12Monkeys:Mr man its alright. That was definitely an ambush. Same thing happened to US troops days ago. Washington (CNN)US troops abandoned equipment and weapons after they came under fire from ISIS fighters, the Pentagon acknowledged Tuesday. http://edition.cnn.com/2016/08/09/politics/us-troops-lost-weapons/ https://www.zerohedge.com/sites/default/files/images/user5/imageroot/Humvee%20ISIS.jpg ISIS with humvee and abrams tank. So for real don't ask me how a platoon was unable to hold down an attack on ambush. |
suavecool:Depends on the yuan exchange rate. It's almost equal to dollar tho. |
Smellingmouth:NPF cannot use pistol considering the crime rate and tactics in Nigeria. You don't expect police on patrol using pistol to go against robbers with riffles. |

ValerianSteel:Nice write up, however F35 is not much of an electronic warfare aircraft to be able to detect the exact location of s400 EA-18G and Jstars will be the perfect ones for such job which means F35 radar range wont give it any advantage in detecting the s400. S400 fire control radars are not always on except her long range radars and other radars supporting it such as the NEBO which is an anti stealth radar to some extent. F35 will only be able to strike s400 depending on the weapon it is carrying and there is probability the missile will be intercepted by the S400 and f35 loosing its stealth coordinate for sometime giving them chance to launch a missile against it. By my own opinion, the F35 will only be able to clear off the S400 with the help of standoff jamming and s400 uses frequency hopping. Sweep and barrage jamming won't be effective as spot jamming on s400 as jamming energy won't be concentrated among all frequencies. F35 will need the help of naval force and AWACS to be able to conduct a successful attack on s400 dominated area. However, S400 capability may have been over hyped but we wont know yet. |
ValerianSteel:sorry no the F35 cannot sniff the s400 at 1000km. F35 operational range may be 2000km + and not its radar system range. Remember the S400 incorporates radars that are capable of seeing f35. The f35 will definitely be seen. It can't hide away from all bands as it's not designed to do so not even the F22. Remember S400 is a shoot and scoot. Moreover it's fire control radar won't be turned on always except during engagement. The F35 cannot withstand operating in the 400km range of the s400. For the s400 to be weakened, growler and JSTARS need to do alot of jamming and believe me S400 isn't something easy that can be jammed . S400 also has the support of krashuka-4 EWS. The fact remains no one will want to send a fighter jet into an area dominated by S400 , Electronic warfare systems and crazy radars. Saying f35 will bring down s400 so easily is totally out of it. Moreover do not take me as a Russian supporter or whatever. My posts shows am probably aantirussian on military threads but the S400 is really a beast you do not mess with. |
Our leaders dont even invest and support Nigerians so why the complain? To you all saying quality, I do not agree with that. The government doesn't see things the way we all see it. The government herself considers made in Nigeria products or things with Nigerian heritage to be inferior . |
og2711:calling him dull proves you are the dullard here. Al Jazeera and CNN reporters have security clearance to go into terrorist areas to cover. If you know nothing don't type about it. Everything shouldn't be politicized. |
Babzilla:nah. Nothing like global law. |
Babzilla:Source on terrorists? Please in what constitution is that? |
I know most Nigerians who use internet are so dumb. Is CNN Nigerian? He is being declared wanted in respect to a law that covers him as a Nigerian. We are relying on the relevant laws of the land and in particular the Terrorism Prevention Act 2011 (as amended) where Nigerians could be punished for failure to disclose information about terrorists or terrorists activities And to the person who created the topic, so no one on twitter supported his arrest? Internet amateurs. |
hobermener:Nigeria a useless country? And you hope to be successful in a country you called useless? |
Football is the biggest unifying factor in Nigeria today. From Mr. President to the average Nigerian you have made everyone proud today. The only time everyone claim to be Nigerian. |
senatordave1:Do you watch football at all? This is the Olympics team please. |
Enough kids in here who know nothing about the military. I have come to realize 75% of nairalanders are so dull and lack common sense to reason or are probably blinded by hate. Nigerian ground troops remains one of the most respected in Africa and her Air sister will be among the best with the arrival of her JF-17 , and mi 35 . You can never pick up a fight against the Nigerian military and win. For your information. The Nigerian Navy has what it takes to level the creek with just GGM missiles at a far distance. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/d/d2/Misil_Otomat_MKII.jpg/1280px-Misil_Otomat_MKII.jpg https://www.military-today.com/navy/aradu.jpg |
The world is quite aware of the abduction of several persons; women, children and men, including the female students of Government Secondary School Chibok, Borno State Nigeria by Boko Haram Terrorists group. Consequently, appeal was made for their unconditional release by the Federal Government. The military also made concerted efforts to rescue them. We also appealed to Nigerians that have any information to volunteer to the military or security agencies to enable us rescue them. However, two recent incidents have pointed to the fact that, there are three individuals namely; Ahmed Salkida, (Ambassador) Ahmed U. Bolori and Aisha Wakil that have information on the conditions and the exact location of these girls. Therefore, the Nigerian Army hereby declare the two gentlemen and the lady wanted for interrogation. We are relying on the relevant laws of the land and in particular the Terrorism Prevention Act 2011 (as amended) where Nigerians could be punished for failure to disclose information about terrorists or terrorists activities. This become necessary as a result of their link with the last two videos released by Boko Haram Terrorists and other findings of our preliminary investigations. There is no doubt that these individuals have links with Boko Haram Terrorists and have contacts with them. They must therefore come forward and tell us where the group is keeping the Chibok Girls and other abducted persons to enable us rescue them. We are therefore calling on all Nigerians and peace loving people to give us useful information on their whereabouts. We are also liaising with other security agencies for their arrest if they failed to turn up. You are please requested to kindly disseminate this information to the public through your medium. Thank you for your kind and usual cooperation. Adagba01:Mr read this and see how the terrorists have been putting military officers lives in danger. I am not saying they should keep killing the girls but at times some things have to be done to liberate the country. The only solution now, is for the government to be able to get their location and start a rescue operation. No doubt lives will be lost but something has to be done. I would prefer sweeping the area with gas . Therefore putting the terrorists to sleep then conducting attack operation with those conscious.

Upon all your wiki research, can't you see that Ibadan is the largest city in Nigeria by land mass and third in Africa after Cairo and Johannesburg? Pictures are up there for you. |
