Policewoman: Una wey dey call me, wetin una want make i comment for this case now??lol..thank God no bi you o ...... @topic, very interesting and great developments |
Nomski0: This is good news. If only POWER could be stabilized for like 20hours a day, our economy would be out of this continet and straight into international recognition. GEJ please before your tenure ends try and stabilize power. |
Nonybb: FG to built. FG to commission. FG to sign. We are still waiting patiently to see results of anythingMy frnd, d 7 Plants hv bn completed and 3 others almost completed. Proof? 89 top International and Local Investors wud not have bn jostling to pay very Good money (And I mean very good money) to buy these plants if d Govt was playing any games. They are too serious minded for that. That is apart from Video evidences showing these completed plants. Etc, etc... Your doubts are noted; but really doesn't matter |
asha 80:They are. One led by d current Gov and d other by d former Gov Chief Osoba. That was why Osoba, all ACN Senators and Reps members as well as their many supporters boycotted d Launch of APC in Ogun earlier this week by d Amosun group. Same thing happened in d Ekiti and Oyo lauch.... They are all politicians sha fighting to protect their interests, just like those in PDP and others, hence d apparent many intraparty squables |
40,000MW bw 4 and 8 yrs? ie by 2023!!.... APC we no fit wait. We go pass, abeg. 7 out of d new NIPP Power Plants that wud supply about 5000MW (with inbuilt capacity to doubling it over time) hv just been totally completed and will be inaugurated soon, whilst same are already in d process of bn Privatised. Meanwhile, 5 Gencos (plus 2 others) and 10 Discos hv just bn Privatised this week in what is probably d Largest of such Power Privatisation and Reforms anywhere in d world. Etc, etc... We wud 1st see how far these Interesting Happenings lead us. Thnk you very mush |
The usual HYPOCRITES hv all ran away. Them nova see dis thread, abi??.. @OP, Exactly same thing I was saying yterday and this morning |
Thanks to d @OP for helping to burst d silly MYTH that Nigeria is a Rich country. Hopefully we may now begin to get that to our heads; fold up our sleeves and start producing Real Wealth so that d huge POTENTIAL we hv in abundance may become a Reality instead of just sitting in our minds |
take dat: In 2012, the FIRS generated N5trillion or almost $32billion.The tax generated by d FIRS is distributed bw d 3 tiers of Govt (FG, States, LG); whilst, d about $93billion Oil money is d amount gotten from d Export of d Oil ie its Selling Price. The Cost Price (ie d cost of Exploring, Exploiting, Processing, Transporting, Shipping, Insurance, etc) used by d Oil Companies wud hv to subtracted to give d PROFIT. This Profit is then shared bw Nigeria and d Oil Companies in d general ratio 60:40%. This remaining 60% that comes to Nigeria (the Federation Account) is then shared bw d FG, all d States and LG, Derivation to Niger Delta.... Now, do d Maths to know how much d FG receives to fund its budget |
jmaine: This babe dey really fvck up for this threadlol...when does that poster not ffuck up in a thread?? Abeg, make una leave am joo; cut her some slack. She is in heat; she needs d attention... |
Dagoma: I think Ezekwesili is right, she says over 1trillion in 8 yrs, and these Hons confirmed that their budget is 150 billion annually. So, by simple calculation, these Hons swallowed 1.2 trillion in 8 yrs. This is with the exception of 'GHANA MUST GO's' from MDAs and Presidency. Something need to be done urgently. May God change it for better. The Presidency NO LONGA shares any 'Ghana must go' with them anymore. That is one of d biggest problems bw this NA and d Presidency.. |
greaterlove: This guys are funny, Ezekwesili said you have gulped over a trillion naira in 8yrs and you are still arguing that your allocation is only 150billion per year, except my arithmetic is that bad, that still makes it over a trillion naira in 8 years, she is right, they should just own up.lol.... Exactly |
berem: They want to come to Nigeria simply because of the large market available . I hope the government policies does not affect them. Nice development anyway!Come on SHUT UP that ya mouth tha, fast. Didn't Nigeria hv 'a large population' when these companies where leaving in drones?? You just wait till all of them come back, including Michelin ati Dunlop.. |
Demdem: Everything. You no dey shame at all?? |
Demdem:mctchssss.... |
taharqa: So because Ameachi failed to Impose his choice as d Chief Judge of the State, and was correctly overridden by d NJC who insisted on following d setdown rules to appointing Chief Judges, Ameachi decides to boycott a State Judiciary function. The Executive completely boycotting d State Judiciary over failure at try to controlling it- now, that is something I hv NEVER heard of b4 in d chequeched history of obodo Naija.....Just as was suspected and indicated here, Gov Ameachi has just yterday unilaterally Appointed and Imposed a new Chief Judge on d Rivers State Judiciary, against d very Clear wordings of d Constitution (which in Section 217, subsection 4 Expresses state that d Gov may only appoint 'd oldest Judge in d State HIGH COURT' as Acting Chief Judge till d process of Appointing d Substantive one is concluded), and also against d Recommendations of both d NJC and d State Judicial Committee that one Justice Ngozi is d oldest Judge in d State's HIGH COURT. Ameachi appointed d current President of d State Customary Court of Appeal, apparently a lackey, as Acting Chief Judge. His previous Failed attempt to Control d Judiciary by appointing a new Chief Judge cos of d insistence of d Intependent NJC and State Judicial Committee for due process to be followed as spelt out in d constitution (oldest judge in d High Court taking over) was perhaps d reason why he ordered his Executive not to honour this Judicial event; he has gotten it now tru d back door, Or so he thinks..... Just setting d record straight now sha, b4 d usual hefty Propaganda works start to roll in |
drsolob: why dnt sheI knew that one of d plenty Mentally-Challenged KIDS on this NL wud re-echo this point, without thinking. Some of una never disappoints ... 'Bros' when was this hostel project conceived and built, that d President mother should hv 'told his son' to answer ASUU b4 going ahead with d hostel project?? Within d last 2 months of d Strike, perhaps? Or, maybe she cud hv contacted a Witch who wud hv foretold her about a future ASUU strike at this time, so she cud suspend the project, wait until d Strike so she can 'advice' her son and then continue with d project? Abi?.....*smh* |
boron10: You don't have to politicize this. GEJ had nothing to do with it.YES! He didn't do anytin. It just kind of 'happened' like that, ain't?.... Ekpoko |
Under past administrations, we used to hear of companies closing down their Nigeria operations and relocating to Ghana. Under GEJ, we hear of companies closing down their factories in other countries and relocating to Nigeria. Who said GEJ is not working?
