PoliticsRe: ‘Hope On Buhari’s Change Mantra Waning’ - Daily Trust by Tellemall: 8:25am On Apr 30, 2016
Ganiyat72:
There are only four groups of people in Nigeria who bought and believed in the change mantra championed by a stark illiterate NOMAD,buhari. And it's quit sad that these group of netanthals are found in large quantities in northern and southwestern axis.

(1) First group are those who fall in thesame illiterate bracket as buhari.
2)The the ignorant, eternally dependent and beggarly amajiri up north.
3) The product/graduants of ILE IKWU and MAKRANTA arabic education.
4) The educated illiterates, with OLUWOLE CERTIFICATE doting the land scape of southwest.
Lol @ Oluwole. The shrine of certificates.

Do the southerners in the north rear cattles?? Is there any conflict between them and the northern indigenes to warrant govt intervention?? Your points go to no issue.

Sorry, but the FG does not make laws or policies based on tribalism. The earlier you quit this "them-us" mentality, the better for the country. The President and entire federal govt oath upon assuming office is to ensure the territorial intergrity of nigeria and enforce peace and security. It is not to ensure the terrirorial integrity of the south against the north, or the north against the south. All nigerians have the right to own property in any part of the country. Igbo men own vast extensive properties all over the north and south east. In the same way yorubas and hausa own property worth billions of naira around the country. This is the vision of our constitution. It is not about promoting hate or calling any tribe "parasites"!
If we understand you correctly, you want these rights for Fulani nomads. Because they own cattle.

Are the cattle property of Nigeria or of the Fulani cattle rearers? Is it their private cows or public cows? When people do their businesses, they personally go and find a business center. They don't need tax payers money to set themselves up. Or a government to spend unnecessary funds on making them comfortable. Why, then, do you think that the country owes them for them deciding to roam and kill people because of their PERSONAL business? Because, what, they are rearing cows? And other people with private businesses don't have rights? Because they aren't walking miles from their origins with cows and leaving cow faeces in their wake?

The cattle are their business, so they should mind their business.

Do you realize that simple sensitization back in the deserts could change the outlook of these people? They aren't the only nomads in the world, but they are the worst sort, because their excesses are being cuddled by people of a like view as yourself who think they need to be given " rights ". If they wish to rear their cattle, it's their business and nobody owes them anything. In fact, they ought to be law abiding and stop killing people or else they face the law. But rather what you have here is a scheme to breed more trouble.

It's not as though if they were given grazing guidelines they would ever abide by them. Provided their spindly legs get there, they feel they own it. What happens when they feel you're trying to change their custom of going where they please? They begin killing people in cities to make their point. Educating them is the only means of making them reason.

Desert? Yet they claim to be the source of food for the nation without which Southerners would starve so what's the link? Haven't they heard of irrigation? Their governors should understudy the UAE, a confirmed desert and find out how they are able to survive with lush, green vegetation as well. You don’t see them migrating to swampy or more watered regions.
You even dignified him with a response.

The Fulani simply feel they own the world, especially now that they think they have a kindred spirit looking out for their best interests.

I don't see why the private roaming of these fellows takes them to farmlands, when there are forests they could always vegetate in.

I cannot see why the Fulani's as a similar specie can breed in arid lands while their cows need to be guided across city centers, like grass grows on tar, to farmlands they didn't sweat for. Yet some people feel it's their right to be given places to roam about to, when the land up there is so vast and their cows are adapted to semidesert conditions.

Compensation scheme to murderers, because they are of frail sensibilities and volatile. Smh.

saw the future and in that version they weren't satisfied ?? Before i even start commenting, what do you understand about the grazing bill ? , have you read the content or are you one of those who join them to condemn fulani
The grazing bill is exactly what it sounds like, a grazing bill. A bill designed for opportunistic cows.

Until you tell us why there should be a governmental bill for the Personal Business of nomads, I'll take my crystal ball over you.

I don't see why the tribe cannot be educated rather than throwing a huge bone at them that they will never be satisfied with.

You need to see a Fulani man getting worked up about one of the two bodies growing cold by the tar, and it isn't the body of the little boy who looks like his son; it's the cow.

Oh wait, are you by any means from that end of the country?

Before i answer the question let me call on mynd44 to be my witness incase some people decide to insult me and report me for replying their insults

Now i need to ask a question , You don't want Fulani's in your homes and lands and your farms

Yet , you do not want them confided in a grazing ranch where everybody will know their whereabouts and avoid them like plagues

Do you want the herdsmen out of the country or do you want them extinct ??

Fulani grazers even if they are uneducated and volatile have the right to own / be given ranches where they won't come to towns to raid and abuse people

the same set of people complaning of raype, assault and massacre are still the ones who won't let them have their grazing lands

So what the fuuurck do you want ??
What's wrong with them going back north? Isn't that where the cows came from in the first place, or do they pick cows up along the way? What's wrong with the grass in the vast North? If they can live and breed there as human life forms, the cows can too. Or do the cows deserve more ? Why should the government give them land on which to graze, when it's their personal cow rearing they are going about? Or are the cows property of the state? Can anyone just go pick up a cow if they are now given land?

