Klington:EXACTLY !!! Wonder why all his cult followers can not understand this. |
Babaken:One thing I have always admired about the people from the East has been they have always prepared their minds for unexpected things to happen when it comes to Nigeria's internal affairs so that when it does happen they are not all that surprised. |
Nvestor02:Two dwarfs arguing between themselves regarding who is taller are completely missing the point they are both dwarfs. Partner your defending BAT is a lost cause. Even blind Stevie Wonders can see that this man is clueless when it comes to ideas regarding how to run anything. The only thing this man has shown to be good at is making appointments. Take your blinders off and face reality. I am a Yoruba man like you but I know that sometimes love is blind but it ain't so blind that I can't see. The same administration that wants to reduce the price of goods is at the same time increasing customs duties through CBN rates conversion on goods. Cardoso CBN Chairman is as clueless as a door knob. |
RepoMan007:Let you in on a secret it is not a Demand and Supply thing. Annual inflow remittance by the Nigerian in Diaspora is about $21B, and Annual outflow specifically dedicated to importation is about $25B. This is without even taking into account Nigeria's excess reserve account. There is plenty of money to defend the Naira. The previous CBN chief did it without any fanfare. Partner, a lot of the big boys in financial institutions are all betting against the Naira. |
optimusprime2:Did they even understand the ramifications of currency floating? I don't think they did. Nigeria uses Price Waterhouse for NNPC accounting. Are you telling me that there are no qualified accounting companies in that country that could do that work? |
How is that free-floating on the Naira going with yaa? Insane for the country to be doing something proposed by McKinsey and Company, a global consulting company. This is the same company that advised AT&T in 1991 to sell their mobile phone division because wait for this people, they envisioned the total number of subscribers within the continental USA not to be more than 100,000 by 2011. They were way off by over 200m subscribers. That alone should have disqualified that company from ever being hired by any reasonable company as a consultant. That is the same company that advised the Nigerian government to free-float its Currency. Nigeria has so many distinguished economists with her border that advised the country not to free-float the currency. Typical of African Countries they worshiped at the altar of Ivy League College diplomas instead of believing their homegrown diplomas. Now they are in this position. All major countries support their currency, either directly or indirectly. China, Japan, and Germany directly The mighty USA does this indirectly through the Treasury notes interest manipulations. Only Nigeria is stupid enough to think she knows better. Well, i think it's time for me to take a short position when it comes to Nigeria currency I am thinking of buying a short position of $1/2200, |
GarbaAudu:Aboki people are now showing the whole Country that they control the money supply within that Real Estate called Nigeria. |
FOOTSOLDIER2:I am beginning to agree with you. As for them learning that is still a work in progress. His Yoruba cult followers are so far up kissing his a** that they could taste what the man had for lunch. |
Chimarto:He did what !!!!! Please tell you are being sarcastic. |
PARADIZEPRIEST:Do you want to know what is presently wrecking the economy of Nigeria? I will tell you. Your so-called CBN stipulates a Dollar rate for clearing goods at the port. How does your custom determine the valuation of the goods coming in? They don't know it. They just pull a number out of their a**. For example, someone bringing in a 2007 salvage Honda Accord that was bought at the auction for maybe $1200, and shipped to Nigeria for $1300. Total landing cost of $2500. That same car, your out-of-this-world Nigeria custom on their website has a valuation of $4975 against the car. How did they come up with $4975 very easy to explain they are looking at the blue book value of the car. They had no clue regarding the differences between a salvage car and a clear title car. When an Insurance sends a car to the auction the determining factor is the residual on a car after repair. A customer had an accident in a car that was valued at $4975, The insurance adjuster determined that the repair cost for the car to be $3500. Guess what the insurance people will do they will send the car to the auction and try to sell it for $1475 minus the handling fees/auction fees. That is how you arrived at the $1200. I know what I am saying when it comes to this whole auction business because I wrote some applications for some auction houses. Nigeria Customs needs to change the applications they are using in their valuation. Let you on a secret, bringing that same car brand new from Japan the customs duty paid to clear the into the USA was $495. Anybody who ever bought a brand new car in the USA will see that $495 on their car's MSRP(Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price) invoice. Nigeria Customs charges more to clear a salvage used car than what was originally paid in the USA to clear the same car when it was brand new. |
BucketMan:Say it again Partner. I couldn't believe it that $1000 was over N1,400.000. I was shocked. |
Jagaban2012:hypothetical question partner !!! No freaking need for a hard-on okay. I know you like your jagaban and would like to divert attention from the topic question. Right now the situation in Nigeria could be compared to a woman being raped in a cornfield with nobody around to hear her screaming she might as well relax and enjoy this shit. Citizens of Nigeria might as well take a chill pill and wait until 2027. |

