Politics › Re: Sanusi's Letter Is The Biggest Lie In Nigerian History by taharqa: 7:52am On Dec 16, 2013
eGuerrilla: Sanusi never said funds were stolen outright, he used the word "diverted" instead.
For those of you who don't know, the unauthorised diversion of funds is considered one of the major forms of corruption in the developing world
.

I put it to @OP and his co-travelers on this thread that, even on a good day, they are nowhere near Sanusi's equal on matters relating to the workings of the CBN or the Budget Office. Against this background, it behooves you to show some humility.
Oh! SHUT ya tha, @e-Gorilla. Wud you once respect the Intelligence of forum members here, and quit assuming that everyone is endowed with d same pea-sized brain as you!!!.... Sanusi's Unsigned 'letter' said d said amount was 'diverted', alright; but it also said that it was 'not remitted to the Federation Account' within d same period. That is, $50bn was NOT AVAILABLE for Sharing, hence funding, both d Federal and d other 815 Sub-national Budgets, since ALL monies that are used to fund d budgets must 1st be remitted to d Federation Account and then Shared out from there to all tiers of Government during d monthly FAAC meetings. So in what way is d @OP's queries/submissions wrong or misdirected?..... Since you are all so 'smart' and Concerned, maybe you may want to also tell us how $50bn was 'diverted'/'not remitted' to d Federation Account in a year where according to d same Sanusi d Economy grew by more than 6%, d Foreign Reserves grew from about $33bn to $45bn (with d Excess Fund Component growing from around $3billion to more than $9billion), d Naira appreciated by more than 3%, d Nigerian Stock Exchange Capitalisation base had one of its largest growth ever, and more amazingly, Nigeria's Debt Accumulation esp to fund d budget deficit reduced from about #800bn to #600bn. Yet, $50bn was supposed to have been 'diverted', 'stolen', 'not remitted' for that year, and half of d next- ALL these why Crude Oil production actuali decreased to bw 2-2.2million bpd!!! Explain to us 'Einstein' how all these make sense to you. Thanks

Genius100: Reuben Abati is an i-diot. Obasanjo said there are allegations that Snipers are being trained. He then said, this will be a terrible idea if true. What exactly does Abati want OBJ to prove? That there are allegations?
Dear Lawd!!! See DAFT logic. So OBJ 'heard Allegations of Snipers' and decided to 'tell' (read: accuss) a Sitting President by writing an Open Letter, and you say that President should not Demand the Accuser to provide Proof (and explaination) of d 'Allegation' (Accusation)?? What then wud you want him do? Keep Silent, thereby accepting d 'Allegation'.... You chaps shld try not to make yr HATRED and Stupiditi too obvious when pushing yr views. It is common sense...

@e-Gorilla, sorri e-Guerilla, the money the Commissioner of Ebonyi was talking about has NOTHING to do with d phantom '$50bn'. The Commissioner never made ANY link to it nor was it what he was refering to; that 'link' was made in d headline by Shameless PT, from whom this blogger-Newspaper. NNPC has been paying a particular sum to FAAC every month for sm time now, I bliv about #7billion each month; a sum they also paid in dat last FAAC meeting 3 days ago.

His tenacity -never backs down. A pure fighter .

Politics › Re: Non- Remittance: NNPC Says Sanusi Playing Politics by taharqa: 9:24am On Dec 14, 2013
ballabriggs: You see, the NNPC here is not even saying there is nothing missing. It says its statutory remittance to the federation account of about 27% of total has already been made.

What the NNPC has done is to shift the blame on some other agencies.

However, what the CBN is asking here is its foreign exchange. You exported and under the laws you should bring back foreign exchange to be held by the CBN before we talk of your statutory payments to the DPR and FIRS.

