Adminisher:The j10 has a short range and combat radius. The JF17 still remains a good fighter among her peers.
|
barineh:Jf17 is not a good place why because Pakistan is still buying j10 and f16. So that's why? Instead of wasting time to tackle your reasons, I think you should know Pakistan cancelled the J-10 orders for JF17 block 3 and the country does not have any order for f16. If you couldn't get the above right then it's obvious why your reasons sounds unrealistic. |

Item No. vii (vii) Sensitivity of Technology: 1. This sale involves the release of sensitive weapons software technology information to Nigeria. Software associated with the following weapons will be included in the aircraft operational flight program to support a future weapons capability. 2. Sensitive and/or classified (up to SECRET) elements of the proposed A– 29 sale to Nigeria includes the hardware and associated software with: Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) laser guided rockets, Guided Bomb Unit (GBU)–12/58 Paveway II laser guided tail kits, and Mark (MK)–81/82 general purpose bombs. 3. The Hydra 70 Rocket System is a modernized version of the 2.75 inch (70 mm) unguided rocket body with the MK66 Rocket Motor. 4. The APKWS is a low cost semiactive laser guidance kit developed by BAE Systems which is added to current unguided 70 mm rocket motors and warheads similar to and including the Hydra 70 rocket. It is a low collateral damage weapon that can effectively strike both soft and lightly armored targets. APKWS turns a standard unguided 2.75 inch (70 mm) rocket into a precision laser-guided rocket, classification up to SECRET. 5. GBU–12/58 Paveway II (PW–II) Tailkits: 500-lb (GBU–12) and 250-lb (GBU–58) are laser-guided ballistic bombs (LGBs) developed by Raytheon and Lockheed Martin. The LGB is a maneuverable, free-fall weapon that guides to a spot of laser energy reflected off of the target. The LGB is delivered like a normal general purpose (GP) warhead and the semi-active guidance corrects for many of the normal errors inherent in any delivery system. Laser designation for the weapon can be provided by a variety of laser target markers or designators. The tailkit consists of a laser guidance kit, a computer control group (CCG) and a warhead specific Air Foil Group (AFG), that attach to the nose and tail of MK 81 and MK 82 General Purpose (GP) bomb bodies to create an LGB. This sale includes the tailkits to transform Nigeria’s existing 500-lb and 250-lb GP bomb bodies into GBU–12s and GBU– 58s respectively. Nigeria is also buying additional GBU–58s, 250-lb (MK–81) guided bombs. The overall weapon is CONFIDENTIAL. 6. AN/AAQ–22F Brite Star ElectroOptical/Infrared (EO/IR) Multi-Sensor Targeting System developed by FLIR. The system is a five field-of-view (FOV) large format thermal imager, three FOV color daylight camera with laser designator for terminal guidance of LGBs and IR-guided rockets. The system is classified as UNCLASSIFIED. 7. This sale is necessary in furtherance of U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives outlined in the Policy Justification. Moreover, the benefits to be derived from this sale, as outlined in the Policy Justification, outweigh the potential damage that could result if the sensitive technology were revealed to unauthorized persons. 8. All defense articles and services listed in this transmittal are authorized for release and export to the Government of Nigeria. |
JF 17 block 3 now in preliminary stage since October.

doctokwus:It's not always about propaganda. You said the price won't get less than 145 if Dangote refinery commence work and I showed you an instant of a filling station that refines her self and still sells at #143. Now imagine Dangote refinery with up to 650,000bpd. A local refinery definitely cuts cost. |
doctokwus:BOVAS refines her oil and currently sells at #143. Tell |
frumentius:Transparency should be a normal thing in democracy but corruption won't allow that. We will get to know what the $1B is being used for when the opposition gets back into power. So we should be looking 2019 or 2023 or hopefully if the authority release list of things the money is being used for. I expect the government to run a website where spendings like this can be monitored. As far as am concerned, I can't stop the government from purchasing 12 Tucanos at $100B. All that matters to me is that as they purchase this Tucano which will be of good use in COIN, they should also work on multirole / air superiority aircrafts. |
iblawi:Yes. We're still receiving funds from the Paris Club. It is the bail out funds the state governors are using. |
frumentius:Over $7B |
frumentius:$275M less than the Amount our AGF claimed we're getting back. Plus we have more loots from dieazeni in the US. Diezani loots in US amounts to $1.7B according to EFCC. Apart from this recent one, over $600M was received by NIGERIA last year from Abacha's loot . Meaning not all was used to clear the Paris Club debtors. |
frumentius:Few days ago. https://www.thecable.ng/nigeria-us-sign-agreement-return-300m-looted-abacha-alamieyeseigha http://punchng.com/nigeria-us-sign-agreement-on-return-of-abacha-alamieyeseighas-loot/ https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2017/12/09/us-switzerland-sign-agreement-to-return-621m-abacha-alamieyeisegha-loots/
|
frumentius:USA, UK and Switzerland still hold Abacha loots. |
frumentius:Yes, there was once a report on that and it was Official. I'll try and get the link again. Yes the funds need to be paid as its not in the hands of the suppliers. The government will need to negotiate the payment with the US govt. |
giles14:Less than $600M. Funds from loots so what again? It's better than them returning the money and we hearing nothing about it again. |
IamaNigerianGuy:Safety measures was well maintained. Not just in Nigeria do police handle guns that way.

Frumentum:It's a donation. I don't think Nigeria is paying for them. |
Merry Christmas guys! Thanks for the mentions. Bidexii I thought we are expecting some ratels from Jordan? Any update? |
Adminisher:Jf17b is already in production. |
iblawi:I can do mathematics well when it's needed but the interest is the issue . Physics mathematics feels like solving real problems but the pure mathematics does not. |
bidexiii:Looks sweet. Someone won't get to eat Christmas chicken ![]() |
nemesis4u:Lol I'm no mathematician. I detest mathematics, calculus etc. Give me physics, thermodynamics etc |
LTGEN:Yes it came from WSJ but there's no new information in there. Those information has been available on our own local media so nothing new about it. Whatever happen only God knows as a government will always do its best to save her face. |
Largest power bank market by region is Europe then Americans and also Asia Pacific Stop typing thrash. I'm sure the amount of Chinese in Liaoning province making use of power bank is much more than the total amount of power banks in Nigeria as a nation. The projection still remains intact. Are you saying these countries are suffering from electricity issues?

![]() Ah thanks algerian1. $130M for a radar? That's damn much. |
Damn thrash. Yes we have police brutality but that doesn't make our country a jungle. You know how many police killings happened in the US this year? No one supports the radical behavior of the Nigerian police but saying your dog has a better life than most Nigerians is foolish. Police brutality in the United is much more than in Nigeria. Sister please keep your trash to yourself.
