If anyone asks me where I get any of what I said from, I will give the source without hesitation. But from the responses I've been getting so far, it seems like a lot of people aren't interested in the truth. The sources that I have are in Arabic, so I need to know if the people who need the sources can read Arabic. The information I have is from books like Siyar A'laam Al Nubalaa by Al Hafidh Al Dhahabi, Al Tabaqaat by Ibn Sa'ad, Al Isaaba Fi Tamyeez Al Sahaaba, Lisan Al Arab, Fiqh Al Lugha by Al Tha'alabi, Taarikh Al Khulafaa by Al Suyouti, Al Kaamal fi Al Taarikh, and other books.

If it's proven beyond a shadow of doubt that Ali ibn Abi Talib was described the same color that Bilal ibn Abi Rabah was described, would that be enough proof? Everyone knows how pure Ali's blood was. So look at his description in Taarikh Al Khulafaa and Al Tabaqaat and then look at Bilal's description in Siyar A'laam Al Nubalaa and other books and see how they were both described the same color. Abu Dharr Al Ghaffari, who insulted Bilal because his mother was an Ethiopian slave, was also described as black-skinned. You can find this in Siyar A'laam Al Nubalaa. The noble shurafa descendants of Ali ibn Abi Talib were also described as black-skinned. Read the description of Mohamed ibn Abdella ibn Hasan ibn Hasan ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib, who was called An Nafs Al Zakia. He was described as black-skinned. Read the description of his brother Musa Al Jown. Al Jown means the black. He was described as black-skinned. Read the description of Musa Al Kadhim and Ja'afar Al Saadiq. They too were described as black-skinned. Those are the shurafaa, the noble descendants of Ali ibn Abi Talib. They were all described as black-skinned. This is not something that I am making up. All of this is mentioned in the reliable books. All the Muslims have to do is read and stop expecting to learn history from movies on TV.

Concerning how the Arabs became lighter today. It's from the result of mixing with non-Arabs like Romans, Greeks, Persians, etc. This started with the Islamic conquests.

Concerning your question about Adam, I don't quite understand what you mean by "his contemporaries". Adam (AS) was the first man.

Here are the references you asked for for the tafsir of the verses in surat Hijr:

Jalal Eddine Mohamed Ahmed El-Mahalli and Jalal Eddine Abdel Rahman El-Sayouti say in their tafsir of the Quran called Tafsir El-Jalaalain:

“Hama is black mud.” (من حمأ ( طين أسود

Al Tabari says in his tafsir of the Quran:

“As for His words ‘from hama masnoun’, hama is the plural of ham_a which is mud that has been altered to the color black.”
وأما قوله "من حمإ مسنون" فإن الحمأ : جمع حمأة ، وهو الطين المتغير إلى السواد

Mohamed ibn Ali Al-Shawkaani says in his tafsir of the Quran called Fath Al Qadir:

“Hama is black mud; either black mud that has been altered or black mud that hasn’t been altered.
والحمأ: الطين الأسود المتغير. أو الطين الأسود من غير تقييد بالمتغير

Al-Baidawi says in his tafsir:

“From hama” means from mud which was altered and is black.
" من حمإ" طين تغير واسود من طول محاورة الماء

Al-Baghawi says in his tafsir:

“From hama” and hama is black mud.
من حمإ"، والحمأ: الطين الأسود"

Al-Baghawi also said:

“There are some hadith that say that Allah fermented the mud that
Adam was created from and let it sit until it became altered and
black and then He created Adam peace be upon him from it (the black, altered mud).”
وفي بعض الآثار: إن الله عز وجل خمر طينة آدم وتركه حتى صار متغيرا أسود، ثم خلق منه آدم عليه السلام

Ibn al-Qayyim said:
“When the perfection, complete power, all-encompassing knowledge, ever-executed will and utmost wisdom of the Lord decreed that His creation should be of materials of different kinds, and that they should vary in their forms and attributes and natures, His wisdom decreed that He should take a handful of dust from the earth, then mix it with water. So it became like black stinking mud. Then the wind was sent upon it and it dried out, until it became clay like pottery. Then it was given shape and limbs and faculties, and each part of it was given a shape suited to its purpose.” (Tabaayun fi Aqsaam al-Quran, p. 204)

Expaining hama, which is also found in verse 86 of surat El-Kahf, Ibn Kathir says in his tafsir:

Hamia is a lot of ham_a and ham_a means black mud.
" حمئة " أي كثيرة الحمأة وهي الطينة السوداء

Concerning the color of Musa (AS):

Imam Ahmed ibn Hanbal related in his Masnad (hadith number 3365) the following description that the prophet Mohamed (pbuh) gave of Musa’s color:

وَرَأَيْتُ مُوسَى أَسْحَمَ آدَمَ
Musa was jet-black skinned.

