There's no rule that says a lawyer must work in a law firm. We are trained to fit into lots of positions in different corporations. The truth is that love of the law is not often enough to sustain one in these hard times. Most law firms pay peanuts. Some corpers even earn more than the ridiculous sums that most of these law firms pay.

Having a master's degree in a specialised area of law often helps a great deal. It puts one in a better position in terms of landing a good job.
