I was at CCT last week saturday wen pastor vic prayed for me and bless my anointing oil I came bck wit it and keep praying wit it and also I used it to annoint my self everyday b4 going to work.my story goes like dis I work wit a company as a contract staff,some few months back I received a news dat my name was among dose dat has been fowarded for conversion to permanent staff and u knw wat comes along wit it increase in salary and u are sure ur job is safe.so 2days ago some of ma colleagues were called to come pick up they confirmation letter,they were askd to report to our hr office to pick up they letter,I was wondering why was I nt part of this pple,nt dat I was not among the best staff,I kept quiet they came bck there were all happy I pretend I didn't see them but inside me I was nt happy,they ask me if I have collected mine I said nt yet,but I was down I continue my work.Dat same evening our superior came to me and speak to me in our native language so that the pple around me will nt understand the message he was trying to pass accross to me he said I am going to pick up my leta tomorrow, first I was shock,bt still doubting him dat he must be kiddin when orda have collected they own leta today while is mine tomorrow,somtin inside me said keep quiet and belive I nw said ok have heard.so dat same day I went to met one of our manager I inquire fr him that why was my name not on the list of those dat were confirmed he said that there was an omission dat it was a mistake that I will pick ma letter tomorrow dat also help me strengthen ma faith dat day I now left his office.But I make sure I use d anointing oil everyday b4 going to work and I also pray wit it,the next day I resume work I was on ma sit when one of our manager came to me and said I should go and see the Human resource manager and when I get dey d lady said are u so and so oh come fill some forms afta fillin d forms, she gave me my appointment letter I was speechless I said can dis be true so pple of God dat was hw I was confirmed a permanent staff I tank God for pastor vic and his prayers upon me because d devil remove ma name from dat list but God show himself by proving to him dat wat ever dat is written is written I am so happy because as I speak my salary has been increase am so happy for dis great miracles d lord has done for me.All I can say is tank u lord for puttin the devil to shame through the prayers and the blessed anointing oil of pastor vic.I know the lord will take me fr dis positon to anoda level he has nt finished wit me yet he is jst starting Tank u lord and the good lord dat did mine will surely bless u all.

Never believed someone cud speak my mind just like you did. When I got to joburg I was so surprise dat I named a street (De Villiers) Idumota. Cos you wud hear all sort of Nigerian language especially igbo.

I just settled in easily cos I was born and bread in Lagos... I hustled all through my life so adapting in a foreign land wasn't so hard but it was difficult cos its still a foreign land.

I can beat my chest dat some of you guys reading dis post wouldn't survive for 3 months cos the life here is just like a bullet train... Before you say "Jack" its month end and landlord will chase u out if you don't pay and will also seize ur property ( dat na if you have any).

You pay about 40k naira for just a room and its monthly.

I can't want to come back to my darling Lagos.

Nigerians representing us all over...Joburg majorly Igbos, in fact some South African women who live and has interacted with Nigerians will greet you in Igbo. Come to Pretoria Sunnyside, its Yoruba all the way...Centurion, Midrand and its environs Edo guys with heavy pidgin and edo accents...I love my people..

I laughed out loud at the part of landlord chasing you or ceasing properties.. SA just like any country has its good sides...work your way through, my best bet is academics, get your PR and you start paying bond on your own home...

I lived all my life in Lag, went to varsity in Delta and served in Oyo. I remember vividly after staying in Delta State for 6 straight months and then decided to travel back to Lag, when I got to the famous Ojota, o boy! I didn't understand what was happening. I remember asking myself-"why all this noise" and rush?
'Cos in Ibusa, when you want to board a bus to Asaba or Onitsha, the bus driver will be so patient, in fact even wait for you to finish taking your bath and no one in the bus will complain. Try that in Lagos!

I stood by Ojota waiting for a bus to Mile 2, I heard a 'conductor' calling something, but really I didn't understand...ha! Shey no bus to Mile 2 ni? Until I asked another agbero, he called me a JJC and pointed to a bus directly in front of me...I laughed eh...