Muslim relates in his Sahih Muslim (hadith numbers 239 and 243) that Ibn Abbas said that the prophet Mohamed (pbuh) described Musa’s (Moses’) appearance as follows:

َأَمَّا مُوسَى فَرَجُلٌ آدَمُ جَعْدٌ
As for Musa (Moses), he was black-skinned and kinky-haired. (hadith 243)

قَالَ ذَكَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أُسْرِيَ بِهِ فَقَالَ مُوسَى آدَمُ طُوَالٌ كَأَنَّهُ مِنْ رِجَالِ شَنُوءَةَ
He (Ibn Abbas) said that the prophet (pbuh) mentioned the time he was ascended to the Heavens and he said that Musa (Moses) was black-skinned and tall as if he was from the tribe of Shanuaa. (hadith 239)

Also, Allah says in verse 108 of surat El-Aaraaf:

وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُ فَإِذَا هِيَ بَيْضَاء لِلنَّاظِرِينَ And he drew forth his hand (from his bosom): and lo! it was white for the beholders. [El-Aaraaf- verse 108]

Al-Quortobi says in his tafsir of the verse:

وكان موسى أسمر شديد السمرة
Musa was black-skinned.

The authors of Tafsir Al-Jalalain say in their tafsir of the verse:

(ونزع يده) أخرجها من جيبه (فإذا هي بيضاء) ذات شعاع (للناظرين) خلاف ما كانت عليه من الأدمة
‘He took out his hand’ means that he took his hand out of his pocket. ‘And it was white for the beholders’ means that it was radiant and was no longer black like it was originally.

Al-Tabari says in his tafsir of the verse:

وكان موسى، فيما ذكر لنا، آدم، فجعل الله تحول يده بيضاء من غير برص، له آية
According to what we were told, Musa was black-skinned and Allah made Musa’s hand turning white, without being affected by leprosy, a sign for him.

Al-Baidawi says in his tafsir of the verse:
روي : أنه عليه السلام كان آدم شديد الأدمة ، فأدخل يده في جيبه أو تحت إبطه ثم نزعها فإذا هي بيضاء نورانية غلب شعاعها شعاع الشمس
It is related that Musa (pbuh) was jet-black-skinned. He put his hand in his pocket or under his armpit and took it out and it was white.

Al-Baghawi says in his tafsir of the verse:
وكان موسى آدم ، ثم أدخلها جيبه فصارت كما كان
Musa (Moses) was black-skinned. Then (after withdrawing his hand from his pocket white) he put his hand back in his pocket and it turned back to the color that it was.


Concerning the color of the Arabs:

El-Fadl ibn El-Abbas ibn ‘Utba El-Lahabi said:


وأَنا الأَخْضَرُ، من يَعْرِفُنـي؟
أَخْضَرُ الـجِلْدَةِ فـي بـيتِ العَرَبْ

"I am the green (black) one. Who knows me?
My skin is green (black). I am from the family of the Arabs.

Ibn Mandhor, the author of Lisan Al-Arab says this about the verse:

يقول: أَنا خالص لأَن أَلوان العرب السمرة
“He says that he is a pure Arab because the color of the Arabs is dark.”
In Lisan Al-Arab, Ibn Mandhor also quotes the author of Al-Tahdhib, Saad Al-Din Masud ibn Umar Al-Taftaazaani (1312-1389 A.D.) as saying the following about the verse:

فـي هذا البـيت قولان: أَحدهما أَنه أَراد أَسود الـجلدة؛ قال: قاله أَبو طالب النـحوي، وقـيل: أَراد أَنه من خالص العرب وصميمهم لأَن الغالب علـى أَلوان العرب الأُدْمَةُ،

“There are two sayings about this verse. One is that he meant that he had black skin. This is what Abu Talib El-Nahwi said. It is also said that he meant that he is a pure unmixed Arab because most Arabs are black-skinned.”