Where is this foreign exchange
?
Bwahahahaha.... Grand OLODO!! So let us get it straight here: NNPC shld pay d entire money gotten from d Crude liftings to a CBN Account as 'foreign exchange' 1st (even though they are not statutuary allowed to). Then d CBN wud then pay d monies back to NNPC. Then d NNPC wud pay d 76% share to FIRS and DPR, who wud then pay the share BACK to d CBN in naira (non 'foreign exchange'?), right?? Shebi, am correct. Hehehehehehe grin grin grin... Your DAFTNESS guy is Legendary!! I must hail you........ By d way, d NNPC made it clear that d entire $67 had been remitted to d CBN by d various collecting agencies cos d CBN itself is amongst d Agencies that meet and sign-off all d figures monthly even b4 Crude is lifted. The GMD NNPC also wondered hw any person wud bliv that $50bn was 'missing' in a country like Nigeria without d Economy been brought to its knees when that amount wud even affect d Economy of d USA (all these additional Info is in the Thisday's Article I hv talked about). I mean we all know that NNPC is/has always been a beacon for corruption, and one wud not doubt much if sm illegal dealings are tied to d way Oil is transacted in this country (one of d reasons some of us are still ASTONISHED at why d PIB hasn't been passed by d NA ova a year after they received, and d deadening SILENCE of d Noisy, Hypocritic 'anti-corruption' battle criers) BUT to say $50bn is just missing in 1.5yrs is an unacceptable Insult to our individual and collective Intelligence

ballabriggs: Deridemumu arguing with his sophisticated ignorance.

When NNPC exports, it receives foreign exchange held by the CBN.

The CBN has not seen this foreign exchange from Jan 2012 to 2013 thus forcing it to raise alarm
.

Stop using your mpiawazu brain to discuss issues you know not about. So you think forex flows in this country are without the CBN? Your Mumu Na die.

Politics › Re: Non- Remittance: NNPC Says Sanusi Playing Politics by taharqa: 8:22am On Dec 14, 2013
ballabriggs: Another crude attempt to digress from the topic. Is the NNPC man lacking an understanding of the contents of Lamido Sanusi's letter.

The CBN asks in the letter, where is my foreign exchange?

You the NNPC has exported crude and under the export laws, the proceeds from these exports must be remitted by the NNPC, the exporter and not the FIRS or DPR.

To an extent, the CBN cares less about what has been paid into the federation account as that is an issue for the fiscal authorities. The CBN is concerned about its foreign exchange as this is at the center of its monetary policy direction.

So Mr NNPC who exported and did not remit forex to the CBN should explain what has happened. In this case, the CBN does not know the DPR and FIRS. It knows the exporter, the NNPC.
You are talking COMPLETE NONSENSE; I bet you know dat, right?...'I want my foreign exchange'! What d fucck does that mean, DAFTY? Pukkah: It is curious that the 'quashing' Court says contract-splitting is 'unknown to law'.

See excerpts from the Public Procurement Act 2007:

Fundamental Principles Section 16(4).
37. The appropriate methods, procedures and contract award for public procurement of goods and works shall be subject to the prior review thresholds as may be set from time to time by the BPP.

38. Value for money obtained through efficiency, fair access to bids and transparency, shall remain the main objective of the Procuring Entity.

39. Contracts shall not be split into smaller units in order to avoid competitive bidding or be distributed among various lots to different bidders to enlarge bidder participation at the cost of lesser economy and efficiency.

I thought it was an exaggeration when it was said that it is somebody's destiny to bankrupt Nigeria.
Public Procurement Act, 2007. Hope you saw d date of d law you are citing, 2007. Thief Bode George and Co were alleged to have committed the particular crime for which they were basically convicted ('contract splitting') BEFORE 2007; and a law can Never be Retrogressive in its effect ie a person cannot be convicted by a law for crimes allegedly committed b4 that law was passed. The Supreme in this case held same: that 'contract splitting was not known to law AS AT THE TIME THE CRIME WAS ALLEGEDLY COMMITTED'. Of course, SaharaReporters left out the Capitalised part of d quote above for obvious reasons. SR also LIED when it said that Dauda, SAN led d case (so as to put 'curry' in their shameless propaganda), when it was d former AGF Agabi, SAN that led d group of other SANs to argue their case b4 d 7 Justices of d Supreme Court.... all the above accounts are domiciled in the CBN with a few offshore, if you were any smart, you should ask where these agencies and subsidiaries get their funds from.
