90% of Nigerians have a mental disorder, ranging from all sorts of issues like superstition, bigotry, hate, hypocrisy, and dumbness.i think the practice of democracy in Nigeria should be reversed because the mental balance of Nigerians are at stake.in Nigeria we see atrocities and corruption perpetrated by APC government and we see Nigerians including the well learned ones we ought to look up to defend these activities and corrupt tendencies with their whole mind.we see mass corruption pepertrated in PDP led states, journalists arrested without trials, even recently a pastor was flogged in ebonyi state which is a PDP state for just critisicm of a local government chairman for an abusive act he did.and he receiving flogging.yet you see people come out to justify this acts.we saw recently a governor in one of the opposition states brazenly demolish a hotel and cooked up fake lies to justify his act yet people supported him.infact those supporting the ruling party and the opposition members are all insane and confused.nigerians can't be trusted with democracy powers.i think we should go back to colonial rule,I just pray someday God will bless my Hussle and I will proudly be a Canadian citizen.from there I will watch Nigerians continue to degenerate.am so ashamed of been a Nigerian it's so painful. |

The people that make up the country called Nigeria are the most hypocritical and foolish people on earth.in Nigeria despite it rich resources and potential the country is locked in a perpetual state of under development.to make matter worst the people of Nigeria had been so bullied, oppressed, and scammed to the extent that they don't know they are suffering.infact they are used to lamenting suffering and smiling.if you try to draw the shortcomings of government and their ineffectiveness they will quickly forget their current predicament and come together as a united foe and attack the person who tries to draw their attention to where the government had failed.they will immediately call you Igbo, ipob, biafra and remind you of your party either pdp or apc even those that are so against biafrans from the northern part of the country are those suffering the most.anybody who tries to lead a new movement to librate Nigerians is just wasting his time because Nigerians are used to and destined for suffering and not worth sacrificing for. |

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has been criticised for posing for photos with strangers despite telling people to keep their distance to reduce the spread of coronavirus. A video shows Mr Ramaphosa joking about breaking social distancing rules after two women asked him for the photo. He is heard saying "come, before we get arrested", prompting laughter. On Sunday the country reported 1,160 new coronavirus infections - the highest daily numbers yet. South Africa has had some of the strictest lockdown measures in the world, including a ban on cigarettes and alcohol, but is now easing some restrictions. The country has the highest number of cases of Covid-19 in Africa - 15,515, with 264 deaths. However, Egypt and Algeria have had more fatalities, with more than 500 each. The video was posted on Twitter on Sunday by journalist Nwabisa Makunga who said the incident happened outside her window. Skip Twitter post by @nwabisa_mak While busy reading about #Trump’s psychotic rule this morning, I hear someone shouting outside my window..”Good morning Mr President, we love you!” @CyrilRamaphosa pic.twitter.com/UXAuPodAcC — Nwabisa Makunga (@nwabisa_mak) May 17, 2020 Report End of Twitter post by @nwabisa_mak It appears Mr Ramaphosa, known for his love of outdoor exercise, was going for a walk or a jog when the women approached him. Although they do not shake hands, but bump elbows, the two women then posed for a photo standing right next to the president, disregarding official advice to keep at least two metres away from people from different households. An article reproduced on a government website about social distancing explains that "one needs to avoid handshakes, hugs and other forms of direct contact as well as keeping a distance of at least two metres from others". After joking about being arrested, Mr Ramaphosa says: "I'd rather be arrested with you." South Africa's security forces have been accused of brutality while enforcing the lockdown restrictions.

