I loved Budapest when I visited. Really looking forward to going there again.

It isn't an expensive city and the Goulash soup was fantastic.

$12 billion for a similar capacity refinery in Brazil.

Obviously, the man knows what he's talking about, but ignorant Nigerian youths always thing they know more than the experts when in fact they don't know jack..

3 or 4 years from now, please do show me a working PH refinery producing even 100,000 bpd.

We all know where the money will end up. Sham rehabilitation.

By the way, Brazil is also a hotbed of corruption and I know that well. So, it isn't a good yardstick for comparison.

Last TAM was badly carried out but we did not hear that anyone was held accountable for it. Neither the Contractor nor those supervising the maintenance or who awarded the contract. Needless to say that it was an avenue for siphoning money and a sham TAM.

That is because when you receive money through domiciliary accounts, it is not seen as remittance. That is bank to bank transactions

International money transfer organization is all about remittance and the cbn naira to dollars promo is for only remittance

How is receiving money in dom account not classed as remittance? The only way to receive money now in Nigeria through international money transfer organisations or international banks is into a dom account.

first off, that is the amount of SODIUM in the pack, not the amount of sodium chloride in it
Secondly, I can't see where they wrote it was in the noodles alone, not the seasoning

They neglected to put chloride there as it would be easily detected as salt.
Then they did not put salt and called it sodium so that it will not be easily recognisable. That is clearly wrong and will not be allowed in developed societies. It needs to be labelled as Salt!

His mistake was not seeing the signs early enough. If you insist on keeping your wife and family with you in the UK, you need to take financial precautions; like keeping the bulk of your savings in offshore accounts that she is not aware of, including her name on the mortgage papers and getting your kids acclimatized to staying with your parents in Nigeria. So as soon as you see signs of her misbehaviour, you pack up and leave her hanging. The court cannot award her what they can't find. Well, too late now.

Tell him to suspend the search for a job until the court case is all wrapped up. There's very little she can gain from him now; the court cannot order a jobless man to either pay alimony or child support. After that, he can relocate to another town, pick up the pieces and try to get visitation rights. Over time, it will resolve itself.

Many ladies do their homework about all your assets before the "show" begins. If any hidden assets not declared are made known to the courts even after the divorce proceedings are over, the case may be reopened and you will pay dearly for not declaring it.

Get him to sign up to universal credit so he can pay his rent and feed first. He needs to pick up the pieces and move on.

I will never fight over children. When they grow up, they have a way of looking for a missing parent. that vacuum is always there in them

I'm not sure universal credit can pay his rent. he needs to go to his council and declare homelessness. He can go onto the housing register but his turn will not reach for the next 3 years to be given a single flat because a single man is the least priority on the housing list. Sick and vulnerable people, single parents, families, single women all have higher priority on the list. A single man is the least priority on that list. With homelessness, that is the only way council can give him money for rent and that will be for one room in a shared house or apartment at no more than about £500 a month is what councils can afford.

That's how a random woman called me from canada pleading for a medical report.
Said the content should be that when she was in Nigeria 2016, she was admitted in my hospital because her husband beat her while she was pregnant and that she lost consciousness for some days.
I asked what she needed it for, she said nothing that she only wanted to keep it. She offered me 200k, I rejected it without thinking twice.

Na so she go use am go destroy another person life. I will never be an accomplice to someone else's downfall. I can't sell my conscience for money.

People in Canada have become experts in getting various types of letters (financial, bank accounts, IOU, medical) from Nigeria to back up their divorce cases and the Canadian courts take those letters very seriously. So I am not surprised about what you wrote.

monfizzy:

Hmmm why’s it so...coz I was once denied?

Yes, it is because you were once denied a US visa. There will be a question asked on the form which says have you been denied US visa before and if you say yes, that will automatically turn the application to a manual approval. Any such question when it is answered yes, the system is programmed not to give automatic approval as a British citizen or ESTA qualified applicant. Your form will revert to be reviewed manually. The CBP officer will then check why you were refused as a Nigerian citizen back then and will check other things and if satisfied, will approve it manually and you will get your 2 year permission to visit the US.

