No one is absolving Farouk Lawan from any act of corruption. But nwanne m, its time we stopped joining unrelated issues. For now, lets not worry about how Tambuwal gets up in the morning. The question is, are Tambuwal's accusations false? You should answer that question in your own mind and reflect on it, regardless of Tambuwal's or Farouk Lawan's integrity. We know that your own integrity has not yet been compromised and that you should not be willing to sweep accusations against your President under the carpet, simply becaus you think the accusers are also corrupt.
Which one out of d 4 cases Tambuwal used isn't false, or distorted, or exxagerated?? |
otokx: There was nothing wrong with the Aladja - Itakpe - Ajaokuta railway line as it was meant to move steel products between landlocked Ajaokuta and Aladja that has a water way. If they want to use it for passenger traffic now then its a good development, they should try and extend the line from Ajaokuta to Abuja and from Aladja to Warri then we can now do Warri to Kaduna in say 3 hours if they speed is quite good and that will be real development. There was/is NOTHING like Aladja-Itakpe-Ajaokuta Rail line. It is d Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Aladja(Warri) Line; and it was only d mostly Itakpe-Ajaokuta part of d Line that was completed and working b4 now (it was used to convey Iron Ore from Itakpe to Ajaokuta Steel Milks). The Aladja(Warri) Mill was not connected- infact, this was one of d MAIN reasons Ajaokuta and Nigerian Steel Sector never workd cos there was no means of getting d HEAVY steel and sm raw materials both to and from d Aladja Plant and d Sea at Warri; only recently was d Agbor-Warri loop completed. Moreova, as you might hv heard from d Video (assuming you even watched it), d Itakpe-Ajaokuta(maybe up to Ore) Loop had to be Rehabilitated as well cos d line was not been used nor maintained for a long time since whateva remaind of Itakpe Ajaokuta collapsed, and so had gone bad..... As you correctly guessed, the entire Rail track has been recently made to be able to carry Passengers, as well as d Heavy Goods it was originally designed for. Also, d link to Abuja is within d Rail Masterplan, but Nothing has been done yet in that respect except for d recently concluded Feasibility Studies on that loop (just 1 of 10 such studies) |
By d way, just in d way of context: It took 10 different Admins from 1975 to date to Complete a 253km Standard Rail Guage WHILST it is taking just about 3yrs for a SINGLE Admin to complete the new 167km Abuja-Kaduna Standard Rail Guage from Scratch (its construction started in 2010/2011 and is already more than 70% complete as at today); and, it is even GEJ who is presently completing this perpetuali Abandoned project. Abuja Standard Metro Line is also been done concurrently; just as d 3500km Narrow Rail Lines that were comatose for a long time are been Resuscitated, with trains already moving on the Lagos-Kano Line..... But 'GEJ is not working', 'he is too slow'.. |
payless: This government bringing all these white nobodies to give credence to rubbish they do is laughable. Anytime they want to deceive the masses about so call "project", they parade whites of nobodies to bring credence to it. Those Eastern-eruopean whites are not as qualified as Nigerian engineers.Oh! Boy, ehye. See new format. Na wa o. Na d new 'criticism' bi dis one, abi?? ... They are d Julius Berger men handling d project; thought I said dat in d OP.... |
ROCE: The earlier Maku started realising he is the minister for ALL Nigerians, the better. All these politics of tribes, religion etc for selfish political ambitions is not only a disrespect to the position these guys occupy, it will do more harm than good to their aims.Abeg, guy stop putting words in his mouth. He was only, to my mind, emphasizing what GEJ had done/is doing in d North cos of d persons who were pushing d Propaganda that he was not doing anytin there. He was not regionalising Or politicalizing anytin. He spoke within a Context... |

Train moves in newly Completed Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Ore-Agbor-Warri Standard Rail Track; 1st Standard Rail Guage in West Africa This Railway was planned since the 1975 3rd National Plan, primarily to serve Nigeria's Steel Industry. It was subsequently abandoned by subsequent Admins (ie Shagari, Buhari and Early parts of Babangida) until the late 19980s/early 1990s when work finally started. Subsequent Admins have re-started (continued) as well as Abandoned the project, until Yar'adua's time in 2009 when he re-started (continued) it. GEJ continued froom there, and HASN'T ABANDONED it such that the entire track (esp the remaining Agbor-Warrri loop) has be COMPLETED this year (although certain Navigational Aids and the 5 Rail Terminals are still be done by Julius Berger Berger, the Contracting firm. This is the 4th Standard Rail Lines (apart from Resuscitating the over 3500km Old comatose Rail) that Gej is currently undertaking https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJE8WhPS0G0 |
“We have every cause to believe that this money is missing. This document here is from the Central Bank of Nigeria. This is a very authentic source. It is a very authentic document. The issue is who actually authorized the lodging of this money elsewhere if at the money is not missing then who gave authorization for opening of this account where these monies are paid contrary to section 162 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria?”Ohhh! They are beginning to change their mouths now Or spreading their options in order to keep the noise going for some time, kwa?? I thought they said the $50billion was 'MISSING', na; make dem stick with that story jooor... |
