elampiro: Akita was approved. LaSalette has even a stronger message about 'a future Pope'.
Maria Divine Mercy is one among recent messages talking about the Pope and a coming division between a Schismatic one world church/religion and a faithful remnant. Again I tell you, separate from those apparitions this your invisible hand behind the keyboard called maria divine mercy. You will be filled with fear, the devil can foretell what he has planned for the future, yet he needs God to allow or twart that plan of his. |

elampiro: So what are you defending? Defending false teachings makes you proud? Are you working for God that way? We already were told what will be happening in Rome and we see it happening under Bergoglio. He defends the scripture, the scripture says the church is the pillar and foundation of truth. You disrespect the pope in a way, calling him Begoglio, That is Pope Francis, the reigning pontiff. To him the lord had said, "feed my sheep". |

elampiro: Great harm is being caused, that's why the Cardinals are worried. This is a gradual dismantling of the Catholic church. Beloved brother, that is why they are all there, remember it took paul to straighten up peter in the first council. Pls separate fatima, la salette,...well akita...from maria divine mercy and the likes, don't muddle up things, fear is a weapon of the devil, pray, pray, pray. |

dragon2: Catholic bishops said Tuesday that they remain fundamentally opposed to homosexual relationships, tempering the message of a landmark Vatican report calling for a more positive approach to gay believers.
Amid signs of a conservative backlash against the reform agenda being pushed by Vatican liberals supported by Pope Francis, bishops attending a special synod on the family called for "appropriate prudence" in the signals sent to the gay community.
This was necessary, they said, "so that the impression of a positive evaluation of such a tendency on the part of the Church is not created," according to a summary of the latest discussions released by the Vatican.
The warning shot came a day after a preliminary report on the synod's work made waves around the world by noting that "homosexuals have gifts and qualities to offer to the Christian community" and suggesting the Church should reach out to them.
In a move that appeared to reflect misgivings over how that message has been interpreted, the Vatican's press office on Tuesday issued a statement downplaying the significance of the mid-synod report, emphasising it was only a working paper which had been given an importance it did not merit.
Whatever its final significance, the tone of the report, with its emphasis on the need for both mercy and realism on the part of the Church, clearly reflects Francis's own "Who am I to judge?" thinking on the issue.
But it could scarcely be further removed from official Church teaching, which maintains that same-sex relationships are "intrinsically disordered" and counsels gay believers to refrain from sexual relations........ .........Sources in the Holy See told AFP that a number of African bishops had been sharply critical of the prominence given to the issue of homosexuality in Monday's report, angrily pointing out that it had been addressed in only six interventions in a total of 180 over the first week of the synod.
Such reservations were acknowledged in the latest Vatican update on the debates, which notes that participants underlined the virtual absence of the word "sin" from the mid-term report.
The bishops also called for further reflection on the theological underpinning of the opening up to the gay community -- the so-called "principle of graduality" which provides for the acceptance of individuals living in irregular, or sinful, situations while the Church works with them to bring them into conformity with its rules over time.
The synod is due to wrap up on Sunday and there will be another gathering of bishops and lay Catholics in October 2015 before Francis announces the conclusions, most likely in early 2016.

Ubenedictus: i also expect palliative languages and encouragement, the church needs to be present in the lives of all these people, i also expect something more definite, this document is very porous.
There are phrases and principles here that lend themselves to a variety of interpretation. There is an interesting rowdiness about the synod, it seems everybody is playing the press game, card burke got tired of argueing inside the synod and brought his concerns to the press, those from south america seem very fluid on these issues and pope francis is preaching a good dose of mercy and generousity through out the synod.
I am holding tight to my rosary . The bold I am entirely with you on it. Let's watch and pray...and trust the Lord. |

Ubenedictus: This is the mid synodal document, it is purposely ambigous. It can be read both ways and i had a hard time determining whether it is simply pastoral care or if there is something lurking under.
www.zenit.org/en/articles/synod14-full-text-of-relatio-post-disceptationem
i am really grateful this isn't the final document, if it were...i would be having a real interpretation problem. It isn't a final document, some of those worrisome statements are just capturing the views of some bishops, the numerical strength I do not know. It is a trying time for the church and we should pray more. I look foward to the teachings of the church standing in the end, but I expect a whole lot of palliative language, which generally amount to nothing destructive to the teachings, just to encourage those who are in such unfortunate situation to a closer relationship with Christ. But I must say that the subtility in the use of language in that document is too "liberal". |

Secondly, that christ ate after his resurrection and that he showed thomas His wounds ...see Lk 24:39-43. thirdly, that passage should be read with this in mind ---Romans 8:10 "And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness". |

Rich4god: I didnt mean to start writing much, but I believe that there are instances where one of "a married couple" might decide to opt out on his/her own without following the church's process of divorce, probably by serving her divorce paper from the court. Now in this case, I feel the church should give the other partner the grace to recieve communion and probably to remarry since the 1st partner is gone without following the church process and is not ready/willing to follow the process. With regards to your example, the church does not refuse the other party communion, if not remarried, and in a state of grace. We are talking about those who remarried outside the church, coming to receive communion. Now what if after 15yrs they both come together and say "we want to respect our "marriage" and be together, we regret our second "union", and we want to make things right, will the church say "no, go to your second marriages", or will the church support another divorce? |