Note that you must declare the visa refusal and if you don't, you will likely be excluded from visiting the US for a long time.

Tell him to relocate to a better country...and eke his living....when the time comes the children will look for their daddy. Because if he continues this way, he might die prematurely....and that will make his wife happy...

So, let him move away, and keep track of his children...life is too short....he shouldn't spend it on bemoaning runaway wife...

Unfortunately, he cannot relocate to another country apart from Nigeria except he is a citizen there. Relocation is not an easy thing as you would have to start from scratch and you will not have any credit record and that is not easy. Anything you want to apply for, they will do a credit check and if you are new and don't have a record, they are likely to deny you.

ASUNDER:
My friend is currently going through a divorce in the UK and having a hell of a time. His wife mounted as many allegations on him as possible during separation - domestic violence, marital rape, child abuse, drugs and alcohol use, adultery, forgery just to name a few. He had to leave the house. He has moved to a room in a shared house and now even struggling to pay the rent. He does not see his kids anymore (not by choice). He is very broke and in debt because of all that is going on. He can no longer afford a lawyer. He feels so powerless, helpless and hopeless that he cannot fight most of what his wife is putting him through in court. He represents himself these days.

He has stopped looking after himself and is always looking sad . He also lost his job due to his arrest and all the drama. He was arrested because he tried to go see his kids at his former home and his wife called the police that she was afraid of him and that he had come to harass her. Police arrested him even without any traces of any harassment. Note that he moved out of the family house voluntarily thinking that the period of separation would ease tension between him and his wife.

I always feel sad seeing him in this state and just wish that he could recover and bounce back. He is considering moving back to Nigeria.

Have you gone through divorce in the UK or do you know anyone who has? What was the experience and what advice would you give someone going through this?

Thank you.

There is really not much he can do about it. The law favours the woman especially if they have kids. My white neighbour and his wife who are a relatively young couple have two children and when they had marital disagreement, he was the one that had to move out of the house. Luckily for him, his parents do not live far away so he moved to their house. He has a job so can at least fend for himself. Many Nigerian men are in the same boat as this man and are really struggling and that's why there are so many single and divorced older men here. He may even be the one still paying for the mortgage in the house that he is not living in and the lady could bring another man to the house to stay. He should focus on himself, but if he doesn't have a good job, then his life will be one of continuous struggle as he will not be able to get a new mortgage and will be living from hand to mouth or will be depending on the Government for pittance. To be honest, it is a difficult decision but if he thinks there is really no hope, maybe he should return to Nigeria and try to make something out for himself. His children will look for him when they are older. If he remains here he would need to work really hard to turnaround his situation.

They should paint the roof with a special white colour. It would reflect the sun and keep the building cooler. It is being done in some Supermarkets in France and would even make more sense in a warm and sunny climate.

A real good man will not give you such a condition before connecting you to a job. The problem is that people have come to regard such things as normal in Nigeria. At best, if Mr Richard really needs some money, he can say please give me whatever you can from from your salary and it is left to the discretion of the person to give whatever he feels like.

When you say men serve for one full year or more before they are settled, they are indeed working for someone and in return, that person will settle them so that they can own and manage their own business. Remember that when you serve someone, it is not all about getting money at the end of your time to start your own business. You will learn the ropes of the trade and not take on any business risk during that time as you don't own the Business, but you need to help your "Master" grow his business too. That is a mutual benefit and helps young people get into jobs. Apprenticeship is normal and even in developed societies, there is some form of that in companies.

Mr Richard is not a good man but there is nothing much you can do about it now.
If you don't currently have a job and you are not sure you will earn anything in the next few months or if your current salary is far lower than the 80k, then I would say you should take the job.

One day one day, Mr Richard will pay for what he has done or been doing to people. He will come to you in future for help and you can decide what to do then. For now, treat it like a commission fee you have to pay.
