Mek I hear word!
Most of U on this forum are busy comparing Pat.Jonathan with Wole Soyinka, and passing your biased verdict that one is superior to the other. Who is the inferior human between them? For all of you who are in this category, which human being on earth possesses the monopoly of knowledge and wisdom?
For your information, all forms and levels of knowledge, or its acquisition are relative.
Besides, who told you that educational attainment is the best, or the only yardstick for assessment of homo serpiens in relations to their successes, achievements or well-livings?
If Wole Soyinka was that high and mighty, why did he condescend so low to bandy words with a 'common' First Lady? If he had a thing to opine that could help Pat.Jonathan to adjust in behaviour or political stands, couldn't he have written to the Woman other than do so via a Press Conference?
Many are asking today the offence of Ameachi, as if we've forgotten so soon that this same 'APC-Ameachi' threw caution, regard and respect to the wind and used different public foras to criticise and codemn certain of GEJ's policies, as though he couldn't do that in camera.
When you have a 'perceived' ill feeling over your father's or elder brother's action, don't say so at home, wait untill members of the public are gathered before you confront him. HE WILL QUITE APPLAUDE YOU!
GEJ is a disgrace to the office of the presidency. His greed for power will see him destroy the Nation and spill the blood of Nigerians.

1. Destroying the North by sponsoring Boko Haram and later sending in soldiers to finish what his BH people started.

2. Arming and financing ND militants.

3. Attempting to bring BH to SW.

4. Arming OPC and other secret cults.

5. Sending thugs and murderers to destabilize Rivers state...

And the list goes on...

Could a non-reasonable fellow be this 'whacky' over an unconfirmed crunchy report from a wishy-washy, shaky-shady online media?

If only you understand the different responsibilities of the THREE ARMS OF GOVERNMENT, you will know that the Executive does not implement/Execute any Law not approved by the Legislature!
If only you can also come into terms with the fact that Budgets/Appropriations are passed by the Legislature in what is called ' Appropriation Bill', some of you will slow down.
Fact is, the Executive does not spend any money not approved by the Legislature.
Incase you need further tutorials on who is the Executive and who is the Legislature in ths twist, you can meet Suen, he knows how to contact me.
As for the matter on ground, I'm not aligning with Adams, AT ALL. Let him consult that third Arm of Government (they don't consider important), to seek redress!
You too don't seem to know your social studies very well. The National assembly do not pass appropriation bill for states. The various states Assemblies does that while the National assembly passes only that of the federal government. Money that are appropriated are monies jointly shared by the three tiers of government from the consolidated revenue fund. Only the States assemblies are usurping the power of the local governments to appropriate their own. So Oshomhole may have taken 'something' before making such statement.
U're correct and incorrect!
Correct in the sense that the Nat. Assembly does not appropriate monies/budgets spent/meant to be spent by States.
Incorrect in the sense that all monies shared/distributed/released/given by the Federal Govt. must first be approved by the Nat. Assembly.
No revenue of Govt. is expended without approval.
DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

Having said that, I hereby move a motion that BBA threads be relegated to the Entertainment section. Let it be so moved.

franchizy: I ve said it over and over dat d only solution to dis Boko Haram menace is 4 GEJ to suspend the state of emergency, appologise to the Northern Elders forum, dialogue and grant Boko Haram Amnesty, rebuild all mosque. The military can't win d war cos 80% of Boko Haram are from d SS, SE and SW and are christians who are used to tannish d image of d North and kill our people but Allah will fight 4 d North and vindicate us.
Many of d Boko Haram sponsors are from d SS, SE and SW all in d name of Power but the North must complete there remaining 4yrs come 2015.

It's too bad and unfortunate that the unpopular pull-him-down tendency/syndrome is inherent in some Nigerians.
Some of the people in this category have tended towards sadism. This is because when criticism has surpassed correction and construction, it's something else.
What do some people gain by tearing the country, her structures and people apart? Why fan the embers of disunity, enmity and bad-blood?
No matter the good thing that has occured, there are persons that would never appreciate it.
Nigeria belongs to all of us. We have the responsibility to defend her, protect her and promote her, vis-a-vis, her structures and people.
Let's desist from tokenism!

Thank U very much for that information.
But the common front the two of us may not differ on is that we both wish the road was constructed!
Having said that, getting the refunds for earlier Fed.Govt. roads consructed by the Lagos State is not a dead end. There are approaches to things.
Some approaches yield positive results, others yield de opposite.
I therefore advice the LSG to learn, adopt and practice the art of lobby. It's a globally acceptable instrument.
PoliticsRe: The State Of Lagos-badagry Express Road. by talk2s(m): 2:36pm On Jun 12, 2013
I truly sympathise with both the occupants of that area and the users of that road. But at the same time, let me be very blunt while expecting attacks and criticisms:
It's a Federal Road.
And so?
Lagos is the richest State in the Federation!
Let the Lagos State Govt construct and get the refunds from the Federal Govt.
That is what the Federal Govt has since agreed with State Govts.
It is easier and faster that way.
All what the State Govt needs to do is to apply to the Fed.Govt. though the Ministry of Works stating the need to constuct the road, her resolve to so do and the cost implication. After some assessments, approvals are granted.
That is what Obong Godswill Akpabio, whom most of U have refused to acknowledge that he's the most performing Governor in Nigeria does.
So far he's constructed 3 : Itam- Calabar\Itu; Abak-Essien Udim and Aka -Nung Udoe Roads and has gotten refunds for them. He's on the 4th one now: Dualization of Uyo\Ikot Ekpene- Aba Road.
Fashola should follow suit. He is equall ro the task.
PoliticsRe: Oil Marketers Threaten To Stop Importation by talk2s(m): 3:04pm On Jun 11, 2013
They don't want to be sincere to themselves.
Is it becuase the Govt. of the day has decided to curtail their excesses and reduce their fraud. It can't always be business as usual. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
Nigeria must move forward. My candid advice to them all is to tighten their belt and be set for a drastis reduction in their 'awuf'
I so move! Any seconder?
PoliticsRe: Rivers ACN Blast Tinubu For Meeting With Amaechi by talk2s(m): 8:00am On Jun 07, 2013
KwoiZabo: How can a PDP gov. Openly condemn the FG for neglecting the east-west rd. That's an anti-party activity. He has the PDP NEC meeting to say that. Imagine an LG chair doing that in lagos state what would be his fate
This is the first time someone, who knows better has really hit the nail on the head.
My take ever since this Amaeachi of a Governor started openly condemning the Govt. at de centre has always been: Does he not have a myriad of fora to politely differ, protest, criticise or opine on the various policies or lines of action of his party (PDP) led Federal Government or its Leader, Mr. President's? But rather, he choses to throw caution to the wind and uses all opportunities to destroy his superiors.
Radicalism or stubbornness without caution would only cause a man penury, flirtatiousness and peacelessness.
People close to him should advise him to end undue flippancy!
