In my opinion I think aregbe has tried for his state (osun).

The projects he did were projects he thought were good things for the state but the reduced allocation from the federal broke many state governments back.

Nevertheless aregbe like other yoruba governors failed to free themselves from oil money, the oil that is not from our region. They failed to go into agriculture massively.

Chief awolowo did his projects from money not from oil but money from agriculture. But the present crop of leaders of today are too clueless and too unserious to do the correct thing.

The Thunder that would strike you, and vedaxcool, has sinz finished it's morning press-up and is already on its way. Yes, that shrill rippling sound you are hearing from a distance is the thunder coming.

Please tell me this isn't true. This can't be true can it? Any link to back this up. This is potentially the worst news of all, if true. I doubt it.

By the way, I found this part of the article interesting:

The labour leaders recommended that the governor should stop the use of consultants for IGR collection. They believe that the use of consultants amounts to waste of resources.

They therefore advised that civil servants should be used to execute such tasks.

The unionists added, “ If there is a dire need at all for the use of consultants for specific purposes, the revenue that would be accruable to the state should be fixed and percentages should not be given as it is the case now where 40 per cent goes to the government and 60 per cent to the consultants.http://www.punchng.com/news/osun-may-stop-free-feeding-of-schoolchildren/

It can from the Unions in Osun as reported by Punch.

By d way, read through some of your posts, your intelligence and innate curiosity shows very clearly. An admirable trait, esp in a young female

In my opinion, this probably means some states are renegotiating their terms with Alpha beta or canceling their contracts. For instance, getting 10% of Lagos tax revenue is simply too much for one consultancy firm and I would imagine similar terms applies to other states.
The union narratives seems far fetched to me. Red herring?

You are complaining of "just" 10% in the case if Lagos, when in Osun tax consultants take 60% while the State gets d remaining 40%. You know know why, apart from the hefty loans taken, Aregbesola has not been able to pay series for 7 months.

Science/Technology / Re: The Sciences Discussion Thread. by taharqa: 3:08pm On Jun 21, 2015
Samguine:

In my opinion, Mathematics is the purest form of science. All other branches of science would be meaningless without Mathematics.

Mathematics, strictly speaking is not Science. Mathematics is actuality one of the "subjects" that shows that the so-called 3 great branches of (man's) Knowledge ie Science, Social Science and Arts, are actually basically the same thing/have same source. The only difference between them been the DEGREE OF MEASUREMENTS of observable phenomena associated with these "branches" ie Precision in Measurement. Science been the most Precise (that is why Science places such emphasis on minute measurements and instrumentation as well as axioms) and Arts been the least Precise.

Mathematics on the other hand is basically LANGUAGE. Nature's Language. The Language of knowledge ie of ALL the "branches" of Knowledge - Science, Social Science and Arts. Thats why Mathematics can be useful to express phenomena in all these 3 "branches" .

The reason why it seems Mathematics is a pure Science is cos by its nature it's the measurements therein are as precise as Science. But it isn't an exclusive property of Science.

By d way, from the aforementioned it is clear that am a big advocate of the "Unity of Knowledge" ie that all things Known and Unknown have ONE SOURCE and hence obey same FUNDAMENTAL rules/principles. All the plenty divisions of this Knowledge is only an attempt by man to understand phenomena.

The largest thing we know in science is a Brane. cool
Brands contain universes.
Universes contain clusters. But,
Clusters are made of galaxies.
Galaxies are made of stars . . . well, mostly stars. smiley
Stars have systems.
Each star system has planets. shocked
Planets have . . . "spheres" our planet, Earth, has a biosphere
This biosphere is made of living organisms. Like you and I . . . and goats. cheesy
These organisms are made of organic systems. wink
These systems are made up of organs. tongue like that tongue.
Organs are made of tissue. grin
Tissue, is made of cells shocked
Cells are made up of organelles.
Organelles . . . are made up of GIANT molecules! shocked shocked
Molecules are made up of atoms . . . grin
Now, atoms are made of subatomic particles . . . the electron, the protons, neutrons. cool cool
Wait . . . even the neutron is made up of the electron and the proton.
The proton is made of quarks!
And quarks are made up of little, cute, superstrings.

Gluons keep the atom core together and photons are the senior messengers that carry energy. lipsrsealed little neutrinos are the junior messengers. grin grin they can go anywhere.
We must not forget the higgs boson. This bulky guy gives all the other particles mass!!
The electron is the negative guy that actually allows matter to occupy space!! Without that dude, matter would smash into each other and form huge black holes shocked
But nothing would be complete without the graviton. A really, really small particle which is really good at hiding. angry angry
It allows you to play football, play "no bouncing" cheesy jump, play basketball, even swim shocked

The universe is fascinating!! Each level of arrangements have a whole lot of juicy facts and patterns that can make your head swirl with excitement!!
Which is why we study it with mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology! And in science, our ultimate goal is to be able to explain every thing. To understand your universe. From the smallest string, to the largest Brane. In fact, EVERYTHING

Cheers!

ayokellany:

No it is not PMB's resolve, it is Jonathn / Madueke delusion to auction the entire four refineries as scrap after dooling out trillions of naira on repair.

But you IJIOTS hv got to be consistent na. Which is which :

GEJ/Madueke spent "trillions" to REPAIR dilapidated refineries (emphasis on the word 'repair') but wanted to sell them as scraps to friends

OR,

Buhari REPAIRED these refineries in 3 weeks.

It is either one or the other. Can't be both at the same time.

If you guys want to discuss facts, lets ; If you want to discuss sentiments, that too is OK. But we can't discuss both at the same time. Let's take this one after the other. We have the time, K??

Did you read the conclusion part where I stated PMB's resolve to probe NNPC? His non-recognition of the subsidy? Please read it again.

So it was PMB's resolve, let's call it 'threat', to probe NNPC that got the refineries REPAIRED in 3 weeks??

I don't get it? Plzzz, help me "understand"

No, you didn't.

Your conclusion was also about GEJ, ie his supposed 'inability', in this case been fooled by his ministers and aides (according to you) . But you hv not answered the crucial questions :

-- These refineries hv been bad and generally packed up since at least Abdusalam, at least parts of it. No??

-- So at what point were these refineries repaired?? OBJ, Yar'adua, GEJ, Buhari??

-- What specific role did Buhari’s 3 weeks rule play in this repair of the refineries (the most important question).

Thanks

OK.. Let me take a break from my self imposed hiatus cos of this thread.....

So @ passingshot, let's agree that GEJ didn't do anything and the refineries that hv been dilapidated for more than a decade just "suddenly" got better as you so "brilliantly" argued in your OP , wat I still don't get is wat role Buhari played in getting d refineries repaired and up and running (assuming of course that they actually start to fully work nx month as the NNPC spokesman said)??

That is d part that you left out in your "exposition".
