What effontery!!!

Andrew Yakubu wey suppose dey rot in jail as we speak. Our judiciary are complicit in all these corruption cases.

Thieves go dey sue government agencies on top loots and slush funds. Money wey dem no fit explain. This kain rubbish only happens in Nigeria.
The issue is the law; in the USA and UK, the law is clear the accused must prove that he earned $9.8 million or else he loses. Now if that law was introduced, all Nigerian politicians would be imprisoned.

Typical Igbo's showing off on infrastructures that the state doesn't need. Anambra and Ebonyi states need road, rail, and electric power stations first before Airports that very few Nigerians can afford.

Madness

The CBN governor has done some extensive damage to the Nigerian economy by pushing this dangote refinery project

Even if it becomes functional, I doubt it can alleviate the suffering of Nigerians. Dangote has not been able to make affordable cement available to Nigerians which has increased cost of housing in every city....why should we trust him with making petroleum availablehuh??
Dangote has built his wealth on the government had out, OBJ /Atiku/El Rufai privatisation program gave him the cement factories for nothing, and now his refinery is nothing without government handouts and subsidies.

It is massive progress.

Definitely not all of them will end up in foreign land. Some will remain here.

The money they send home help their families to train more of their siblings in school where there is no free education.

The properties they develop will cut across labour supply, creating jobs to several people.

The tenement rate the pay for those properties to their state governments will improve state IGR.

This is massive progress my friend.

Don't look at it from one angle.
So training your youths to work in another country is progress. Training Nigerian to work in another country is a waste of a generation, especially if the youth is needed in Nigeria. Nigerians are making the UK healthy, while Nigerians are unhealthy.

Now if you said Nigerian businesses were building bridges and schools in the UK using Nigerian professionals, then I would call that progress as our youth will be exploited in the interest of Nigeria.

They should focus in producing quality nurses.

This is goldmine in health care abroad.

The Philippines and Indians export their nurses abroad and they send huge forex to their countries.
Is that progress?

Exporting labour is not progress when there is a need for good nurses and doctors in Nigeria. All the remittance that Nigerian send back to Nigeria has done nothing for Nigeria's developed except for importing foreign goods.

We have always questioned which of the three levels of government is most to blame for the hardships and sufferings that Nigeria as a nation endures.

Is it correct to state that our governors truly have the best interests of the people in heart after this assessment of Okowa's huge severance, which is currently making the rounds on the internet?

Okowa is entitled to a fully furnished duplex in Delta State or any other state in Nigeria, as well as medical treatment for himself and his immediate family, two vehicles per year, including a utility vehicle, two armed police officers, and one Department of State Security official.

15 days of annual vacation in any location of his choice, as well as additional incentives. Similar benefits are available to the deputy governor.

The law stipulates that ex-governors receive allowances and other perks valued at N50 million each year.
Okowa was once a medical doctor

savcy:
The states and LGs are completely useless, but poverty in the country currently is all on Buhari, due to poorly executed policies, and some out rightly nonsensical and inconsiderate. Closing of borders, devaluing the naira, raising VAT, increasing every port duty and levy imaginable, etc. This is all on President Muhammadu Buhari.
Raising VAT, increasing every port duty and levy imaginable are actually very good policies, Nigeria import more than they produce and high tariff and duties should discourage import and encourage investment in production.

How do you explain the import of second hand cloths from USA and Europe , when Nigeria once employed 400,000 in the textile industry in Kano and Kaduna.

Local institution bought over with money, tribalism, and religious sentiments,

The solution to all these squabbles:

Since, they enemies of this country are after the oil money and not the betterment of the country, the solution is to STOP oil activities in our land and water ways,

Let the president rule and focus on other means of generating revenues, then the central will become less lucrative,

By so doing, we will put an end to tribal and religious war
We cannot do away with tribalism; that is our cultural makeup, its like asking Nigerians to do away with religion.

The blame should go their parents. The parents of those Igbo youths insulting Prof failed their children not Prof. They do not even appreciate any good done to them.

