The thinking is that the momentum being carried from the Edo victory will embolden that segment of Lagos voters to come out and embolden their South West neighbors to also come out deal a decisive defeat on Tinubu and his candidate.

Governor Obaseki is said to be particularly irked by the arrogance of Mr. Tinubu treating the upcoming election as a coronation for the APC candidate Mr. Abiru who uptill now was assumed would simply walk into the office. Tribalism can never be removed from politics. Core/real Lagosians see it as a duty to preserve the sanctity of the party in the state. The majority of votes that PDP gets in Lagos usually comes from non indigenes

I watched one of the best series ever, Jack Ryan and the American Air Force officers were at their base in America and had some drones in Syria. The outcome of Edo election has no bearing on Ondo election. When APC lost Ekiti in 2014 to Fayose, the party restrategized and won Osun a month later despite the heavy handedness of Jonathan in that election.

APC's major problem in Ondo is the internal wraggling within the party. As things stands now, they have been able to achieve about 90% reconciliation. The outcome of Edo will even push them to unite and for more for the party. The fact that the current deouty governor is contesting is also a plus to APC. Those opposed to the governor's re-election will share their votes between Jedege and Agboola. I can't see a path to victory for PDP in Ondo election.

Wonderful reply to the man Sir, he doesn't understand the situation is completely different. We the educated majority in the South have started gathering our sense small small. First we are destroying God fatherism at the state level, next will be to destroy illiteracy at the federal/ national level. Nigerians collectively say no to Godfathers, Failed leaders, Illiterates and Stooges. We want Good, Educated and Credible leaders that will make Nigeria the Country of our dreams. Every election is local. The current dynamics favored Obaseki so it was very easy for him to win. Lagos is a different place altogether. It is the best administered state in Nigeria. There is no reason to vote out a performing party.

Ambode is not a coward, the whole APC structure is not supporting him including his cabinet members, civil servants and his deputy. Obaseki had some party members, most of his cabinet, civil servant/pensioners and his deputy support including support from all PDP and some APC Governors.