Abdella ibn Berry (1106-1187 A.D.), the “King of the Grammarians” as he was called, said the following about the verse:

قال ابن بري: نسب الـجوهري هذا البـيت للهبـي، وهو الفضل بن العباس بن عُتْبَةَ بن أَبـي لَهَبٍ، وأَراد بالـخضرة سمرة لونه، وإِنما يريد بذلك خـلوص نسبه وأَنه عربـي مـحض، لأَن العرب تصف أَلوانها بالسواد وتصف أَلوان العجم بالـحمرة. وفـي الـحديث: بُعثت إِلـى الأَحمر والأَسود؛ وهذا الـمعنى بعينه هو الذي أَراده مسكين الدارمي فـي قوله
أَنا مسكِينٌ لـمن يَعرفنيْ،
لَوْنِـي السُّمْرَةُ أَلوانُ العَرَبْ

"Al-Jawhari attributed this verse to Al-Lahabi and he is Al-Fadl ibn Al-Abbas ibn ‘Utba ibn Abi Lahab and he meant by green the darkness of his complexion and he meant by that the purity of his genealogy and that he was an unmixed Arab because the Arabs describe their color as black and they describe the color of the non-Arabs as red. Like the hadith says, ‘I was sent to the red and the black. And this is exactly what Miskeen El-Darimi meant when he said:
‘I am Miskeen, for those who know me.
My color is brown (dark), the color of the Arabs’”.

Miskeen said this verse to a woman who refused to marry him because of his blackness and his poorness. Miskeen was a pure Arab from the tribe of Darim, which is a branch of Tamim, and he was black-skinned. . .

Are you implying that Musa was black-skinned because he was mixed and that the other Hebrews were light? Read again what the scholars said about the appearance of the original Arabs:

Lisan El-Arab (an old Arabic dictionary) mentions Shamar’s explanation of the hadiths that say that the prophet Mohamed (pbuh) said that he was sent to the blacks and the reds. Shamir explains the hadiths as follows:

قال شمر: يعنـي العرب والعجم والغالب علـى أَلوان العرب السُّمرة والأُدْمَة وعلـى أَلوان العجم البـياض والـحمرة،“He means (by the blacks and the reds) the Arabs and the non-Arabs and the complexion of most Arabs is dark and black and the complexion of most non-Arabs is white and red.”

Ibn Mandhour says in his book Lisan El-Arab:

سبوطة الشعر هي الغالبة علـى شعور العجم من الروم والفرس. و جُعودة الشعر هي الغالبة علـى شعور العرب

“Non-kinky hair is the kind of hair that most non-Arabs like the Romans and Persians have while kinky hair is the kind of hair that most Arabs have.” . . . .

i wonder how two people, two flesh[s] becoming 1 flesh? is it legal for one flesh to suffer the same flesh and not feel the pain, as the man evilly beat his wife without feeling the pain of being in coma? he must be a superman, being in coma and and people are hoping he is sent to jail/prison both at the same time.

Quran is unlike Torah of Moses which has words of Moses and words of Aaron, and words of Joshua and words and disputes of the children of israel. What God revealed to Moses in 40 days, is the 10 commandments. The 10 commandments is nothing compared to the Quran. Only a deceitful soul will say that Torah took 40 days, considering that Moses became a person who God was revealing guidance to from The Burning Bush, all the way to the tests and trials which he had in the palace of pharaoh, extending to the destruction of pharaoh and including the 40 years of the aimless going about and the senseless killing of nations in the wilderness. Is this 40 days if you have a sound mind? Where did you throw the years in Egypt and the 40 years in the wilderness to?

Angel Gabriel is not Hebrew or jew. He is a celestial being, unless if only jews live in Heaven and the Angels are jews?

The Quran asserts that it was the angel Gabriel who recited its contents to Muhammad (Surah 2:97)


2: 97 Say: Whoever is an enemy to Gabriel for he brings down the (revelation) to thy heart by Allah's will a confirmation of what went before and guidance and glad tidings for those who believe.


Hence Muhammad received the Quran SECOND HAND and not directly from Allah.


On the other hand, Moses received the Torah directly ' FACE to FACE' from God. He was after all, not only Rasul'ul Allah and his Prophet but also 'Kalim'ul Allah' - he who talked directly to Allah - while Muhammad was only 'Rasul'ul Allah' - the messenger of Allah.


Moreover, Gabriel is one of the Hebrew angels and is the same angel who predicted the virginal and divine birth of Jesus/Messiah as mentioned in the Gospels of Mathew and Luke.


If Jesus was the predicted REDEEMER of humanity, then why would the same Gabriel turn to another person - Muhammad - to fulfil God's will?

Even 2day i saw one and i walked to him correcting him& he said he would descend on him. Does it mean they don't understand manners.