Lockdown in Panama is strictly enforced, with men allowed out one day and women the next. But this has been used by some as an excuse to harass members of the trans community. Monica is an excellent cook. Like a lot of people, during the coronavirus lockdown she has been making elaborate meals to distract herself during the long hours spent inside. One Wednesday last month, Monica fancied making some marinated chicken in a rich spicy tomato sauce with rice. She had most of the ingredients already, but needed the chicken. So she left the small detached house near Panama City airport that she shares with her extended family to go to the local corner shop. She passed groups of women on her way, some of them linking arms with their children. It was quieter than usual in the neighbourhood, as the government had just introduced a new measure to curb the spread of coronavirus, allowing women to leave their homes to buy necessities on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and men on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Sundays, everyone has to stay at home. Monica walked into the shop. She knew the Chinese family who ran it well. They adored her. But as she entered, the atmosphere changed. The owner approached her silently, his face not breaking into the smile she was used to seeing. "We can't serve you, Monica," he said. "The police said we can only serve women today. They said, 'No maricon.'" The transphobic term made Monica shudder, but at the same time, it wasn't a complete surprise. The police in her neighbourhood had targeted her before for being a trans woman. Monica started going to school dressed as a girl from the age of 12. She had never felt like a boy, and now she wanted to be open about her identity. Coming out as a girl wouldn't have an impact on her home life - it was hard enough already. "My father was a macho man," Monica says. "He needed no excuse to beat me, my two sisters or our mother." A SIMPLE GUIDE: How do I protect myself? AVOIDING CONTACT: The rules on self-isolation and exercise LOOK-UP TOOL: Check cases in your area MAPS AND CHARTS: Visual guide to the outbreak STRESS: How to look after your mental health Monica gradually began feminising her hair, and wearing closer-fitting clothing. At school she was mocked for her feminine appearance, so she kept to herself. At least she had the friendship of her sisters and the warmth of her mother's love. Then, when she was 14, her father died unexpectedly and the family lost their only source of income. Monica felt she had to support the family. She'd heard that there was an appetite in Panama City for transgender sex workers, and that the money was good. Monica, still a child, decided that would be the best way to provide for her family. At the corner shop, the apologetic owner explained to Monica that it was not his wish to ask her to leave at all. It had come directly from the police. While sex work is legal in Panama, that doesn't mean it comes without stigma, and Monica says the neighbourhood police have taunted her for years, driving past on their motorbikes shouting homophobic and transphobic words as she goes out to work. At 38, she has now been putting up with this for 24 years. "Many trans people work as sex workers here in the city," Monica says. "Is it our first option? No, but it's regular and it means I can look after my family." Since the lockdown began, though, work has come to a halt, and money is increasingly tight. Eight family members share the home. Her two sisters have children, four between them. They're both single, one recently having left an abusive relationship, and aren't working. Neither is Monica's mother. Arriving home from the shop, Monica's phone buzzed with a WhatsApp message. It was the shopkeeper. He said he felt bad he had sent her home empty-handed, and not to worry about sending her sisters out to fetch the chicken, he'd bring it over himself. Monica smiled. There was kindness in her community and that would help during the lockdown. But she didn't want to rely on handouts during the pandemic. She wanted to keep looking after her family. She made a decision to go out the following day - men's day, the day of her biological sex. But this time her experience was even worse. She decided to go to a larger supermarket and get all the supplies they would need for a couple of weeks. When she arrived she joined the queue to get in, but it was worryingly long. Under the rules of Panama's lockdown each person is allowed out three days per week, but even on those days they can only leave the house for two hours at a time, depending on their postcode. Monica waited in the queue of men, who smirked as they saw her. Time was ticking down. Then the two hours were up. Almost at that very moment, six police officers approached Monica, singling her out in the long queue. "They told me that I was now outside my time limit for going to the shops," she says. "They began to do a body search on me. One of them squeezed my breasts in the search and said, laughing, 'You're not a woman,' and repeated a transphobic slur." Everyone looked away and did nothing. Monica had never felt more alone. "The gendered days in Panama mean the trans community are damned if they do and damned if they don't," says Cristian González Cabrera of Human Rights Watch. "We have spoken to more cases like Monica's. It sadly isn't an isolated incident." The Panamanian Association of Trans People says that since the gendered days have begun, more than 40 people have got in touch with them to say they have been harassed when going to supermarkets or buying medicine. In early May, authorities in Colombia's capital Bogotá, decided to lift gender-based restrictions, after LGBT groups said the days discriminated against trans people. Following an open letter by Human Rights Watch to the Panama presidency, citing mistreatment of trans people by Panama police, Panama's Ministry of Public Security released a statement this week saying that it had "instructed the security forces to avoid any type of discrimination against the LGBTI population" during lockdown. "This is a welcome step that should be commended," says Cristian González Cabrera. However, he says it's unclear what "avoiding discrimination" means - and when exactly trans people are allowed out of the house. "We are dealing with a historically marginalised population in the country and so the statement is not clear enough." Monica isn't convinced she can trust the ministry's assurances. She went out to the bank after the statement was released - on a day that women were allowed to leave home - and a police officer approached her. "I would go home if I were you," he told her. "I'm saying this out of love, but you are not supposed to be out today." The BBC asked Panama's Ministry of Public Security to comment, but they didn't respond. "I don't know what to do. When do I go out?" Monica asks. "I'm not trying to fool anyone. I just want to be able to take care of my family."

