rita25:The swift response was because the officers were on high risk alert before. police patrol team attached to the Anti-Pipeline Vandalism Intelligence UnitObviously they were well kitted already and ready for anything. |
pacretus:Exactly what I was thinking. |
Henry240:Exactly. I do not know why he keep insisting on upgrade. |
dubemnaija:OP try and learn. The Arabic script has been there even before Burutai was born. Nasrunminallah meaning Victory Comes From God Alone This particular motto was inscribed on the banner under which the Nigerian indigenous forces battled against the invading colonial forces. It symbolizes the fact that the Nigerian Army stands to defend the territorial integrity of the country at all times. The motto was formerly that of Shehu Usman Dan Fodio, head of the Sokoto Caliphate. Contrary to what many think, the inclusion of the Arabic motto was not done singlehandedly by General Muhammadu Buhari (now president) or by northern elders but by the British. The original reason for Arabic was that Frederick Lugard (who was the first Commander of the West African Frontier Force (1897 – 99) and later the first High Commissioner of Northern Nigeria (1899 – 1906); and later the Governor of the protectorates of Northern and Southern Nigeria (1912 – 1914); and finally the first Governor General of post-amalgamation Nigeria (1914 – 1919 ); identified Arabic the only written “indigenous” language anywhere in Nigeria/West Africa, particularly among the widely spread Hausa trader class across the region. (See Lugard report to Parliament, 1919) Arabic inscriptions were, therefore, used as symbols, not only for currency but even on official West African Frontier Force badges etc… which persist until today in Nigerian Army badges etc… |
Krak:...and what did I type before? The comparison with mig 21 is based on how lethal it was/is. Using the word upgraded doesn't feel appropriate as it is a whole new aircraft with less/few similarities with the Mig-21/ F-7 tho and with more advance avionics.

Zoharariel:What is this shiit all about? |
Legitbaba:Those are our national assets. The drug issue is Indonesia. You don't go against a country's law. |
Famsey:go and bring your own first class or 2:1 from a UK university. Hater. |
Using the word since buhari came in is wrong. . Does Nigeria even have a research and development agency? Most of these sectors/ministries are just there before. |
Tecno makes good phones. However, you can't compare the above phone to S6 not to talk of S7 |

NO PAIN, NO GAIN. Easy should not be an option when you are in need of success. |
millionaireman:USA blew up her own citizen with explosive. |
lefulefu:Chinese manufactures JF-17 with pakistan . Most technology induced are mostly Chinese and Russians. Chinese manufactures good jets i see no reason why they should be called fake. |
Krak:Tucanos are replacing the Alpha jets. The JF17 is an upgraded 4th generation capable of competing with F-15, Tejas, Mig series and Gripen. https://i69.photobucket.com/albums/i65/elite-falcon07/stealthmiradge.jpg |

NB: OLD VIDEO GRAPHIC CONTENT. Now someone should tell me what on earth was the Air force doing during this attack? I got really angry watching heroes being murdered by some useless ragtag terrorists. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdZrQg0Ds4M&bpctr=1470040747 |
Henry240:yea the OC-135 is used under the Open Skies Treaty. That treaty allows both countries to fly unarmed observation aircraft over each other's territory with each country crew present on board. |
missunfettered:Obviously there are. Don't be surprised when you start hearing pidgin at the airport. ![]() |
hungryboy:You just called a lieutenant general a coward? Man you will never say this shiit in the presence of NSCDC officials not to even talk of recruits in the army. |
Peace be unto Nigeria. |
US military plane makes emergency landing on Russian airstrip. Washington (CNN)At the same time that political tensions between Washington and Moscow were raging this week, the US and Russia calmly handled the emergency landing of a US military aircraft in western Siberia, according to the Pentagon. The incident occurred Wednesday when the landing gear of a US observation flight malfunctioned and the plane had to make an unplanned landing in a Russian airstrip near the Chinese border. The OC-135B observation aircraft had taken off from a Russian airfield at Ulan Ude for a scheduled observation flight conducted under the terms of the Open Skies Treaty. That treaty allows both countries to fly unarmed observation aircraft over each other's territory. The flights are intended to be confidence-building measures and are subject to provisions for openness and transparency on the information being collected via cameras and other sensors. On this mission, the US aircraft -- with Russian observers on board -- took off to start its designated observation flight plan, but the aircraft landing gear did not retract. The US commander, in cooperation with the Russian escort crew on board diverted the aircraft to Khabarovsk "so the aircraft could exit Russia in the most direct route possible," Pentagon spokeswoman Lt. Col. Michelle L. Baldanza told CNN. "Due to aircraft performance limitations associated with summer temperatures and the landing gear malfunction, the Khabarovsk runway represented the only safe location to land." That airfield is not normally used under the treaty for US aircraft to exit out of Russia. The Russian on-board crew verified that no imagery was collected during the flight and the aircraft then flew on to Japan, where it is being repaired. The Pentagon was adamant this was not a spy mission because all portions of the flight and sensor equipment on board are open to the Russians to observe. |

Nigeria’s Tiny, Low-Tech Alpha Jets Have Flown in Brutal Wars Across Africa Now the former training jets are blasting Boko Haram On the morning of June 19, 2016, seven Toyota Hilux trucks manned by Boko Haram fighters lay in wait near Daira Noro, Borno State in northeastern Nigeria. Members of a fundamentalist insurgency infamous for its terrorist attacks and kidnappings of young girls, the fighters had recently been chased out of their camps in Sambisa forest by an African multi-national task force. As the African forces advanced north in pursuit, the Boko Haram fighters had prepared a road-side ambush under tree cover. Two of their trucks were armed with heavy machine guns. The distant whine of small airplane engines sounded overhead. An unarmed civilian plane flew by. Then suddenly, a small twin-engine fighter — an Alpha Jet — came screaming over the horizon. Radioed the position of the Boko Haram fighters by the unarmed plane — actually a King Air 350 surveillance aircraft — the Alpha Jet unleashed a barrage of rockets on the concealed ambush, followed by 250-pound bombs and strafing runs. The Toyotas were all destroyed and the ambush force thrown into chaos. Nigerian ground forces followed close on the heels of the jet and chased off the survivors. They counted 15 bodies and two abandoned rocket-propelled grenades. The Alpha Jet has a reputation for excellent low-speed handling and being very forgiving for novice pilots — in fact, the French air force’s only complaint was that it was actually too easy for trainees, who received a nasty shock when they graduated to more difficult-to-handle combat aircraft. Most military Alpha Jets have been used in their original intended role — as jet trainers. The Moroccan air force, however, employed some of theirs in its war against the Polisario rebels in Western Sahara. It’s the Nigerian air force, however, that has made the most combat use of the type. Nigeria reportedly acquired its initial 24 aircraft — nicknamed “A-Jets” — from Germany, but additional aircraft have been acquired over the years. Most of those photographed appear to be the French models. Rest at https://warisboring.com/nigerias-tiny-low-tech-alpha-jets-have-flown-in-brutal-wars-across-africa-5d843265d1b8#.drdnj3niy |
