hmm simpler english please. |
@samobaba, isn't providing forex for oil marketers a form of subsidy in itself? with just dollar rise things are already expensive and with this more black market demand would push up dollar rate and things would be 'more' expensive. i wish the yuan swap deal would be hurried to reduce dollar demand |
gr8ofnnetwork:word! was it that we had independence too soon and knew not what to do with it and thus 'anything goes' became the mantra? |
wolfslair:lolz, but seriously considering what a youth of today talking of chopping all the money when he gets 'there' they had good pursuits laid ahead of them. so what happened at that point in our history that made betraying public trust the way to go? |
I mean what life changing mid-life crisis made them deviate from paths given by the fathers of independence? |

she decided to be your woman above all others. somewhere within you still lies the mojo that pulled that off. use it. |

guess the timing of this was made to come out after the budget approval. |
i just signed the petition and wish our own senators and the cbn look into this agency only interested in capital flight and not making earnings possible for nigerians. as prompted by laurelp i once tweeted this to senator bruce but i guess it was skipped or missed. |
just get married and you won't need all the paparazzi of reading signs. if you are in the mood then simply say so to your spouse. that is your abode of legal expression. |
ridwanomooba:I totally agree with this. He has the North-South popularity and highest chance of being Nigeria's next president hence clipping his wings now is the duty of some that do not want that dream to be so. If the CCT finds him innocent his career would fly through the roof but if guilty it would be the fall of humpty dumpty. Let's be sincere the current media evidence is daunting and unless a joker card is played I am not sure of how he would scale through. |
Brugo:ok. just wanted to know how the law works in cases like this. thanks |
valacious:What happens if the case is dragged on to meet with when the bill is signed? |
teemy:Sorry madam IMF |
1. China is nigeria's largest in partner, round tripping to buy a costly dollar to change for the yuan would lead to to losses for the nigerian economy 2. A new business model of buying the yuan and converting to dollars to sell here at a higher price would by law of diminishing returns reduce the black market price hereby correcting it. 3. If nigeria is leading this move of easy yuan access in africa the entire african state would prefer to deal more with yuan than the dollar leading to less demand and lesser dollar value. I never expected this move but as it is the nigerian president could just have engineered the fall of the US state. P.S this is just an economic analysis and not political propaganda. |
georgesylva:Let us respect the OP's thread. By the way i have no such groups. I have attached the excel spreadsheet I use. Cheers |
falana is right in saying we should draw the zeal in recovering lost funds. yearly the debt has been piling not reducing and the exchange rate is not little thus making future kids placed in ransom for our faults. we should reduce it not raise it. |
seaga:i agree. if not for the enormousity and manner this fee is being collected many strained marriages would be lovely today. |
by the way greene66, in medieval times princesses must have a sizeable dowry to get married. that is they bring land, wealth or titles to the man. in the movie 3idiots a lady's future inlaws demanded a car as dowry. dowry does not equal ownership. |
if we are to follow the steps in that statement jesus made in regard to moses' permission for divorce the man who instigates divorce should accept he has hardness in his heart. i do believe in caution in cases of STDs but there is no sin higher. |
i see hypocrisy as when a sibling or friend commits adultery and you go along to beg the spouse to forgive and refusing to do same in your own case. toks2008, the common usage of irreconcilable differences is when it's mutual or a secret is involved. |
zdoh you took the words out of my mouth in its entirety. parents could bale out clothes to pay for their children's school fees and importers could also export out stuff to get source of forex making it seem as product swap and the country is better |
from my point of view they have a problem accessing forex to move the funds back home. they just need export much needed stock from over here and get paid in home currency. they might need to create a special unit for this. |
2cato:please explain 2cato. |
easiest way for them to move funds overseas. other multinationals can do same. |
they pulled their monies out with the hope that with propaganda they could force the government to increase dollar rate and they would bring back their cash then. it is all business as they are investors looking for where next to build their revenues |
let them become exporters. buy exportable stuff here with their local money and sell for forex cash in their home countries. not rocket science. that way they help themselves and nigerian export market as well as a new company business line. |
time and time again foreign media has been singing the devaluation song but with things on ground it could end up negative. foreign loans would become harsher and fuel price would be golden. outright ban on locally available materials could help. |
the mrs was asking for a favour which the mr only would acceed to only at their 6th anniversary. possibly madam was asking for a divorce on mutual terms. |
the answer is there in your first statement. "You've not stepped into the banking hall in a long time". |
