? As long as you dont end up rebuying what you have at home at ridiculous prices

i wonder too ooo, but a group i belong too most of the mums there used GH and they all commented that their complications were managed well, which is making me consider GH, not that one prays for complication but just to know in case anything happens one is in good hands.

I use Luth and funny enough the most stressful part is just the 1st day of registration ANC is not bad at all just that if your folder is selected for review by the student Dr's you go tey there no be small, plus the nurses are polite to my surprise but i was discouraged by their wards as in the condition is nothing to write home about, though they said their main block is under renovation so they just have a make-shift ward but still i am not comfortable with it at all

I guess some are really good, depending on location. Same with private too. There are very good ones and then terrible ones too. I changed hospitals twice before settling for the one i had my baby based on reviews. I cant experiment with my life or my babys'. The final busstop, about 4 of my colleagues had their babies there. The last person was my direct supervisor, infact she suddenly started bleeding profusely in the office. We were so scared. The way they handled the emergency promptly was top notch. The owner of the place is even a gynaecologist.
I can try general hospitals with specific good recommendations, not just because its a general hospital but because people have used that particular one and recommend it

I didn't pay. Hmo paid (i have comprehensive hmo from work). But i like their services. I changed hospital twice before i settled with that one. And i dont regret it at all. As long as i dont pay, wetin comcern me. The amount includes feeding and accommodation not just delivery o. Me that was/is using hmo, I'm entitled to private ward, feeding (they even call to give menu to pick from, lol). Its far from my house though but thats where i registered my daughter too. The lady that paid 630k for cs had to deposit 300k before they even started

When i had my baby in dec 2020. It was about 160k for normal there though i used hmo so i didn't pay. A lady i met there paid about 630k for cs. Antenatal is around 65k. Dont know about now

It's not about the cost and General hospital is no more cheap o....just 2 days there and we spent about 98k for normal delivery excluding the money for registration that I have paid b4 and compulsory blood donation. I used a private hospital that was expensive for my last pregnancy and my case was not handled well that I lost that pregnancy at 16weeks, I was bleeding heavily for close to a month...that's was why I had to use General hospital this time enduring all the stress from registration to antenatal days because I dnt want a repeat of what happened the last time. They have more doctors with different level of experience to manage every case.
Like the pregnant woman that died...she was referred to General hospital from a private hospital she was using when they could not handle her case but it was already late.

Well, to each his own. If you describe that 'horrible' experience as ok, what can i say. The important thing is thank God for a successful delivery.

Well I'm 37 weeks today and baby is XX but I need to get some things. Money is a big factor and my last pregnancy so I'm not enthusiastic in buying things.
Like Is new Iron wrapper and Oja necessary or should use the old one I used for last baby? New plastic drawer or to use the one I used for two children. To get new bath set or use the ones at home? Since it's a 1st girl child , I bought clothes flannel, shawl , caps and baby bed, all new.

Since you have most things from previous pregnancies, why waste money on new ones? Except they are bad, i dont think getting new ones is advicable especially in this horrible economy

d part u said "adding money to bribe nurse" got me laughing.... Pushing pad inside u is normal... Dey do it 4 every women that give birth to pack blood frm d womb... Part of d reason y dey ask u to bring maternity pad wit u to d hospital so as 4 mother not to ve retain blood... I remember well frm my experience wen i shouted at d nurse wen she ws about to shove d pad inside me... She den shouted bk dt do u want me to leave retain product inside u... I ans no... She said its problem to ve retain product, so she had to clean in n out of me... Private dont ignore patients but u c general hospital, d stories i do heard frm dt place is horrifying...

With all these stories from general hospital, why do people still say they are better than private? I really dont get it. She even said she was screaming while being stiched. Does it mean they dont numb the area before stitch. I cant be reading all these weird things abd still carry myself to general hospital.....from stress of registration due to crowd to spending the whole day for antenatal to delivery stress. Not to talk of if theres an emergency. Except maybe for the cost

Please dont be depressed biko. Since you are giving nan, you have to give water to avoid constipation.

For your cs, please rest well, avoid strenous work and avoid carrying things that are heavy. You will be fine. You might feel numb in the area for a while but it will eventually go. I didn't do anything to my tummy. It went in on its own.

I did not give my baby any drug not prescribed, so i dont know what to say about abidec or ampiclox cause i never used them

I learnt taking coke will help with it. That's why most doctors would advice you not be quick to sit up after cs. In my case it was till next morning before i was allowed to raise my head

Its terrible. I remember when i was staying with my uncle after graduation. He always left us (me and his children) and go to the village. The day his son tried this nonsense, i gave them 8am to leave the house or i will report. They thought i was joking. By 8am, they were still relaxed, i just locked the house and went to my Aunty's shop with the keys. He kept calling that he had an exam that day. I told him to call his mum to bring key for him as i wont take that nonsense. Las las, he reported himself and my Aunty came, its within same state. She chased the boy and the girl away, they had to use the bedsheets to cover themselves while running.
