Why would it be to the detriment of my marriage. I will marry someone who has same vision and goals as me. It only becomes a problem when one does not share similar goals. There are lots of marriages in which the couple is successful and happy in their marriage.

Being succesful does not mean you will be a bad wife or mother. The fact that you are doing well means you can even take time off (financially) and travel etc and spend times with your family. I will see them everyday and after work will be family time. Its not impossible. Its been happening for long and it will Stoll be happening.

The problem starts if an unsuccessful person gets with a successful person and then starts to be jealous etc. People should marry who they are compatible with.

My fiance for example is thrilled at the fact that am doing well for myself and will be able to impact positively in the decision making of the home. We share similar goals abd visions and will be supporting each other no matter what.

All couples will go through marital problems. Its inevitable and also the honeymoon phase will pass. So what happens when the honey moon phase is over? When finances becomes to much to bear then the fight starts and unhappiness creeps in. If the husband is dangote then great but looking at the current economic situation especially in Nigeria and what the average man earns, one needs to be realistic. When you have kids its not just about you and "happiness". There are people who hate their jobs and would love to quit but they can't because they have responsibilities. The reason we work hard is ultimely for our kids and family to have a better life. If I have to work from 7am to 9pm in order for me to give my kids the best future possible then I will do it.

This reminds me of a case of an insecure man who married a woman with a good career. He made her quit her job and shortly he had an accident and could no longer work. So they were both screwed.

I believe nowadays having two incomes is very beneficial because anything can happen. If one gets retrenched or something than at least there is a backup.

I believe though that career women should go for educated career men as well who appreciate hardwork and not egotistical men whose ego gets bruised simply because the wife is doing well.

I have dated a football fanatic. He breathed, eat, sleeped football

His bed posters and bedsheets and room was filled with Manchester united stuff.

He would browse online on those soccer sites for scores and updates till he gets home and can watch the live match

When he is busy watching soccer or anything that has to do with soccer he is utterly unreachable. I once had an accident and called him numerous times but he didn't answer my calls or messages because he was too engrossed with his soccer games.

Honestly it was a terrible experience. Eventually I got preoccupied with my own stuff which he didn't like cos when I wanted to watch my series or do something on his non soccer days then it was a problem as he kept complaining but when he wants to watch soccer on his days it was never a problem. I guess he finally felt what I was feeling.

Sometimes you partner wants to spend time with you on days that you would rather prefer to watch soccer, series etc and comprises are key to a relationship as long as its not an every day thing.

Some guys take it to the extreme with soccer and I would rather date someone who does not watch soccer or watches it occasionally then a die hard fan who can't see reason when soccer is involved.

Using someone's picture without their consent is an offense in some countries. Also she could sue for defamation of character as well. We have only heard one side of the story. If some girl just posts a picture of you on facebook claiming you are a serial cheat or womaniser how would you feel? What if its not true and people are insulting you?
