Politics / Re: 'Fulani Must Go': Edo Women Protest, Block Major Roads (Photos, Video) by Tango123: 2:41pm On Feb 03, 2021

Hmmmm
After the Fulanis who is going to be next? The Igbos in the southwest, the Yorubas up north, the hausas in the east?
This ethnic profiling approach to fighting crime must stop or we would all be caught up in it. Individuals and groups of criminals should be held culpable of their criminality, it is injustice and indeed primitive to label a whole tribe criminals.
Even as the government has failed in the area of security and general oversight, addressing the issue should not be made a tribal vigilante styled crusade.

Again after the Fulanis, who's next?

What did u say or do wjen fulani kill people

Or u want Edo people to allow themselves to be killed to extinction

Phones / Re: Government Moves NIN-SIM Linkage Deadline To April 6 by Tango123: 9:41am On Feb 02, 2021

This why it is good to carryout proper research before policy formulation. Had it been the Agency carried out research, it would have enabled them to determine how many minutes it takes to register a person, how many persons a center can register in a day and how long will it take to register over 100 million subscribers based on available resources.
This would have given the policy makers idea on how to set a realistic deadline.

Just waking up and set 2 weeks deadline doesn't show the preparedness.

It shows stupidity

I can't be a victim of Herdsmen, it's those that have voted them. We evict them in my place.

When they have finished with yoruba, they will come for u and ur people

Fulani does divide and rule. They pick village by village. They know that if the whole country stand against them, they wont win. So they go village by village. They will come for ur village soon. Ur turn is coming

Continue, until u run into them on the road while driving. Continue, until some one dear to u becomes a victim of killer herdsmen

I jope all yorubas who play tribal politics here and condemn ipob can now enjoy the chicken they bought

Instead of all Southern Nigeria to unite, we allow ourselves to be divided

The enemy of the yoruba is not the Igbos. The enemy igbos is not yoruba. Oir collective enemy are the herdsmen.

Boycott beef.

Instead of beating ur chest and fighting tribal wars on nairaland.com, boucott beef and all beef products. U will not die if u dont eat beef

Lets make this a trending hashtag

#boycottbeef

Join the fight. Spread the news. #boycottbeef

Lockdown... NIN rush? What about market rush, church rush, mosque rush, school rush, party rush, EndSars protests rush, election rush, and several other rushes? undecided Blame ignorant, lawless and lazy Nigerians for flouting the Covid-19 safety protocols..

Anyway, let them declare another lockdown since Nigerians are by default LAWLESS. Shikena!

It's well.

Apart from NIN, which is compulsory under threat of ur line being blocked, others are voluntary

We are not supposed to in my opinion but most states are charging as much as 5,000 naira and above for it. And no one has challenged them.

The level of open corruption in Nigeria is something else

I am sure Pantamu and other bosses get a cut. If not, it wont happen so blatantly and openly

I will not pay for it. I will keep waiting until it becomes free and easily accessible. Let them block my line. Life goes on

They should make it affordable. There are so many that can't pay for it. They should remember that there are millions of poor Nigerians who can hardly afford two meals per day. The phones they use are even held by rubber bands. I recommend 1k or they should even make it free.

Are we supposed to pay for it? Tell me something

Hello nairalanders. I've been seeing this guy for about a year now. I'm 22 and he's 38 and doing very well. For this 1 year I've been with him, I've been getting some redflags which I'm not happy with. I'm an independent lady, I have a very lucrative business that I do of which he knows but he doesn't know how lucrative it is. I'm not the kind of girl that begs for money but as a man, even your girl doesn't ask you for money, I think you should give her something once in while but since I started dating him, he has given me nothing. Towards the end of last year, I decided to test him and ask, he started lamenting about how he has been helping a lot of family and friends blah blah blah.... But he will see what he can do. The next day he sent 7k when I asked for 10k. I don't know if it's because I don't sleep with him because I told him no sex before marriage. I want to give my virginity to my husband. Now during Christmas and new year, he didn't even give me a dime and I didn't ask either. Yesterday was my birthday and I reminded him on Wednesday and he didn't even call me on my birthday. It really broke my heart. This man is very wealthy and he's behaving like this towards me, I don't what to think anymore. Guys, how do you see this?

U have no entitlement to his money.

Go make urs

How much have u given him

I never posted that foster care is the best option for a child because I recognise the abuse children go through in the system, I merely referred to what was written in the original post.

I know am going to work with kids like the Doctor's son as I am heading there in a couple of months to pursue my specialty in Clinical Child Psychology and in the future may be involved in assessments and providing psychosupport for kids in the foster care system.

Fantastic career. Welldone

Sorry it seemed i misunderstood you

The son was temporarily put in foster care. It is not Nigeria where that is always the argument in defense of an abusive parent/spouse even in the face of what the Nigerian law considers as an abuse.

U need to do a research on the impact of foster care on kids

Foster care is not as good as u think. A lot of evil happens in foster care.

Many foster parents are in it for the money govt pays them to look after the kids. Many dont care shit about morals and behaviour of the child. So far as the foster child dont trash their homes, and dont disturb them, they are happy. What d foster child becomes in the future is non of their business

I realised I shouldn't have gone that far. I should have just be calmed and let her do her wish

Maybe she secretly knows u are secretly monitoring her whatsapp, and has resortrd to only voice calls with the guy