Took the words right out of my mouth... |
paddy4destiny: Will there be phcn next month?A Big NO to that, Sir.... Thnk God o |
Obiagelli: Why not go and get your facts about how many the lagos- kano route does. Btw na who you dey call odeOkay, apologies for d use of that word, esp because of that 'f' suffixing yr name. It has bn modified... Every other thing remain same though |
ayox2003: Hahaha NL mods. Old news! Since when...Where you come dey, Frawzo. You travel?.. Greetings |
hercules07: Seven year old article, why are guys so dishonest. It was actuali written about 3 years ago in 2010, just b4 d last election. And NO, it is still very Current; d points, and d HYPOCRISY, I mean..... Abeg Bros, Excusu me, make I laugh small ![]() |
awodman: From what I read in the papers, the payment of the remaining staffs who are mostly of the discos started yesterday. You can say that again. August 21, 2013. The history books wud long rememba.. |
funshint: Shut your trap there! Is selective victimization and political witchhunting part of what police are paid for. I'm not surprised; Mbu is a PDP thug in police uniform. He was also used to victimize opposition politicians when he was in Oyo state under the PDP led administration of Alao Akala. That guy is a crook; having elements like that in Nigerian police portends grave danger for this country.OK. So what are you going to do about it, now? What can you do other than making Lots of Noise here on NL?? What? |
TCUBE: I sometimes wonder if Lagos is still part of Nigeria. Isn't interesting that foreign dignitaries now prefer to meet with a governor instead of the president of the country?PROPAGANDA don turn this one head into a new Crazibee...smfhv. BIG DEAL. Ambassadors visit various State Governors all d time. It is so Routine. The only reason you are over-hearing it in this instance is that d Considerable Lagos Propaganda Machine is playing it over and over again, precisely for Weak minds like yours. I wud say they are doing a 'good' job at that; plenty of such persons around... |
Again?? |
..... Kai!! |
Goddex: Mbu, that some of you ignorant peeps rant your tongue about is a core professional. The IG knows this. Ameachi is sponsoring a propaganda for his sack because Mbu refused to do his bidding on the Rivers State PDP chairmanship issue which Mbu instead opted to implement a court order. Ameachi had directed Mbu not to implement a court ruling replacing the PDP chairman in the state which Mbu refused. You dey mind d Ijiots who rely on NOISEMAKING to advance their political interest. PATHETIC, right? But d most Pathetic of all is that these Clowns hv not yet been able to crasp, even in d tiniest smallest way, d resolve of d person they are dealing with- GEJ; they hv choosen to bliv their own Propaganda and Noisemaking. When last did GEJ change his mind cos of d Intensity of Noisemaking done by a few?? When last? They know Nothing!!...... By d way, Ameachi and entire his Executive (including d State AttorneyGeneral) just yterday completely boycotted d Valedictory Service for d State Chief Judge apparently cos he failed, over d directives of d NJC, to impose his choice of Chief Judge on d State Judiciary. This is d 1st time I am hearing of any such boycott, ever. Expect d usual Noisemaking to follow, soon.. |
So because Ameachi failed to Impose his choice as d Chief Judge of the State, and was correctly overridden by d NJC who insisted on following d setdown rules to appointing Chief Judges, Ameachi decides to boycott a State Judiciary function. The Executive completely boycotting d State Judiciary over failure at try to controlling it- now, that is something I hv NEVER heard of b4 in d chequeched history of obodo Naija..... |
This one sef is even better than what happened in Ogun State yterday ..... |
berem: Shaking my head!Until the head breaks off.. Amen to that |
Symphony007: @mrexcel.....thanks for your cool write up but i won't go as long as you did. I'll surmarize my points in a few words. Nigeria has the population that is willing to spend money on mass movement. Air travel is very expensive even for the buisness man who uses it and the poor who don't so imagine a comfortable rail network that is fast and everyone can afford based on their class. It will be a revenue boom, it will make nigeria smaller, i can live in one city and work in another, buisness will flow, that is the parameter contries like china and india use when building stuff like this. They have the population that needs moving and that is why gulf nations with all their money don't build it because, there is no one to use it. The revenue from it will far surpass whatever was spent. All your figures are nice but they don't cut to the chase. We can afford it and the benefits both in revenue and optics will surpass the cost. I refer you to my above posts for futhur explanations. You know you are PATHETIC, sha. So this beautiful thrash above is yr idea of a response to the Well research and written post by that poster, abi? EVERY SINGLE point you hv used to try to portray your argument here hv been drawn from an Unbelievably naive well of IGNORANCE; it cud hv been so damn surprising, if not that it is coming from you.. |
