Before you begin, know this: Ulcer is just an injury in the stomach lining.
It is very important you know this.


1. what do you do to internal injuries?
Nothing. You let them heal naturally since you cannot drink iodine or chew cotton wool.


2. what causes the searing pain you feel?
This happens when objects brush against the injury. Worms, food particles & stomach acids can cause this which explains why the pain is severe a few minutes after you eat (during digestion).
Pain can also occur when worms brush against the injury so you need to de-worm yourself like every 3 to 4 months to reduce the probability / frequency that they will.
Also, eat very early in the morning as the worms will start eating your stomach linings if they don't find food (probably how the injury started in the first place).

Increase your protein intake. Beans, fish, meat etc to help heal the injury faster.


In addition,
Never go hungry. Know that you're eating for two reasons.

2. To keep the worms at bay. They start crawling all over when they can't find food so munch on anything you find.

I remember in 2011 when I was 18 years old, my uncle threw me out of his house. I live in Alausa then with him and no one from my family wanted anything to do with me because I left pastor's house.

What they did not know was that for three years and pastor and his wife turned me to their servant.

They had 5 children and I had to wake up at 4:30 am daily to bathe and dress five children for school, iron their uniforms, cook breakfast, give them their medications, lead prayer, and take them to the bus stop by 7:50 am to wait for the school bus.

Then I would come back to the house and prepare lunches for the afternoon, package them in the refrigerator, clean the huge house, wash clothes, and finally manage to go to my school by 10 am.

I'd leave school early and go to Idumota to buy supplies for pastors wife who was a caterer. When I get home around 4 am from the market, I would then take care of the five kids and make sure they catch some sleep before their evening playtime.

Around 7 pm, madams frozen supplies would arrive, and if there was a big order, I would have to cut and fry cartons of chicken and fish.

Sometimes, I worked from 4 am to 12:30 am non-stop seven days a week.

It was tiring. I couldn't cope. My body was always hot. I wasn't learning anything at school because I slept and all.

Then one day I complained to my parents. They said I should stay.

I was thrown out of the house after many waves of abuse. I started living on the streets of Alausa. People really tried to help me. One man let me sleep in the staircase of his compound and gave me a bedspread and pillow.

Luckily, I found a job in December 2010 with KFC at Ikeja city mall.

February 2011, I fell sick with pneumonia. I went to the hospital one day to check what was happening, and the doctor refused to let me go.

He told me my lungs were filling with fluids and they had to start treatment immediately. I didn't realize how serious the sickness was until when in the doctor's office I tried to stand up but quickly collapsed.

The treatment didn't make me feel better, I eventually stopped breathing and was placed on oxygen. Was on oxygen for 5 days. In the end, testing showed I was attacked by a very aggressive strain of pneumonia and lost 70% of my lung function.

I stayed in the hospital for 27 days, and not a single soul came to visit me.

My mom was far away in Owerri, my father had just died.

My uncle lived about 15 minutes away from the hospital but he never came to check me.

If not for KFC, I would have died in 2011.

If not for the fact that I went looking for work, I would have died in 2011.

My bill at the end of it all was N550, 480 -- KFC paid it all.

Its not bad enough that he cannot provide he has to start beating his wife in the process and demanding her salary.

Forget what you read on Nairaland about women being demanding. Men are worse.

More than 90% of Nigerian men would just relax and stop trying if they have a wife that earns more or had more money than them. They will not bother providing anything until they are sure she has exhausted her money. Or if they do provide it will be grudgingly and with anger because they feel the woman should be doing the job instead.

I don't blame them. The society we live in coddles irresponsible men and blame everything on women.

