You pay her parent to let her come and help you in your home that you will take responsibility of her clothes, education, food and well being.
If you pay ur maid, then she ain't maid to you but employee which you can't keep her after her duty.
If ur pay a nanny, you simply pay her for a specific period of time to take care of ur child/children while you're out and you will never keep ur room open while you are out.


If you pay a cook, it mean her job is to cook.
House help is deaper than that and can easily be your sister or cousin.
Differentiate your point.

A maid is a female servant. Why would you pay her parents? I am not into child labor. I employ only adults.

Househelp is different from employee.
Your househelp is a person that ur brought to ur home to help u on house chores. While employee is the person you pay to do a professional work for you.
House help get access to ur room, kitchen, foods and personal stuff etc.
You can go out and your househelp take charge of the house while you will have to be in the house if you employ some1 to do a work in ur home.
The welfare/wellbeing/needs is ur responsibility while you can choose to be responble to the wellbeing of ur employee after providing enabling environment.

An employee is someone you pay to do some chores. I pay my maid, hence she is my employee. The fact that she works in the house does not change that.

She works on Saturdays. She does not work on Sundays. Being a maid is not a nine to five job. Neither is it a five days a week job. Some employers give their maids one day a month off, others twice. We both prefer once a week. Her day of choice is Sunday.