For the THINKING Types who may want to get a feel of what is really happening, see a comment I made earlier today on another Corruption made by Premium Times yterday night posted by e-Gorillla, which is part of the co-ordinated Desperate onslaught against the President for Raw Power whicslipping away. Plz, Note the very clear errors(wrong premise) that were UNASHAMEABLY used by these Power Mongers, and ask yrself WHY?? Then make up yr mind after reading this, if you like, (that was not my intention anyways), but atleast Reflect on all d Info on every side. http://premiumtimesng.com/news/151202-exclusive-jonathan-alison-madueke-okonjo-iweala-culpable-in-diversion-of-n8-trillion-oil-funds.html/ PREMIUM TIMES: Even so, when compared with prevailing data from different government agencies, the figure admitted by the CBN is still lesser than what Nigeria should earn from oil sales. For those persons 'eating' this thrash, this is what the EDITORS of PT allowed through their 'Paper': Their 'Analysis' was based on the Assumption of an Average Oil Sales of 2.11millionbpd and Average Price of $105 per barrel. According to them, using these figures for a 10 months period, Jan-Oct 2013, Nigeria 'Earned' (their very words) #10.6trillion from crude oil sales, while NNPC only remitted #5.8billion to the Federation Account within the period (so the difference of #4.8trillion has been 'STOLEN' or 'DIVERTED'); just as $17.3billion (#2.695trillion) was 'earned' as Excess Crude Oil, although the Govt remitted #986.6billion (so the difference #1.708trillion has also been 'stolen' or 'diverted')!! Here was the Mathematics used: --- 2.11millionbpd * $105 per barrel * 30days * 10months * #158= #10.5trillion Oil SOLD (equivalent in their own mind to money 'earned' by Nigeria). --- 2.11mbpd * $26 Excess per barrel(ie $105- $97) * 30days * 10months= $16.5billion (approximately $17.3billion they used since am using 30days per month). So PT wud have us believe that Crude Oil, at least the Nigerian Oil, just magically produces and sells itself just like that, kwa (maybe that's why it is called 'Sweet Oil')? PT wud have us believe that All the Oil Companies in Nigeria (Shell, Chevron, Total, Oando, Sahra Energy, ExxonMobil, Halliburton, NNPC itself, etc) are a bunch of Father Xmases who love Nigeria so much that they not only produce/sell our crude for us for FREE without adding the COST of production nor do they Share from the Oil sales. Such Wonderful set of Companies in deed!! May they be blessed, Always wink!! OK, enough of Clowning around; lets get back to Reality now: When a Country produces and sells Oil to the International market, the money that buyers pay (like the #10.6trillion above) is just the SELLING PRICE. There is a COST associated with producing and selling every barrel of Oil sold (Cost of Exploration, Licensing, Exploitation, Producing, Storage, Transportation, Running cost, Labour, buying of sophisticated Equipment/Platforms, Insurance, Security, etc, etc, etc). This COST is subtracted from the SELLING PRICE; the Resulting Difference been the SHAREABLE PROFIT. It is only this PROFIT that is SHARED bw the Govt and the Oil Companies in the ratio 70/60: 30/40 (depend |
ceo4eva: Just within a space of 3 days, OBJ, Tambuwal and Sanusi have all indicted the President of Massive Looting and Unabated Corruption.I really think you are a KID. I told you so yterday, and you kinda confirmed it today. If you had any Sense you wud have known that the 3 of them said similar things within same time period (you may want add what Amaechi and that 'OLODO' Senator said about 'missing' Excess Fund and #500billion SURE-P Fund) means that we are only seeing a Co-ordinated move by a Group of very FRUSTRATED Old Power Mongers/Hangers who are seeing themselves been pushed aside in an evolving New Power Order and in predictable Desperation are clinging to 'dear life' by playing their last card NOW. If you were the thinking-kind, you wud have known quite Easily that ALL of their Allegations, particularly that bother on corruption, are all mere 'Air' with no foundations at all (and I wud love for you to take me up on any of them); and are meant not for truth but to create enough Headlines and hopefully (for them) create the environment to perpetuate their power-grabbing intentions. If you were Perceptive, you wud have known that there is a very very serious DANGER lurking at the doorstep, presently. You then just might be sober and reflective. But here you are begging for 'likes' over such a very serious issue. #growupplease |
Wow... seriously, this kind of being exist on planet earth? What a shallowness of life! Someone has been given a prepared food, with table set, yet they are still asking for someone to come take their hands and put food in their mouth Was and is Rivers state assembly functional ? Is Rivers state not in crisis thanks for madam lazarus and the God forbidden Jesus of Otueke? Seriously, are you using the brain God gave you or you are using PDP brain which is = F9 |
So finali it was still d Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education that signed d MOU, kwa?? Can smone remind me what ASUU Demands were again... |