But somtin happened last 2 months, he had terrible problems with his business and lost almost everything including his shop and in a bid to salvage his situation he ended up owing many pple, when all these started he didn't tell me, thou hez a kind of person that likes handling his problem alone without disturbing or telling me which I don't like bcus it somehow makes me feel less important and useful to him, I got to know when he changed, his attitude, moods and everything changed, hez always disturbed, thinking and always visiting pple, he payed less concern and attention to me, don't even call and when I call, he will be in a haste to end it, I became confused, so I had to asked what was going on, he said nothing, I got upset and insisted he must tell me, he then opened up, I felt so bad and almost cried, since then I have been trying to maintain his upkeep and sometimes give him money which hez not comfortable with.

The problem now Is that im scared, he asked for a huge amount of money from me which is 700k, he wants to start all over again in his cloth business and also clear some debt, and I can only boast of 820k home and abroad as a business woman, i just feel he saw my account balance before asking for this, Im scared to loose the money and him too. I love this guy but im so scared of doing this, he helped me when I needed money, but this sacrifice is bigger than me, he showed and detailed everything he will be doing with the money, Im just confused to gamble with my life savings, I know I might sound ungrateful what if the business or our relationship crumble? Won't I be stranded and doomed? My business is not that strong and we all know how most of sacrifices like this ended for people. Is this kind of risk worth doing for a boyfriend

Mine is so full of intrigues,I had been stranded several times,many years ago I was in Abuja,looking for job all to no avail,nowhere I didn't use this my two legs trekked to,I was squatting with a cousin in jabi before it was demolished, from jabi to secretariat,all the area one to ten,maitama,banex plaza area,garki,wuse from zone one to six,I couldn't get a job,was only a secondary school leaver with a computer certificate then,had to settle as a caddy at the golf club at aso drive,work was mostly weekends, while weeks days I go for menial jobs in sites around jabi,airport road citec I worked the hell out my life there, they are still owning me 600 bucks,having pass through all these,El rufai demolition squad brought down jabi one and jabi two,daki biyu and all nearby environment, I had nobody to accommodate me,my cousin that works in a hotel at wuse zone four start staying at the hotel premises,I had no choice than to go back to my home state delta or go to my relatives place in Lagos.
Where I used to work at sites in utako area, most dangote drivers was our friends,we have to be nice or in some cases bribe them with drinks so our names will be included to offload a trailer load of cement,on this particular day,I made up my mind to move to Lagos,so I ask the driver his destination he said Lagos and was happy I pleaded with him to follow them to Lagos which he gladly agreed,I collected his number, dash back to pack up my few belongings, I was so tired of abuja then,I have had enough,I call the driver after am done,he said he was on his way and that he will wait for me at gwagwalada but if I can't meet up am on my own, with 600 naira with me,a loaf of bread,I hit the road to gwags entering small cars that moved very fast,on reaching gwags no sight of the so called trailer, I called him,he said he couldn't wait that I should meet him at abaji,I quickly hit the road and moved fast on reaching abaji,the idiot said he will wait for me at lokoja,my resources was down,I said forward ever backward never,on reaching lokoja,I called and he said he can't wait that he needed to load that night and head somewhere else,I stood at lokoja helpless,no airtime to call for help,am left with 200 bucks,that can't even take me back to Abuja let alone Lagos,I roam the expressway looking at vehicles and travellers if I could see any familiar face to help,I couldn't see any,later at night when all hope seems lost,I saw some guys stop their 911 Benz truck with wooden back,from their utterance, they are heading to coker in alaba area cos they have tiling materials as goods,I waited for them to eat and have their fill,they seems so happy, I was just pitying myself, no food just half loaf of bread,I went to the one that have a calm face,I explained my plight on how I was stranded and have to go to Lagos, he felt for me and met the driver who shouted and send me away,that am a criminal running away,I showed him my school ID card and personal documents, I kept pleading till one soldier just came from nowhere and asked,where una dey go,they replied him Lagos and he just went and sat at the front sit,you this stupid boy where you dey go,asked the soldier,I quickly ask him na Lagos you dey serve or you dey pass?that question from me made him to come down,so you be barracks boy,I said yes,he asked me so many military terms and I answered him well without thinking twice,driver na our pikin be this I can't leave him here,that's how I joined them straight to Lagos, we arrived the next day morning, along the road the soldier bought nice meals for me and I was damn happy,I stopped at Alaba suru,enter danfo to boundary at ajegunle,my Dad elder sister was a petty trader then,may God bless her soul, she is late now,on reaching her shed,she cried as if I just came back from prison,I was looking tattered and wretched, her co market women have to beg her that am alive,so why bothering herself, I ate enough food at that market,she asked me to go to her house in same ajegunle area,I refused,I told her I prefer to go to my cousin place at okoko area,she gave me almost all her sales for that day bought enough food stuff and I went to my cousins place,those ones saw me,they were laughing at me,it was not funny then,just one week later,I recovered very well,stayed with them for almost a year doing menial jobs,went back to school and eventually level change.