The hustles of Lag, may leave you for a while maybe when you relocate, but the true spirit of Lagos never leaves...Lagos's spirit is with me when I visit MTN taxi Rank in Johannesburg, Joburg as we call it, reminds me so much of Lagos, just like Lag, you can buy everything off the streets, from vegetables, to pomo to seasoning, to china clothes, okrika clothes, Plasma TVs, EVERYTHING at cheap prices. Joburg is worse than so many places in Lagos...if you think we have good pickpockets in Lagos, wait till you vist Joburg town...I'm always on guard anytime I find myself in Joburg..'Cos I've lived in Lagos all my life!!

Devil knows what he stand to lose if he should allow you to receive answer to your prayers. When you pray God hear you and immediately answer you back, so know that God is not a wicked God.

Our Lord Jesus Christ who is our Shepherd, our Role Model, our Redeemer as powerful and mighty as He is, He was tested by the devil after He had fast for forty days and forty night. Devil know the implication and the damages Jesus will pose to Him after fasting Forty days and forty night and to God be the glory he was defeated by the spoken word.

So whenever you feel tempted to go back to the past, that urge and craving for that ungodly things or act, whenever doubt want to come in stand your ground and speak the word into your situation and ask God for His grace and strength to bear it through.

So don't give the devil the chance to deny you, your blessing

Street kids popularly called 'haita' will beg you for food even inside your grocery bag I tell u...you'll find them virtually everywhere, you want to park - they are there waving hands to park you cos of 2rand if you try leaving without giving them 2 rand hmmm...you go grocery shopping they are there standing at entrances, and begging for what you bought..seesi(sister or so) please man, please bread...its crazy!! Imagine if you went out to get food for you and family and you start giving every 'haita' you meet...you'll wld most definitely be dead by now from hunger! Mxm!

Hello ebankole and Johnwell, very nice thread. After reading through, I told myself I was going to remember and write my dreams.

Today, I had a very confusing dream.
Scene 1

As I ws walking, I then saw somebody I used to hear about in school(university) but never saw him. His name was Gbemudu. I heard he was a criminal in school, but I never saw him in school. Anyway, Gbemudu called me so I went to him in the dream, then he told me he wanted weed. I said to him ok, let me go get it. I went back to get the weed, came back, I think I didn't see Gbemudu again, but saw another person. Who told me they wanted more.

I cannot remember all that happenned anymore, but what I remember is that I was naked, and could only tie about my body with a towel..the towel is pink and loos like the one I presently use at home.

As I was walking still tying the towel around my body, I then saw another guy. Who I knew from school(university) too, he used to stay in Gbemudu's hostel, so he knew Gbemudu, so I called out to him, Uba, pls I need to see u. It happened that Uba was inside a church and was sitting on a seat that looked like a wheelchair, so I asked him why he was on a wheelchair, anyway, I asked for Gbemudu's number, I think Uba was asking why I wanted Gebmudu's number, but I think he gave it to me...

Ok, my parents enrolled me at this secondary school cos my cousin attends same school. It was an only girls' school.

My cousin and her friends were always bullying me for whatever reasons, we were all classmates.

Anyways, one day after school during after-school lessons, my cousin as usual made jest of me in class, so everyone was laughing...already in my mind I knew it was the day of reckoning... At first while peeps were laughing I was so close to tears, so I ran out and informed my then chemistry teacher, who told me and I quote: "why will you allow your mate make jest of you and you come to me crying. What do you expect I do?"

So, I went back to the class with so much shame. This time I was determined to put a stop to it, even if someone died.

Just before I was about to sit, my cousin appeared in front of me, took off my beret and hit me with it, asking where I went, and everyone as usual were watching and laughing..'Ai! I felt humiliated...all of a sudden the devil within me erupted. I didn't know where I drew courage from, I picked up my desk, and hit it on her. My cousin fell and went unconscious..it was the happiest day of my life..See everyone running for help, she was taken to the sick bay, and brought back to life....principal surmoned me, I explained that I had first reported to Chemistry teacher, and he told me he cldnt help me, So I did what I felt was right. Our parents were called, cos I never told anyone at home, my mom was shocked.

After then, nobody, I mean nobody dared speak to me rudely..include her and her goons. I earned respect amongst my peers and made loads of frnds too. In fact I was popular...lol
