Politics › Re: Nigeria Does Not Have 100m Destitute – Presidency by taharqa:
take dat: Funnily, if the same World bank releases a report that there are major improvements in our social welfare indicators even though the people are not feeling the impact or the report says that unemployment rate is now 10%, the Government would gladly accept the report but Government outrightly rejected this. A Government that appreciates if her performance is 'over exaggerated' shouldn't be angry when lied against.

I do not believe in the 100million claim though. But poverty still persists, inequality widens and its prosperity for a few in our society. We have a few wealthy Islands surrounded by a vast Sea of Poverty. Our Government should tackle these challenges head on. Corruption robs the poor the most, and deprives millions of people of access to service and of the opportunity to earn a living.
Actuali, an Actual Report from d World Bank early this yr indicated that Poverty Rate DECREASED in Nigeria from 48% to 46% bw 2011 and 2012. This woman shld tell simply us how she got to her conclusions....@bold2, EOM

Politics › Re: Anambra Election Declared Inconclusive by taharqa: 12:37pm On Nov 18, 2013
OnyiiVictor: did u think that the total 113,113 voter will vote for APC and again number of accredited vote on 113,113 will not be upto 65% of 113,113 voter(73,523), Add it to 92,000=165,523. My friend stop dreaming bc APC will never win d election
The attendance can never be up to 50% sef; and Idemili North and South only has about 90,000 voters in those cancelled centres. All of whom can't possibly vote for Ngige. Plus, no one Can win an election with wins in only 2 LGAs. It is OVER for Ngige and APC, as well as for PDP; if they get it yet, thats their problem..... However, that Useless EOD for Idemili North who messed up what shld hv been a smooth election shld be caught and Flayed alive. INEC shld also learn to avoid making sm embarrasing mistakes, all the more senseless, if it is completely unnecessary and preventable
Politics › Re: Anambra Election Declared Inconclusive by taharqa: 12:21pm On Nov 18, 2013
caseless: Uba said deputy speaker, anambra state assembly was caught on camera givin out money to voters and he said he sponsored d said guy's election in 2011. Uba shld throw his weight behind ngige so he can win and compensate him.
You are SHAMELESS; you know that, right? .... Anyways, why shld I be surprised? Shebi, he did so b4? The candidate you are passionately supporting is afterall an Election Rigger of note, who went to d extent of going naked in d middle of d night b4 a notorious shrine (Okija shrine), kneeling down and pledging allegiance to an Agreement reached with his Criminal backers to sell Anambra state to them!! You HYPOCRITES in APC hv conveniently 'forgotten' this, of course. Afterall, it happened a 'long' time ago, in 2003! And Ngige has since become a 'Progressive'.... *smdh*

wirinet: You should understand what i am talking about, it is difficult to get all your thoughts out when you are typing on a phone with a 2.5 x 1.5 screen. I mean all the time she was in the PDP government, she never showed any ambition to contest an elective post. And that was the height of her popularity.

She only contested after she left government and was drafted by Peter Obi to contest for senator. A politician involved in party politic would always contest for one post or the other in every election season. I hope you get my drift.
Plz, just keep QUIET and save yaself more unnecessary embarrassment. Biko...
Politics › Re: FG Should Account For Missing $5bn – APC, New PDP by taharqa: 9:35am On Nov 18, 2013
take dat: The account belongs to the Federation(three tiers of government), though maintained by the FG. if there is a shortfall in revenue, it is pertinent that the FG consult with other parties(State and LG) before making deductions from the account. The confusion stems from the fact that the FG unilaterally made deductions from the account without the state governments knowledge.
Reali?? So all those times monies were released from this Account in other to Augment shortfall in Revenue at most FAAC meetings ALMOST ON A MONTHLY BASIS, including just 4 days or so ago when another $1billion was released and shared, cos State Govs hv been constantly demanding it, d States weren't aware right??.... Abeg, just cannot talk this morning unnecessarily. I will hv to pass...

smartchoice: and Fayemi is busy jaw jawing on irrelevancies in Sokoto! Closing all job opportunities (merger of universities) while diverting money to build his own in Ghana! Obviously this is a symptom of 2014 elections! And currently only government backed militias can think of doing that....
This has nothing to do with Fayemi... Lets stop politizising every tin, abeg; esp when the tin is a very serious smtin..........@topic, did d Criminals come for newborn Babies Or just for a particular baby (maybe d parent of the baby do them smtin)?
This is a sad statement for a PDP supporter whose candidate, Tony Nwoye, stated on AIT that there was electoral fraud in Anambra. One would have thought you'd be behind your candidate's position. Your rant above shows that there is more to this fraud than meets the eye. Here we have PDP agents in collusion with APGA agents with the support of some unscrupulous INEC agents, rigging an election and disenfranchising so many Anambrarians, an affair which should be condemned by all progressive minded people.

taharqa is certainly not one of those progressives. SMH
Come guy, why are u following around every thread na? I no be 'homo' o grin..... By d way, who gives a ffuck about PDP? Hv you seen me say anything particularly good about PDP on NL? Na GEJ I dey passionately dey support. If e pain you too much, DIE cheesy..... Politics › Re: Jega Admits Officer Incharge of Indemili North Messed-up The Arrangement by taharqa: 4:03pm On Nov 17, 2013
Desric: They are not systematic to the fact that four days to election day, INEC had to adjust the Register to be used for an election to the extent that even the PDP candidate and his parents names were not found in the Register? They are not systematic to the extent that ballot materials which have arrived at all LG hdqtrs on friday night could not get to polling units until at about 1pm, 2pm. 3pm in so many areas? Mixing voters register where one wards register will be given to another ward and vice versa?
Be the change you want to see in the world, our mentality is too low and like I will always say, "The level of Leadership/Governance you see in an area reflects the direct proportion of the level of those Governed/lead."
Plz, explain with credible links. Cos the Newspapers I perused this morning didn't say 'many areas'. In fact, even APC only askd for cancellatn of Electns in 4 LGAs out of 21. Does that seem to you like an electn that was Systematic riggd?.. But, plz explain; maybe I wud learn a tin or two

My dear its not enough we support anything just because it furnish our ego for now. I believe you are a youth, be the change you want to see in the world.
Look at this one. Whatever hitches were noticed in d election, though condemnable, were not Systemic (except for d Idemili case, which is why INEC had to reconduct d elections there). Prove me wrong if you think otherwise...

Ameachi is bn very Fooolish and petty, as usual. And a bladdi HYPOCRITE as well. $5bn 'missing' in deed!!.... Sm people are so DUMB. Was it not this same Ameachi and sm Govs who hv been saying that Nigeria shld not save any monies in d Excess Account cos according to them Nigeria shld be 'spending' money instead of saving, as well as virtuali blackmailing d FG to periodicali realease monies from this Account in order to Augment their monthly take home pay. Is that not why they hv bn fighting themselves in d FAAC meetings truout this year? Just 3 or so ago, the President released another $1billion as Augmentation for d States to share; these kinds of releases hv happened already about 4 times this year. The Sovereign Wealth Fund (which Ameachi and Co also opposed by d way) seed money of $1billion also was released from this Account. Gov Amaechi knows all these.
