moo idensko: I am not against having a Rail that connects SS/SE Region, but wouldn't that amount to Capital and industrial flight to SW,
Come to think of it a functional and well secured COMMODITY PORT in SS AND ANOTHER IN SE WILL CREATE A THOUSAND TIMES EMPLOYMENT AND CAPITAL INFLOW TO THESE REGION, EVEN CALABAR, A SEAPORT IN CALABAR HAS BECOME A ROCKET SCIENCE AFTER private
Investors has invested a lot into this project, nobody is talking about CALABAR Port again, TINAPA FREE TRADE ZONE IS LANGUISHING IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE.
A FUNCTIONAL CALABAR PORT WILL INCREASE THERE IGR A THOUSAND FOLDS MORE THAN A RAIL.
RATHER THAN HAVING A RAIL that will encourage the INDEGENIOUS and Multinational industry to migrate to SW.
THE SW knows this fact, that's why you see most of dre so called activist shouting on top of there Voice.
I mean if I am an investor, why would I be bothered about having my industry in SSSE WHEN I can manufacture close to the Port and easily transportit with a functional Rail down SSSE REGIONS.
IT IS THE COST OF TRANSPORTING THERE FINISHED GOODS THAT MADE SOME OF THIS INDUSTRY MOVE TO SSSE STATE
ELSE THEY WOULD HAVE EASILY MANUFACTURED CLOSE TO THE SEAPORT.
TAKE AWAY THAT FACTOR BY INTRODUCING A RAIL!!!!!
We just have the Laziest and the self centered Politicians in SS/SE REGION.
I CAN JUST COMPREHEND HOW JONATHAN SPENT 6 yrs and could not give SS A SEAPORT.
CONCLUSION:
If the federal government can do both @ once, that's excellent!!!!
But if we were to choose we choose a functional SEAPORT IN PH, CALABAR AND ANOTHER IN ABIA STATE. Through AZUMINI RIVER which is just 5 nautical miles from OCEAN.

tuale4u: We should commend d president 4 listening to us on nairaland and Nigeria masses in general for reducing aso rock feeding from 500million naira in d first version to 100Million naira in the new version.
This is better than in d past were president defend 1billion naira for Aso rock feeding
We should commend d president for reducing Car in presidency from 3.4billion in d first version to 340million in the new one. That is 90% drop.
I agree he was not well advised on how to go about it, but it was done with d interest of d masses. But we should focus on end point of the action and not on frivolities PDP are feeding d masses with.
We should understand that Buhari was not under any compulsion to reduce some of those extravagance. He could have ignored d criticism of d masses and leave the waste in d budget. But he listen to us and amended it.
Why is it not an issue in the House of Representative? The Budget was not only given to Senate. The budget was presented to Joint National Assembly. Not to senate alone. House of rep has no issue with d amendment. But criminal Saraki in d senate is trying to over blow it to protect himself from code of conduct tribunal because the supreme court decision is close by on the 5th of February. He is wasting his time. If Saraki thinks he can connive with PDP to blackmail the president into killing the anti-corruption drive of the president, he is making a big mistake .
The Budget has not be signed into law. It has not be approve. So it can be changed or ammended. The president saw an error and chose to correct. I agree and prefer that the president should have been more open about it even though wailers could have as well wail and call him incompetent. I believe he was wrongly advised on how to do it, but the overall intention is noble. Nigerians should learn to praise noble things rather than destroying it with useless technicalities and partisanship.
PDP should not be taken seriously because they dont care a bit about Nigeria masses. They only care about protecting thier criminal members and looters.
Next time the president must ensure he prove read every document before making it public to avoid this kind of embarrassment in the future.
As far as i am concern, this whole noise on d budget is due to the fact that the President and Saraki are not in good terms. So senate President is making unneccessary noise about it.
There is no illegality in what d presidency did. No law was broken. He may have missed some protocol in doing it, no single law was broken.
As a member of Nigeria masses, I know when things is done for the interest of d masses. This case is clearly in d interest of d masses. I will rather focus on d nobility of the intention and action of the president, than focus on the technicality which is being overblown out of proportion in d senate by the senate president to protect himself from prosecution.
I have seen both version. They are almost 99% the same. The majoy difference is the reduction in Extravagance in the presidency in the new one.
The senate is a joke for childishly over blowing and dramatising the issue.
THE BUDGET WAS SUBMITTED TO BOTH SENATE AND HOUSE OF REP. HOUSE OF REP SPEAKER SAID NOTHING IS MISSING WHY IS SENATE PRESIDENT MAKING ALL THE NOISE God bless for bringing it out quite exactly as it is.... It's so sad that there's so much manipulations out there that's hard to discern the truth. D ever advancing IT makes it even more difficult, but wit intelligent minds like this, d challenges will always b overcome |

RothmasPop: http://penastory.com/2016/01/07/advice-me-is-it-wrong-if-i-get-married-to-my-late-sisters-husband/
I know my story sounds like something that many people have heard in times past before but really it is troubling me. I am a spinster of thirty-two years old and my love for Literature made me join your channel. I must say that you guys are doing a great job by the way.
I used to have a twin sister who passed away in the early months of 2015 after about three years of marriage. Before her death, I was a regular visitor at her house and have a cordial relationship with her husband. The death of my sister came as a result of child birth and I took over taking care of her baby boy that she left behind. My taking care of the boy also mean’t that I put my own life on pause and started living with my late sister’s husband in order to be able to take care of the boy.
You might ask why we didn’t take the boy away to nurture him but her husband insisted that the baby was all of my sister that he had left and could not bear to be parted with him. I settled into the place of my sister and soon found myself cooking his meal, washing his clothes and taking care of the house and life soon went back to normal.
In November however, he started making advances towards me saying that I a a good woman and he sees no reason why we can not get married. I have not looked at him romantically before this time but when he brought up the issue of marriage, I began to see him in this light.
I have not been married before and I want to know if it would be a bad thing if I got married to my late sister’s husband and our father is late so I wouldn’t want to do anything that would upset our aged mother.
Please what do you think I can do?

Politics › Re: Biafra: Kanu A Bigger Crowd-puller Than Buhari, Says Kukah by tayejay(m): 2:27pm On Dec 13, 2015 |
noetic5: The Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Kukah, has said nothing was wrong with the agitation for Biafra by members of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra.
Kukah, who said this on Friday night at the convocation lecture of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, added that the pro-Biafra agitators were exercising the freedom of expression.
The clergyman advised the Federal Government to partner with the Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, saying the government should seek to do business with him because of his charisma.
The bishop further said no Nigerian politician could mobilise a huge number of supporters like Kanu without paying them, saying the government did not need to hound this kind of person but to partner with him.
Kukah said: “This country cannot continue this way. MASSOB has right to demand Biafra since we have freedom of expression. The problem of Nigeria should not be with Kanu but should be with who let the door open.
“The President of Nigeria or any governor, unless he pays, cannot bring the number of people that Kanu brought out. The anxiety of Nigeria should be that a young man who can bring out such great number of people is worth doing business with.”
The cleric also bemoaned the state of Nigerian universities. He said the management as well as lecturers should be blamed if some students failed to graduate.
Kukah stated that students had a say in the promotion of their lecturers in some universities but that was not the case in the nation’s varsities.
“Elsewhere, students have a say in the promotion of their teachers but here in Nigeria, too many evils are being committed. We need a generation of lawyers and judges who can bend the arc of justice in favour of the poor,” he added.
In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor of the OAU, Prof. Bamitale Omole, said the university remained the best in the country, saying many feats had been achieved since he assumed office.
