Denony, This does not call for abuse and if you want to go down that lane trust me I can make life unbearable for you on Nairaland. It's my opinion and some people with heads and not yam have responded in a civilized manner. I am a Liverpool fan and I know what we are going through with the loss of Suarez. I watched the match but why would anyone not consider what QPR fans did against chelsea in one of their games. Fans can do anything but when a player does the same then I fully support more than what was meted out to Suarez. So use your God given head b4 you talk. |
It is true that for any song to sell in Nigeria there must be a bit of Yoruba in it. Most artiste in Nigeria find it hard to sell without chipping in Yoruba. I think this can be attributed to the ease of learning the language and the fact that it blends with the modern music of today. May be I should consider the fact that most artiste gain their popularity in the predominantly Yoruba region-Lagos For the number of Yorubas out there I don't know but all I know is that I have met a lotof Yorubas and Igbos in the state. The Yorubas are very inelligent while the igbos are enterprising. As for the Hausas, I don't know much |
Mukina, You got it wrong this time. It was not the team but the fans. Mind you it is still speculations and under investigations. People might be using the case of suarez to attract cheap attention. Why the tears? Haba for a full grown man like Adeyemi, To me the guy wants cheap popularity. |
Has anyone considered the effect of this policy on those earning 10k or less. It means the rate of robbery will shoot up as many will not be able to afford anything again. Cost of food, transportation, water, and everything you can think of to survive will rise against this meager income. So for those of you who can't think deep. You are no longer safe. Attention shifted to Banks and Fueling stations before subsidy am sorry people will begin to do anything to survive even if it will involve breaking down your gate while you are at work. These are factors you need to consider before coming up with some crazy policies. Yo need to weigh the immediate effect against some uncertain long term effects. The welfare of your people should be paramount. This is sheer insensitivity |
May the income of all those supporting this fuel subsidy removal go below 18k per month in 2012. |
FORMER PETROLEUM MINISTER ON FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL 1) One barrel of Crude oil = 42gallons or 159 litres 2) Our Refineries (i.e 4) Installed (combined) capacity = 445,000 barrels per day 3) Actual refineries capacity due to ageing equipment = 30% i.e. 133,500 barrels per day 4) . . 133,500 barrels = 21.2 million litres 5) Local required consumption (F.O.S) = 12millions litres 6) It means that even our MORIBOND refineries can actually meet our local consumption need of petroleum. 7) The cost structure of crude oil (i.e. Qua Iboe Crude Oil) production; - Findings / development - $3.5 - Production cost - $1.5 - Refining Cost - $12.6 - Pipeline/transportation - $1.5 - Distr/bridging fund Margin -$15.69 True cost of one litre of petroleum anywhere in Nigeria;- Total sum cost = $34.8 - 1ltr cost = $34.8/159 litres = $0.219 - Naira equiv. 0.219xN160= N35.02k - Add Tax N5 + N35.02 = N40.02 9) Let FGN refute the above composition and if not, they should tell us how they came about N65/litre. 10) Locally refined products cannot be sold at International price. 11) We really do not need FGN SUBSIDY as there was NONE in the first place. 12) What is LACKING, is the WILL to enforce LAW ON CORRUPTION. |
We shall sit down and watch like we always do and see where this will take us to. Those that are comfortable do not care about the discomforted. what a sinful nation! My sister it is not everybody in Lekki that is sad about the toll fee. Some are happy and even want more toll gates to flush out the less privilege in their midst. This is how we are. When a government means well she will consider the effect of her decision on the entire populace especially that of the majority that brought her into power. That is why you see prime ministers in some countries resigning over what we call trivial issues and why some country will go on strike over an increase in fuel by 2 pence. |
dmainboss:But how can you consider labour to be less than 2 million even if they were two million which we both know is not true, who caters for the aged, the infants and the rest of the populace. Is it not the same lame labour force. That aside. I did not even mention labour in the context of my post. I reflected on the common man which encompasses the market women, ,men, students, artisans, public servants and the rest that constitute two-third of the entire population. |
dmainboss:What you need to know is that you can't dine with the devils and say you are clean. Jonathan is in a very wrong party for me to expect anything good from him. Nothing good can come out of PDP. It is a fact you need to understand. I posted on his candidacy before the election and am glad his supporters are seeing the result of their flaws. May the Lord keep us till 2013 and we'll both come around here to evaluate this step taken by the GEJ govt |
dmainboss, I love your argument but if you were to be fair on the common man would you have taken this step without considering any step to cushion in the effect of this policy on the man that is still struggling with the present minimum wage in the country. Just put yourself in their picture. |
dmainboss:^^^^^^^^^^^ do you trust this government that much? With all the lies about Bokoharam, to constant power etc |
Mikeansy, You have said it all. Jonathan has created another account for the treasury looters to go on looting spree. What makes you think the money saved will ever come back to the people. A Fed Govt that could not commission single pedestrian bridge. Babangida in all his Atrocities commissioned the 3rd mainland bridge. What has this administration done for the people? Just to flex muscle on the ownership of Federal roads in Lagos. This is the worst we've ever had. Hissssssssssed! |
One_Naira:By the time I start with you. You will change your username from one Naira to one pessawa. |