Kushites:Define Hoarding !!!!! Have you ever seen a business person who prefers hoarding over quick turnover of the products he or she is selling? GTFOH when you put crap on blast with your capital texting. This dead man walking President is your man, that is okay you are entitled to your opinion but advocating moving to another country was uncalled for. |
Zxcvbnmghtr:PRIVILEGE !!! No partner is call NEPOTISM |
PoliteActivist:Okay, let us cut to the chase partner. The USA supports the dollar indirectly, how? by increasing the yield on the Treasury Notes. The 10-year T-Bills yield is actually what trends very closely to the mortgage rate. They will increase the yield to draw foreign capital to buy their debt, which in essence serves two purposes 1. Finance the country's debt, 2. Provide artificial liquidity support to the dollar. With a budget deficit of close to 34 Trillion Dollars USA is now a country too big to fail. Nigeria shouldn't have floated the Naira, the same bankers advising Nigeria to float her currency just happened to be shortening the currency. They are all betting against the Naira. To correct this, peg the currency to varying bands of N700 - N1000. This will in the short term lead to higher borrowing rates, but overall bring down inflation and cut food prices. Provided the country can reduce the cost of governance, 65% of Nigeria's budget goes toward governance like paying Senators, House of Reps, and so forth. |
merits:Question: Any issue with uplink when it rains Is it available all over Lagos or in certain areas Any data cap in usage Thanks |
BentizilL0:GTFOH you sure about that ? I have seen more Yoruba people begging me on this platform than Igbo. |
Bayajjidda:Me too will like to know exactly what his crime was? |
IduNaOba:Reading a posting like this makes me be appreciative that I left that Kosi Kosi country (Kosi owo, kosi ina, kosi omi always kosi kosi) when I was young. The country is dying and all this piece of sh*t could think of is some Southwest being President when your so call Southwest man is proving beyond reasonable doubt that he's incompetent, I am not an abortion supporter but for you, I am willing to make an exception. |
Wotowotoman:To answer your question I have had to make a quick dash to Bill & Melinda Gates's website to see how much they have spent in Nigeria. Guess what total $420m. Now to answer your question Dangote net worth is about $ 20 billion, and Otedola's about $12B.Between those two $420m shouldn't be that difficult. Sometimes Nigerians are just gasping for straws. |
nairalanda1:I agree. How come Nigeria can't do the same? The benefits of a good highway system are way better as compared to the misery index on any Nigeria Highways |
chiiraq802:Partner the USA has the best Highway system in the world. Just imagine 85% of the Highways in the USA were all imaginations of President Eisenhower. That is why they are called the Eisenhower interstate system. |
God1000:While at it kindly add the people |
Catapault:Partner damm you're on a war path today. We both need to sit down and smoke a peace pipe like an Indian chief. All I believe in is me. So, what is wrong with that? You have been praying in Nigeria to some god to perform miracles and make that country better, since 1960 mind you. Look around instead of improving what can you see. I am just saying maybe it's time to try something else, Your god ain't listening to any of the requests coming out of that country. |
Catapault:Every time you open your laptop (Unless you are using an Andriod) guess what you are using a Bill Gates invention. Next, open a browser 9 out 10 that is a Bill Gates invention also. You can play ignorant until hell freezes over but you still have to give the man his dues. Now kindly list out harms done by his grants to facilitate vaccination in that kosi kosi country (kosi owo Kosi ina kosi omi always kosi kosi). The man has helped millions in that country just to stay alive. I have been a beneficiary of the Ford Foundation when I was in High School in Nigeria. Rich people in America set up Foundations to help humanity. |
Catapault:Ain't no need to come @ me like that Partner. You believe in your imaginary god and I believe in me case close. |
jubrilELsudan:Partner you truly believe there is an afterlife? Psst !!! Partner let you on a secret there is none. Rich people invented Heaven and hell narratives to play tricks on the motherfuc*er poor souls. Something to make them think that if they are poor now maybe there is some kind of reward waiting for them in heaven the same thing with the 10 virgins crap with the Nation of Islam brothers. Who in their freaking right mind wants 10 virgins anyway? No afterlife partner when you are freaking dead cuz you dead aiight. That's a wrap |
WorldRichest:You know what I always find amazing about Nigeria's so-called Billionaires? Bill Gates, an American, and a white man has poured more of his own money into improving that country than those three of Nigeria's Billionaires combined. Yeap I repeat combined. That still will not stop some segments of the people in Nigeria from criticizing the USA whenever the opportunity arises. |
BlocksNG:My money included. I have lost a lot of dough in the freaking city. Every Thanksgiving I am always in Vegas. Today is Super Bowl I have a little juice on the Chiefs to win the damn game. |
STANLEY CUP Hand down nothing even close. ICC T-20 Follow SUPER BOWL Got to run Gauntlet WORLD SERIES OF BASEBALL You got to be lucky Home Field Advantage is meaningless |
christejames:Bitter Lesson !!!! I guess it is easy to send out bullsh*t text , while still living in your family house @ your age. |
