This is the immediate result of the policy. We hope they have what it takes to sustain it and stop the activities of speculators of which the banks are the major participant.

Nigerians banks is the only one in the world declaring huge profit without any impact in the real sector of the economy.... They are window dressing their financials or making gains frm dollars racketting.
For years I have been scratching my brain trying to figure out how banks made money in Nigeria. I knew their profits were never derived from making loans because they rarely made any. Derived fees were minimal to account for the ridiculous profit they were reporting. Lo and behold all they were doing was racketeering all along, betting against their country's currency trying to sabotage the economy. Where is that country attorney general when you need one? I guess since they know they could do this with impunity why wouldn't they?

Hmmm.
Don't be a miscreant and support the bad handiwork of Tinubu and then start counting your chickens before they hatch. It will shock you.
The North will fight back. I know them well enough.
They will dump APC and jump into NNPP enmasse in the North knowing LP and PDP with still erode APC in the south.
No region can win election on its own.
Two region need to support each other to win election. Tinubu APC cannot woo the SE to get their vote, he can only try to woo the north like he did in 2023. But if the north deny him the support, Otilor.
Let me concede that you are right with your assumption for a minute. I have been advocating that if all the regions in the South can come to an agreement and speak with one voice there is nothing the North will be able to do. The South will rule the country. Whenever I meet someone from the North whether in Europe or in here in the US and I ask that person where they are from the first answer they always gives me is "I am from the North" whereas when I meet people from the South and I ask them the same question they tend to always reply with their home town of their state never with "I am from the South". We need to come together people.
Business › Re: Naira Under-valued In Official, Parallel Forex Markets – Bismarck Rewane by t2luv1: 12:15am On Jan 18, 2024
"He said Nigeria has had over three decades of deficit budget" Well FYI the last time the USA had a balanced budget was in 1996. So running a deficit might not be the root cause of why Naira is undervalued. The root cause is very easy removing monetary support for the naira played a major role. When an entity like JP Morgan advocates for the free float of your currency and the same entity has been taking a short position against the Naira something ain't kosher (Yiddish for not right). Japan supported the yen to the tune of $10B last Quarter of 2023, but a country like Nigeria does not support its currency go figure out the logic behind that reasoning. The US treasury supports the dollar indirectly by increasing the yield on the treasury bond. This forces major FX institutions to pour money into the Treasury by buying US treasury bonds which let's face is an IOU. I predict by March the US treasury will be cutting the yield rate by 0.25% by March. Why March because April 15 is the tax filing date when the population has to pay their taxes. More money coming into Treasury meaning no need for outside funding.

Real Estate Investment Opportunities In Nigeria.
Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, is considered a hot investment destination for several reasons. It's a rapidly developing area with significant government and private sector investments in infrastructure, such as the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Dangote Refinery, and ongoing road projects. These developments attract businesses, drive economic growth, and enhance property value, making it an attractive prospect for investors. Additionally, the area's proximity to the Atlantic Ocean and potential for tourism further contribute to its investment appeal.

It has to come to this. It all started in 2008, it was a rude awakening to White Americans' physic it never once occurred to them that someone could be elected President without winning the majority of the white votes. Well, Obama did it not once but twice. First time he only won 25% of the white votes, he not only won the plurality of votes but also over 300 in the Electoral College. The second time he won 22% of the white again won the plurality of votes and over 300 in the electoral votes. In the modern era, only 3 Presidents as ever won the electoral votes twice with over 300 each time. They are Eisenhower, FDR, and Obama. For a black man to have done that, well the white minority prediction just became a reality to most white Americans. Trump is just the outward manifestation of all these effects. Most Americans love Biden but the idea that a black woman is just a skip heartbeat of an eighty-one-year-old white man from being President is a bridge too far for most white Americans to navigate. If I have to make a prediction it will be two. 1. Either Biden develops an LBJ moment and does not run. 2. Replace Kamala Harris, with a white man like Beshear, Kentucky Governor. Of course, these are all bandages to the inevitability that the country's makeup is changing and white people will have to come around to that realization. The day Texas turns blue then this hangover fever will break because that will be the end of the Republican Party,

You are right and that doesn’t mean I am wrong.
My cars are own by the company I fully own.
All my fuel and car repairs are done from the company account.
Most of my clothing are work clothes.
This is the game the rich people play.
My trips to Nigeria are all business trips (not holidays).
They are all paid for from my company account.
That’s how the rich write off expenses from their taxes.
Grant Cardone wrote off his Gulfstream jet against his tax. You can Google it.
I used footballers as example because that’s what an average Nigerian can relate with.
Atiku paid less than N5m as tax according to his tax clearance certificate prior to the election.
Personal finance should be a mandatory course in Nigeria for secondary school students.
Reading Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad, Poor Dad would have made this post unnecessary.
You are not an average Nigerian and it’s pleasure interacting with you.
I do the same thing as you are doing. The only exception is that the car I use is registered to in my name and not the corporation. I bought a car from the auction for $7K four years ago. Each year I claim over 20K in business mileages. You do the math on that one all from a 7K car.

False information.
You pay 0% tax on the first £12,570. 20% basic rate tax on the part of your income which falls into the next tax bracket (£12,571 up to £50,270). This means you'll pay 20% tax on £37,700.
Anything you earn above £50,271 to £125,140, is taxed at 40%.
Your income over £125,140, is taxed at 45%.
That's why you see those footballers with fleets of expensive cars. That is where they put all their earnings to avoid paying big taxes.
Ever heard of incorporation? Tell whomever you working for to pay you with 1099. I am using an example of a US setup. Get paid $160k as a 1099 turnaround and pay yourself 80K. You only pay your actual tax rate of 35% on the 80K. At tax filing time after claiming all your business deductions residual in the corporate account is 40K guess what you only pay 15% on that 40K the rest is yours. I voted for Trump in 2016 because he promised to increase pass-through corporate amount from 20K to 100K and to my surprise he did. as long as final residual is less than 100K, partner it is all yours. Thanks to Trump

Renowned Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has marked the end of the year with an exciting milestone – becoming a landlady. She took to her Instagram story to announce the purchase of a new house in London, UK.

The talented singer, who frequently travels between Nigeria, London, and other countries, shared photos of her luxurious new home, showcasing its well-equipped gym, furnished living areas, and a cinema room.
That is about $1.4m. London property's yearly rate of 7% means she gonna be paying yearly rent of $98K just on property taxes. When you buy a house over here partner keep an eye out for the property taxes, To lessen the impact buy the house using corporations then expense out the cost from your personal taxes. The only drawback make sure you have a living will in place so that your family can claim the property when you pass on. Sorry i don't know if UK has a homestead exception as we do in the US.