Who are you hot for. You may be hot for all your Igbo monkeys that must have had their way through your lineage while you were a kid. Someone is trying to educate your maggot ridding brain you are saying you are too hot. Ojuku is a shame to all carriers of Y-chromosomes. Who is a coward Fajuyi that chased your father out of the land or your Ojukwu coward that fled the country in the heat of the war. Or is it the Northerners that are killing your people up north and your coward million Pro Ojukwu cowards in their millions celebrating the few thousand hausas in the East. When you learn what the word Cowardice means then you can come here and post, IBO girl |
Some people will never see anything good in what this choir has done as long as it is Yoruba. They will have preferred their tribe instead. This is the real definition of complex exhibited by some inferior beings that tremble at the mention of any Yoruba praise. |
IYA NGBALI:Lol! Which one is Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland again. This is peak of inferiority complex I have ever seen on nairaland. So Ndi Igbo sons don't have the brain to go and set up their own egoland. Na for Seun Osewa, A full Yoruba son's Nairaland social net work they wan nominate Ndi Igbo. Now I know Yorubas are real threats to Eze ndi igbos and are light years ahead. Kai no brain to set up something like this. Kudos to Seun, the true son of his father. A true son from my home town. |
wealth123:The guy is just too dull. USA will never allow such people in their nation except he smuggled himself in illegally. I don't really think he's got the brain to pass o level. Let him just go and sell spare parts in Mali. |
IBB has been a sinner and only God is his punisher |
^^^^^^^^^^Revolutionaries in Nigeria or I read something else, or you mean Niger republic, she na dis nairaland political tigers go hang am |
Today is world similarity day. Ileke-Idi has spotted hers I think I have spotted one too. Chino and Rhino have some letters and behavioral pattern. |
Only Ileke idi against all these okoro men. Woow Ileke-Idi you are too much. One woman takes 20 ibo men down. if the war had really been between Yoruba and Igbo. Then the entire east would have been wiped out. The Yoruba women only need to shake their yansh and the entire east is gone. |
Young boy keep quiet you don't talk to people as if they are your brothers from the village. |
I like your method OP. This is just for those that can discern. |
@ Beaf If your State is blessed with all the Natural endowment of this world and it is still in the state it is then you need to ask your present and past governors some questions. Aregbesola can not turn Osun State to another Abuja over night. To do that he needs to think big and harness either the Natural resources at his disposal or the human resources like South korea did. He considered the vast piece of land begging for attention as one of the answers to the problems. This is why he has decided to go into mechanised. This, he took a leap into by bringing in foreign experts last year to survey the land and carry out feasibility studies which is the right thing any one embarking on a project would do. I have thought of this before during my visit to OAU. This was exactly what I expected from the past administration. To me, for him to have taken this step at all I think he deserves some encouragement. |
One of the few Governors that has taken his eyes away from the so-called black gold to explore other avenue he could sustain his State which was immensely devastated by the useless past PDP governors. Beaf, the people of that State are really appreciative of his effort. What has your governor done to your State despite the revenue you enjoy from Oil proceeds? If you don't have anything better then keep quiet! |
Why do my Ibo brothers always think of where they can lose. You lost the war, presidency perpetual losers. Recently a Nothern chieftain was warning the South East to forget ever ruling Nigeria because they have sold their birthright to South South in the last election. I feel Ibos are descendants of Esau just born to lose everything. Now it is Lagos they are fighting for. Any reasonable person would know that Lagos is one of the strongholds of the ever hospitable Yoruba people and with the wisdon they possess in this region they will flush out any dike Obinna and Chukwudi. So why can't the Ibos go and fight a fight they can win. You no get elders or youths to think for you. |
If an Igbo man will allow a Yoruba man to first rule Imo and Anambra what then stops them from ruling Lagos. Another concern is if an Igbo man will step down for his fellow brother and not split the votes as can be seen in past national elections and lastly if an Igbo man will not sell all the votes to a Yoruba for a mere 500 naira. |
^^^^^^^^ Gbam! |
I once had a very pretty friend, a family friend to be precise. The day she told me about this thing I was shocked. She was losing all her suitors one after the other to other ladies. She came to me and said she needed deliverance over the spiritual husband she has. She openly confessed a man comes around to sleep with her at night in her dream. I was shocked I promised to help her get a good loving guy only for the relationship to break shortly after then. She tried another herself she even got herself pregnant in the process only to lose the baby and the relationship again. The mother took her for deliverance at Mountain of fire and she was delivered she’s eventually married today with a baby boy but the mother died shortly after marriage. She was a very loving woman who tried her best for her children. I think it does exist. It is only those that have been affected that can say much about this. For those that have never experienced it, it will continually be superstition. I pray it does not happen to you all. The other experience with another lady was fatal I don't want to discuss it. |
I give it to Calabar and Akure. I was surprised at what I saw in Akure, from it's greens to nice lovely areas of interest. the Governor has really done a lot to that state. The way the trees and the lawns are will tell you more about the comfort. But from what I have heard about Calabar, I think it tops the list. Ekiti is another state that I know |
True cost of one litre of petroleum anywhere in Nigeria;