fkaz: In other word you be MU*MU, after reading the embolden you quote, you still lack understanding what transpired at the assembly.Plz, who is this RAT ranting here. They don't acknowledge Superiors in yr village, faa?? |
payless: They were not able to transact business. Was the assemble no invaded by thugs and hoodlums? They transacted business dat day even after d fight. So d talk of not 'able to transact business' is false. That's probably what d court thought too... Moreova, if every time thugs 'invade' a HOA, d NA takes ova, there wud certainly not be too many functioning HOAs around. That certainly wud not be d intent of d framers of d Constitution (whoeva d faceless people are)- and dats probably why they didn't use such a generalised and ambigious term as 'in crisis'. |
payless: Section 11 (4) and (5) of the 1999 Constitution provide thatIn other words, NO WHERE in d Constitution is it stated that d NA shld take ova d functions of a State HOA only cos dat House merely 'is in crisis' (yr words). Thnk you much..... Read tru d @emboldened parts of d excerpts you posted above to know what specific conditions the constitution gave.. |
payless: The Nigerian Constitution permits the National Assembly to take over the day-to-day activities of any State House of Assembly if in crisis. This judge has been bought and paid for. This is a situation where a judge is making law from the bench. Judges are to interpret and administer laws. What part of d Constitution says that d NA shld take ova d functions of a State HOA if dat HOA 'is in crisis' (your very words)? Shebi u dey talk of d Nigerian Constitution? |
Adindu peter: look what hate and envy have done to your sense of judgment.. The fact is that you guys hate to see Gej perform!!!Na only |

Abagworo: People are trying to deviate issues here. The major problem is that Jonathan is deliberately polarizing Nigeria based on tribe and religion.Yea, d same way Obama is polarising d USA, right? According to Tea Party Clowns... |
nairaman66: I completely agree to this.. He'll be IMPEACHED come January!!Impeached by who? You? Many of u KIDS still are not capable to grasp what is actuali going on. The Extent of it... |
You're naive and a tad bit lost in translation. This has absolutely nothing to do with politics and winning/losing elections in 2015. Go read the letter again. It's like a final warning before the real owners of Nigeria do the "needful." I expect a coup before summer next year. I doubt GEJ would live to see 2015 - I honestly doubt it.
Yea, you are unfortunately right. That is becoming likely now... But then d REAL Owners of d 'glue' (ie Oil) that holds Nigeria together wud take up what is theirs, with such completeness and alarity. I hope you know who those Owners are.... |
blink182: why are you struggling to show how St.upid you are, for your information FIRS alone in under 12 months remits enough money into the federation account to support the federal budget not to mention NPA, NIMASA, borrowings and the Eca that is always being drawn. What d helll are u talking about?? Can sm of u quit opening yr mouth in Public and spewing IGNORANCE? And to think you were quoting me... |
wirinet: what sense is the whole tin making? Sanusi said from July 2012 to July 2013 (18 months), only about 29% of oil revenue was remitted into the federation account and NNPC which is to supervise our whole oil industry says it is only directly responsible for remitting part of the amount (since January 2012 that is), and that the CBN should look elsewhere for the missing money. And it is making sense to you.'Making', not 'made' Sense I said. Biko, I cannot type unnecessarily. See d Comment from @TMidas I quoted and fully endorsed above.. And by d way, if you read my comment on d PT claim on d last page and if you hv any Sense, you wud be very circumspect at accepting any of these allegations without both criticali analysing it Or waiting for other Info esp counter ones from all sides. |
MidasT: Some of us dont think deeply enuff, and we are quick to make decisions based on the report of one of the parties in a dispute. How many of us on this thread has read the counter-point presented by NNPC? The CBN governor was obviously not aware of how proceeds from oil sale is remitted to different government agencies like the FIRS, DPR, NPDC, etc. How can $50 billion be missing? We all know that the NNPC is corrupt right from the day of Abraham, but $50 billion under one year is not possible. What Nigerians need now is a joint press conference by the CBN, NNPC, FIRS, NPDC, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of petroleum to reconcile their figures publicly. And if by chance this is a false alarm, then the CBN governor should resign, and if there is actually missing money, those responsible should be made to face the law.I endorse this comment completely.... |
Is there any doubts now that d Old Thieving Power Elites who hv been pushed out of Power by GEJ are desperately trying to get back to Power by all means?? And is then any doubts that Nigeria is closer to war than it had ever been since 1970; and that it is this war that wud finali divide us?? |
I just read d NNPC Response to the 'letter' on Punch. NNPC even gave d amount of Oil it 'lifted' as more than 600m barrels (more than what d said 'letter' even said NNPC lifted initiali) and explained meticulously d part of d money they are supposed to remit to d Federation Account and the parts other Agencies are suppossed to remit. The whole tin is making more sense now... |