It's their personal cow rearing business so they should keep it personal. Nobody really likes seeing them constituting a national menace as they herd the cows and themselves through the most unlikely places. They should buy themselves plots of land like any other citizen wishing to do an agricultural business. They can roam from Algiers down to Nigeria and claim right of cow passage and free land because they are nomads? Really?

These people will never be satisfied with just some reserve areas. As long as there is land they must roam it. Don't you know, only they were put on earth to roam and own all of it. Everybody else is in their way.

I don't even see how the matter should be given any consideration apart from educating them on how to relate with people, and teaching them that anywhere their cows roam to doesn't belong to them, and teaching them ways of keeping their horned family members herded in the North.

Personally, I find chrome tedious to use. I don't particularly like the interface. Although I hear it's all that, I prefer UC. All the stuff about restarting tabs on exiting UC isn't true. Unless the person has settings off for restarting tabs. UC opens over 10 tabs, contrary to popular belief.

The only time chrome gets opened is when somebody else browses on my phone.

The motor bikes and trucks utilised by Boko Haram run on PMS.

If they had diesel trucks I may believe this but converting vegetable oil to fuel to power petrol engines is near impossible.

This is a fat lie from the lying bastards

The spark plugs in petrol engines can not ignite the vegetable fuel. Only diesel engines are adapted to utilising less inflamable and high viscous solvents by compressing and igniting the fuel under high air pressures

Again the Nigerian Army shows how daft they are at making a simple lie.
Are you a fuel technologist/engineer? Your analysis of volatility and viscosity is... Have a like.

FamilyRe: How Do You Handle A Stubborn Kid? by Tellemall: 8:19am On Apr 20, 2016
kaboninc:
Its not about disciplining your child but how you go about it. Excessive flogging hardens the heart and makes him difficult to control. Even your mother knows that.

There's nothing wrong with flogging a child. But how you do so matters. Do you flog him until his hands peels? Or until he bleeds out? Or until he faints? What message are you trying to pass across?

And its not about Africans and non Africans. As we have parents who beats up their child to stupor here in Nigeria, you have parents who shoots their kids in other countries. Let's stop the stereotyping!

I've come to realise that kids learn most when you do the talk and speak to them. They watch you and you should be careful around them. When they test you, or try to usurp your authority, at that tender age, subtle discipline will put them in line.

Most people don't really know how it feels to be a victim of these excessive floggings.
I never said to flog it till it died or sustained injuries that are destructive. There's nothing wrong with leaving a few welts if it gets to that. I'm yet to see a person who when flogged does not get welts and turn red/plum. Unless they now flog children with pieces of paper because a smarting is now such a bad thing.

And yes, it's about Africans and non Africans. What you have in Nigeria are parents who do not have the nerve to flog their kids because "it will damage it's psyche", " it's not civilized ", " I should only speak to them "; because they saw it on TV, or because their friend at Asokoro doesn't do it. But they forget that the floggings/beatings they got early in their lives did make a difference. All this soft talk about talking to them only is irritating. The people who they saw that told them not to flog most certainly beat theirs if they get out of line. It's irritating seeing Nigerians who were flogged now acting like children are some sort of gem that will die if they are touched.

The only thing excessive flogging does is that it either kills the child (stupidity on the part of the parent; you don't beat a child out of anger), it hardens the child (stupidity on the part of the child) or it makes the child sensible (this is the whole aim of physical discipline). I'm not advocating excessive flogging.

Every child needs a good flogging, stubborn or not. And trust me, they want it.
FamilyRe: How Do You Handle A Stubborn Kid? by Tellemall: 9:32pm On Apr 19, 2016
MzLarem:
Not everything a child does deserves beating or punishment..I believe that a child who is acting differently from d norm is seeing things frm a different perspective..u jst need to understand such child nd show him/her d way instead of excessive beating which will only make d chilld despise you..
Why waste your time as a parent trying to understand a child who won't bother to understand you? Every child needs a good flogging, stubborn or not.

The problem with child-raising in Nigeria is the psychologists in fair weather countries who try to tell you Nigerians how to mollycoddle your children when you find yourself under very Nigerian conditions. I'm yet to see a white person who doesn't flog/beat their child - if they get whiny at the mall, they lay it into them, anywhere they want to. Yet people in backwater countries will be trying to sound like it's civilized not to flog their children. If you talk to a child and it won't listen, then flog/beat it. If it persists then deprive it of the things it loves. Either it runs away as a bitter f.ool or it learns. Each to their own choice. If it's life becomes a mess because you didn't flog/beat it, it's that same child that will turn round to accuse you of not being there to discipline it. Either way, it will look for what to say about why it's life is so good or bad.

The more you call them kids, the worse they'll be. Don't you know that kids are young goats?