I have said it,and I will still say it again.lawyers are a very big problem in Nigeria and they have contributed to our crash as a nation.in Nigeria you see lawyers doing all soughts of dirty works and saying all sought of lies just to cover their client tracks.prominent example include those SANS who defended buhari waec certificate, uzor kalu trial, kidnapper Evans, and more recently the guy who killed his little niece for money rituals in Port Harcourt got evil lawyers defending him and even wants the case appealed despite overwhelming evidence both in court and beyond that the guy and his collaborator killed and mutilated his seven year old niece.we also have lawyers participating in evil schemes and frames e.g yemi osinbajo, gov wike who demolished 2 hotels and tried to cover his act with all sorts of concorted lies.infact lawyers had become a perfect tools in pepetrating evil because they are ready to defend you just as your rottweiler will do even if you are caught with 100 human heads with you in you car.if nigeria finally crumble as a nation lawyers played a big role in it's crash.nairalanders do you agree with me. |

Humanity first left the solar system in 2012 when the Voyager 1 probe passed into interstellar space decades after leaving the planets behind. Now, there’s a second spacecraft beyond the limits of our solar system: Voyager 2. Luckily, Voyager 2’s instruments are in somewhat better shape than Voyager 1’s, so scientists were able to observe the transition from the heliosphere, which is dominated by the sun, to the interstellar medium (ISM). Both Voyager probes launched in 1977, with Voyager 2 heading into space a few weeks before Voyager 1. The two probes are physically identical, but they took different paths through the solar system. They took advantage of the “Grand Tour,” an alignment of the planets that occurs only once every 175 years. Voyager 1 visited and got gravity assists from Jupiter and Saturn before heading off toward the edge of the solar system. Voyager 2 swung past Jupter, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus. It made its last planetary observation of Uranus in 1989, almost a decade after Voyager 1 had started its long march toward the edge of the solar system. When Voyager 1 reached the edge of our solar system, known as the heliopause, it no longer had a functional plasma spectrometer. As a result, there was some debate about when, exactly, the probe left our solar system. So, we missed the expected transition from warm solar plasma to the denser cold plasma of the ISM. Eventually, measurements of local electrons and magnetic field shifts confirmed it was in interstellar space. Voyager 2 has just sent back data proving that it has also crossed the heliopause, and it had a fully functional plasma spectrometer. The transition happened about a year ago in November 2018, and the changeover was roughly in-line with what scientists expected based on Voyager 1’s indirect readings. As Voyager 2 crossed from the heliosphere to the ISM, it detected a 20-fold increase in plasma density. The approximate positions of Voyager 1 and 2. Voyager 1 and 2 crossed the heliopause at roughly the same distance from the sun, 121.6 AU and 119 AU, respectively. However, their exit points were about 150 AU apart. Scientists are studying the discrepancies in the data in hopes of gaining a better understanding of the boundary between our solar system and the wider galaxy. For example, Voyager 2 detected a continuous change in magnetic field directions as it crossed into the ISM, whereas Voyager 1 did not. Voyager 2 has also continued to see low-energy particles from the sun in the ISM, but Voyager 1 didn’t. It will be some time before we have more data to study. The only functional probe that has any hope of reaching the heliopause is New Horizons, which is currently flying through the Kuiper Belt. It could leave the solar system around 2040, but we don’t know if it will maintain communication with Earth that long.
