I personally don't see anything wrong with the remunerations of the ED's. As long as the banks are operating profitably, then there's no problem. By the way, what percentage of Nigerians do you think earn between 50 million to 120 million a year? 3 percent or five percent or more? |
Truth |
ridwanayo:That's a lie. |
The OP is a hundred percent right. The budget is nothing but a fiscal plan. It shows what the government plans to do with the money it receives or earns(its revenues) for a year. The government forecasts how much they will earn for the coming and lists projects and programmes they will the money they received on. Like Mike Tyson once said "Everybody has plan until they get punched in the face" Implementing the budget is key. So many factors may scuttle the implementation of a budget. The government may be wrong on forecasted revenues, that is, the amount of money they hoped to earn that year. If its smaller than what they hoped for, the budget may not be implemented maximally. If there was a full resurgence of militancy in the Niger Delta region and our oil output was cut short by over fifty percent, the budget won't be implemented. That's a fact. If inflation increases by 10 percent, the budget won't be implement properly. Etc In a country llike Nigeria with so much uncertainty and risks, celebrating the signing of a budget is a waste of time. |
Is there anything in Nigeria that is not a ticking time bomb? When you create states for no other reason than to increase the spread of injustice, this is what you get. States like Ekiti, Ebonyi, Abia, and over 20 others especially in the north have no business being in existence as states. The fact is that if Nigeria had no oil, these states would not have being created because there would have been no means to sustain them. Apart from Nigeria, I don't know of any other african country that has over thirty states or provinces. Injustice is a very big problem in this country. |
Project detail is quite scanty. This may be because they're yet to reach the financial and close for the project. Nobody wants to invest in Nigeria at the moment, the country is bad business. |
The national assembly is not a medium through which critical problems hindering this country can be solved. The nigerian national assembly is nothing but a conduit pipe, an avenue to steal and seize scarce resources. Like I said in an earlier thread, the avengers are doing a good job. Their method of agitation is the only effective method known to the Nigerian government. The government should acceppt their demands or the bombings continue. |
This means they are about to embark on strike. Meanwhile Buhari is Nigeria's 10th consecutive failed head of state. 1. Shagari, 2.Gen Buhari, 3. IBB, 4. Shonekan, 5. Abacha, 6. Abdulsalam, 7. Obasanjo, 8. Yar'Adua, 9. Goodluck and now 10. Buhari... Congratulations to Mr Buhari. |
The avengers are doing a good job. Their demands are simple and highly reasonable, that the federal government call a sovereign national conference bordering on this country's unity. Is anybody afraid of that? How the avengers are going about having their demands met is also quite resonable because the federal government judging from historical antecedents would only respond to acts of violence. It is theonly effective way to get the government to situp and listen. Your comment about Kainji dam is funny. Proceeds from the sales of crude oil drilled from Niger Delta lands has been funding the country for over fourty years. Isn't that something that beat your Kainji Dam argument? Aren't we tired of living like this in this country? The injustice and hypocrisy that is fuelling the corruption and stagnation that has left the country for has to end. Whatever means it takes to achieve justice and fairness in Nigeria is highly welcome. That includes bombing pipelines and oil installations. |
Nigeria is existing in whose interest? |
Bamsupremacy:You must be a fool to think I give a damn about who's the president of this useless country and where he comes from. |
princeattah1:The problem is with people like you who are totally blind to see and understand why Nigeria is in shambles. With shallow minded and ignorant Nigerians like you, this country will remain dead and useless. |
Corruption is not Nigeria's problem. Besides, this Sagay of a man is a shameless and ignorant liar. Buhari is the architect of his misfortunes. That the economy is in shambles today is purely Buhari's fault. It took the dullard six months to appoint ministers. SiX good months. The economy would have been better if the dullard had hit the ground running. That is 1. If he had appointed ministers three weeks after he was sworn in. 2. If he had discarded Jonathans budget and came up with his own budget 3. If he wasn't travelling like a lose bird. The dullard had some goodwill when he was elected - the stock market rallied, there was electricty, the was fuel and his supporters were happpy. People (not me) were expecting change but the dullard blew it away and dashed their hopes. That Buhari's regime has failed and will fail is his fault. “It is, therefore, irrational for anybody with perverse mentality to say that they should bring back corruption. The truth is if Jonathan had won the 2015 election, by now Nigeria would have completely become a failed state like Zimbabwe with huge inflation rate of N10 billion, or probably all of us would have to carry our little belongings to seek refuge in neighbouring countries.I hate when Nigerians call another country a "failed country". You have no right to call another country failed because is Nigeria is also one - a failed country. |
8 million naira fraud and 20 million naira bail. |
Way to go boys. |
Surbway101:There's nothing to envy about Lagos having a high GDP. Its absolutely normal even for a third world city like Lagos. All cities with a population of over 15 million plus have similar GDP figures. What you should be concerned with is the living conditions of Lagos first. Lagos is not really a livable place you know? I've been to Nairobi and Abidjan and I have to admit that Lagos aint better than these places. They're actually more livable than Lagos. This has nothing to do with tribalism. |
Surbway101:What is there to envy? |
BetaThings:I watched the video. They didn't ask any of those. |
tunaguy:Now that's a very foolish question. No offense. |
GDP Isn't everything. |
LOL. Prognosis of a dead and wasted country. Nigerians are not ready for progress and development. |
Have you checked for those other decolonised African states? |
Look at northerners reaping where they did not sow. Injustice has killed this country. |
Stop spreading cheap lies |
Why is the wife hiding her face? |
Idiot. A ragtag thief like Amaechi having the audacity and nerve to reveal confidential documents to foreigners tell a lot. Such acts would not have been tolerated under a more intolerant administration like OBJ's. Amaechi is nothing but a pot-bellied hypocrite. Look at how he left Rivers State in a state of asphyxia. People could no longer breathe. Animal |
You're injecting 320 billion naira into the economy when inflation is at double digits and at a three year high. This woman sef? Why should government be borrowing From banks thereby competing with the private sector for capital? Why aren't you working with the central bank to ensure that there is credit for the real sector? Why are you toying with the finances of the universities (in the name of TSA) when you know they're a highly critical part of the country's development and future? What about the over ambitious budget? Can you achieve that? These are questions that shouldve been asked. |
I find this woman extremely sexy. I had some impure thougths while watching the interview. And she's quite brilliant, she practically schooled and owned the journalists especially the dumb guy with glasses. However, they failed to Ask questions that matter which made it seem like ride. |
texazzpete:Whatever happens in that zoo you call your country and its useless president is none of my damn business. Sane Nigerians indeed. LMAO |
Buhari didn't see it coming. LWKMD |
Change Nigeria? This dead country? Lol. |