They never told them about Wole Soyinka, Fajuyi, Victor Banjo and Yoruba landlords who returned their rents and properties to them after the Nigerian civil war.Their parents fed them with hate and victim mentality even in a land they are critical stakeholders. Today, the Igbo has gone from being one of the big 3 to become number 5 behind Hausa, Yoruba,Fulani and Ijaw.

Hopefully, Reno will help educate them so they can tell their own children that they were wrongly indoctrinated to hate others. The Igbo youths brought up well to be self confident and love other Nigerians, I salute you and your parents.

People should see the hypocrisy of the Ibo people.

They will lie that they are supporting Obi not because of tribe but yet anytime a Yoruba man speak against their candidate, they start accusing the person of tribalism and etc.

Why did Charley boy compare Soyinka to Achebe if not for tribalism? The hateful Chimamanda also mentioned he supported Obi because he is Ibo but if a Yoruba man says that we won’t hear word online again.

In all this, I’ve not seen the useless Falz and Marcaroni come out to condemn this assault on our living legend, but the useless guys will be online to cry about tribalism when a Yoruba celeb give it to these guys hot.
The reason why Falz and Macaroni is because the quality of Yoruba's political leaders is shockingly poor, Tinubu lead APC will be the destruction of the Yoruba race if we are not care.

Soyinka will always be Nigeria's hero and intellectual. Soyinka condemned Tinubu and Atiku and also condemned the ethnic attacks in Lagos state but the selected reasoning of the Igbo are only interested in looking for a Yoruba scapegoat for the loss or thief to Tinubu and APC.

I pity the woke and liberal forming yorubas joining these unculutured, mannerless, immoral set of headless mob without home training to bring down Yoruba heroes. Headless mob that have no repect for anyone, not their king, or their leaders.. Not even their parents; that they wake up every morning with kick.

I pity the Yoruba parent who are allowing people from 'other places' to alter, deceive, mislead their children into bringing down the Yoruba leaders.

I pity the yoruba youth; because of internet validation, likes, shares, clout, followership are conniving with 'others' to malign, insults, cancel our elders one after the others. I see some of them on twitter even supporting the motion that says Soyinka cant lace Chinua Achebe's shoes. Very funny.

I pity for the future of the southwest. We are not grooming people like MKO, Awolowo, Tinubu, Soyinka, Fela and the other symbol of Leadership anymore. Instead we are growing weaklings, soft headed, feeble hearted kids like falz, like macaroni and a whole bunch of others with the mentality of 'I am yoruba but i dont think in yoruba' .. who are conniving with 'outsiders' to desecrate our heritage and culture; Which sprang up the philosophy and cultural concept 'Omoluabi' and 'Karo ojire' ..

It is respect, it is honour, it is our pride. It is why we are yorubas, it is why we are always ahead of all of them. It is what make us different. Unique. Distinctive.

I wish these little kids can understand. I wish it wont be too late before they do.

Hypocrisy is the name

GEJ was and is a coward. Sanusis (CBN Governor ), Iwella (Finance Minister) and Alison-Madueke (Petroleum) all provided valid arguments that Oil subsidies MUST be removed and the saving invested in refineries and infrastructure.

The Nigeria Labour Congress, Falana, Oshimole, and APC (Tinubu & Buhari ) provided their argument, but the cowards GEJ decided to side with Buhari and Tinubu because he was afraid of street protest.

Despite the billions that Nigeria earned under GEJ, he did not attempt to build or repair the existing refineries, and GEJ did not attempt to decentralise electricity by removing it from the exclusive list.

APC and PDP are both useless and I doubt LP will be any better, but I am please that they are a 3rd force.

I left Nigeria as a teenager with O/L, A/L and two years of university education from UI. It was easy to work as a kitchen porter, cleaner and warehouse worker because I had no inhibition to dirty and hard work, and I was young, ambitious and educated. I shared a room with my younger brother and had no overhead except sending money to my mother and grandmother in Nigeria.

The situation in Western Europe is quite different; the cost of living is very high, their economies could be doing better, and your income will struggle to sustain a family even as a professional.

I will only advise educated single people under the age of 35 to Japa.
