Exactly. Until people realise that the behaviour of such bosses are not normal, then it will not change.
Sadly, some people will have to pay a price to make such a change happen in order for some Bosses or Business owners to behave themselves.

Technically yes, but this is Nigeria, they may give him problems for not having an entry visa on his passport, then he then has to start to explain how he is possession of a Uk passport issued in London with no entry visa and you know how Nigerians are!! it's not illegal to post a passport but we are talking about Nigerian Immigration here.

Then again they may not give him problems because he is a kid. But technically speaking they have no reason to deny him, it is not illegal to post a passport. However they may say that since he is presenting a foreign passport (without a secondary Nigerian passport) he is presenting himself to immigration as a foreigner (which by the letter of the law is correct) and therefore should have a visa on his passport.

Nigeria passport is only relevant when travelling to Nigeria. From Nigeria to abroad it’s immaterial regardless of age. I’ve never used my Nigerian passport when returning to Britain but just the U.K. passport and same is true for my niece who’s 12 and has been to Nigeria a few times now

While you can do that, its not quite right. If you are using British Passport to leave, you also need to show how you came into Nigeria, since the British passport does not have a record of you arriving Nigeria. Because it is Nigeria, you may be able to get away with it if you are not able to produce a Nigerian passport.

Immigration will ask him for his Nigerian passport. If he is British, the question will be how did he come to Nigeria without a Visa on the British passport? if he was born in Nigeria, never had a Nigerian passport and never left until now, that would need to be explained.

Third class citizen? Are many Nigerians not "3rd class citizens" in their own country. Check out the Tribalism issue in Nigeria.

Good morning

I gained admission to study in a federal university in Nigeria in 2019 but due to ASUU strike I didn't resume until 2021.

During the wait,I decided I wanted to study in Canada.So I applied to Canadian schools before I resumed in the federal university last year.

Before the end of 100level,I applied for my visa in October and due to delay I had to defer to Sept 2022.

My parents said I should continue studying in the federal university pending the time I get my visa.

The issue is I was asked to withdraw from my faculty in school because I didn't get the required points to move to 200 level.
My parents are advising me to change to a lower course that I can't sit at home that it would bring disgrace to them.

Right now, I'm so confused.Should I listen to their advice or wait for my visa and learn skills while waiting

You need to tell us what course you are studying so that people can give you better advice.
If you are not studying a very difficult course, then maybe your drive to go to Canada made you not to focus so much on your studies here, except there are concrete reasons why you did not perform so well. Nevertheless, your parents advice is good.

Also, you didn't tell us your chances of getting the visa to Canada and paying the fees. Maybe your parents can afford it. We all know that affordability is not all and the Canadian High Commission can still refuse visa.

If you are lucky to get a visa you will be stamped in for 3-6months and if you stayed longer than that you are an illegal immigrant. Once you became an illegal immigrant your uncle has an upper hand, you will be totally under his control.

He is not sending you to any school, if he has the money to send you to school he will use it to employ a nanny for those kids

They are the best students from Lagos State. It was not clearly stated but they said " in the state who achieved the best results in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)". It can be inferred.

They build underpass and the next thing it gets flooded after a heavy rain or flash floods. I hope they put proper drainage.
