Kinkybraids: Im glad we partially agree on something. But the part about being submissive still leaves me unsettled.

What does being submissive have to do with respect? I feel like I can still respect you as my equal. Its an African concept that being a good wife is all about submission...I disagree with this.

Kinkybraids: Before a woman had to be submissive since men were breadwinners and she really couldnt dare challange him but now things are changing as a woman Id like to be with a man but I dont need him so the thought of me being submissive to a man who is as much my equal as i am to him...I just cant.

Kinkybraids: I can merely respect him if his actions are worthy of such. I sincerely believe there are men who dont need a submissive woman to feel like a real man.

Kinkybraids: I look at my mother and I respect her because it takes a lot of descipline to be submissive and ussually involves a lot of fear or trust. I dont believe many young women nowadays have that sort of descipline...myself included.