Ekuru and stew are also known as ofuloju and ata dindin, it is commonly eaten among the Yorubas in Nigeria and it’s like a sister to moi moi and eko (steamed beans with pap). Some say Ekuru is originated from the Kwara state some argued that it’s from Ondo state, all my concern is the Ekuru and how much I love eating it… lol. Ekuru is eaten with hands(you will crumble the Ekuru and mix the sauce, some people sprinkle salt over it and mix but the salt part is optional)
I was under the weather a few days ago and all I wanted was spicy food and didn’t want soup (pepper soup) and that was how I quickly whipped up Ekuru and stew.
Traditionally, Ekuru is prepared with peeled bean, I have a process of peeling the beans faster on the blog How to Peel Beans with a Blender. Ekuru mixture needs air to be incorporated into it to make it light and fluffy and to do that blended beans is mixed in a mortar and pestle and steamed in banana leaves. The stew is commonly prepared with ponmo (cowskin), locust beans (iru) dried fish or shrimps, you don’t have to use all the listed ingredients if you don’t have them or like them, the stone grinder was used in grinding the pepper.
It’s modern day, appliances have taken over, you can use pieces of appliances for the process I used a hand mixer and mini chopper to blend, you can use a food processor or a blender but I’m making small portion hence the mini chopper.
Let’s get started.

Ekuru and Stew (White moi moi and fried stew)
Course: lunch, Main Course
Cuisine: African
Ingredients
1 Pound Black Eyed Pea or brown beans
1/2 Cup Dried pepper
1 Onion (sliced)
1/2 Red bell pepper
2 Big Habanero/Rodo
1 Teaspoon Ground crayfish
1.5 Cup Dried fish, dried crayfish
1/4 Cup Cooking Oil (Palm or vegetable oil)
Instructions
1. or Ekuru: soak the peeled beans in water overnight or for at least 1 hour (for easy blending)
2. lend the soaked beans with little or no water until smooth.
3. our the blended beans into a bowl and mix to incorporate air (use a hand whisker or electric hand mixer) as you will do when mixing cake. When mixing you will notice the changes in the mixture.
If the mixture is too thick add water (I used 1 cup in total), you don't want the mixture too thick or too watery.
4. Continue to mix, you will notice the beans doubles or increase in size, this takes about 8 minutes with a hand mixer, for you to check if the beans as changed to Ekuru, put a drop of it in a bowl of water, if it sink continue with your mixing but if it float, your Ekuru is done
5. lace a saucepan or pot over high heat and pour some water in it, enough to cover just the base of the ramekins.
When done with the mixing, pour the batter into a leaf and wrap.
Do not add anything to the mixture, Ekuru is prepared like that, no season whatsoever should be added.
6. If you're using leaves, place some (not too many) of the sticks(cut off from the bottom of the leaves) inside the water on the heat and place the wrapped beans batter inside the hot water (watch your fingers). If you're using ramekins or foil pocket just place it in the water, repeat the process until you exhaust the beans batter. Cover and steam.
7. eating: insert a toothpick inside the ekuru and if it comes out clean the ekuru is ready. If you're using leaves, the leaves would have changed in color, take one out to check if it's done. Ekuru is ready!
