Hello everyone,
Please I need advice on the best bank account to open for a new comer, I’ve been checking the websites of the Big 5 and watching YouTube videos, I think CIBC gives you 2 years free of charges, that’s the longest I’ve seen. I’ll appreciate opinions from you guys, based on customer service, minimal fees etc.
Also for the network provider to use as well, I’ll appreciate your opinion, for this I’ll be within the GTA, so if there are specific providers that are best for the area I’ll appreciate it.
Thank you! |

Qlife seem more organized to me, the day I went to IOM to try to get an earlier date and I saw the crowd, nobody told me to pick Qlife but this was back in July. saskatoonguy: IOM or QLIFE. Which is adviceable to use? |

Hi do you mind if I ask you a few questions about the people that got finance roles before landing Canada? I want to know if they disclosed their location during the interview or just acted like they were in Canada. tshtsh: Software engineering role. Most interviews and assessment are done remotely these days. Kindly try and try I believe you'll get one. I have heard of two people who got employed into finance roles at HSBC and TD before landing in canada. Luckily the COPRs are now valid for a longer period of time hence giving candidates more time to plan their movement
On the other hand If you were earning in naira before your decision to move to canada you'll find that the exchange rate is very bad now (naira to usd or cad). Thus without an immediate source of income in canada you'll be spending your savings and the movement to canada will seem more like restarting life. I wanted a sort of continuity and not a restart hence I did not sell a single item or asset of mine rather I simply applied for PTA and travelled down to toronto. Started earning in less than a month. |

Here’s mine, it should state what they’re evaluating the ICAN as Capital247: Please for those that select the option of "Two or more certificates" can you share the WES comments for the second certificates?
I evaluated ICAN, and the second picture below is the evaluation outcome, the remarks in there is my concern.

Did you use her recently? I have her contact but when I did mine in July she wasn’t helpful, I had to go with another Police Officer and you know how that goes now, additional money. Nonylistic001: I no longer have her contact details, but you can check for Inspector Rose on this thread, you will see her phone number. |

I was the first batch to do it that time and the process was so disorganized, it took me coming back another day to finish it, so I can’t speak for the current process now sadly. ARA91: Hi.
Please long did the entire PCC process last for? Can it be gotten in a day? |

I did my PCC in July, I was one of the first set that had to do the new “30k” biometrics type, it’s not solely online, you’ll still visit Alagbon, they’ll do the biometrics for you and it’s stamped by the commissioner, no physical fingerprints on the document. It was accepted by IRCC cause I’ve gotten PPR already. ehiremen2002: There seems to be some confusion about PCC. I see most recently that there is a new way of getting PCC that is done solely online.
Has IRCC started accepting the recent PCC from Nigeria that doesnt have print out of your finger print. |

It’s not even black market rate they’re using, they’re converting at like N 1000 to a $. It’s insane honestly. seunpinky: A friend that just landed had the same issue with Egypt air, on the website you see a cheap amount in USD but once it's time to pay you are charged at the prevailing black market rate. |

Thanks, same numbers I tried too but I think I called too early I was able to reach them finally. Guys if you don’t plan on paying directly on Egyptair’s website don’t bother, cause I don’t know how 900$ for ticket on their website turned to 985,000 in their office for the same ticket o. mcstan18: +23412712307; +23412712308. A friend of mine shared these numbers with me once but I haven't tried calling. You may want to try them out |

Since you had your baby before ITA, you have to update your profile since your family composition has changed. Qwertyuser: Good morning all, please advise. Currently in the pool with 488, we just got a baby. When do we update our profile with the detail, considering our baby does not have her international passport yet. We are in the process of getting one which may take sometime considering immigration and their stress.
Can anyone advise. Do we wait to update our profile pending passport issuance post ITA or?
Thanks. |

I think I’ve seen about 3 PPRs from FSW applicants that got ITA in July and submitted in August. I think they’ve improved the processing times generally, most PNP cases from July are getting PPRs 90 days post AOR if you don’t have Visa refusals. saskatoonguy: Good evening guys. Is there anyone with the processing time for those that received ITA since the start of the draw in July?. Is the file moving fast as promised by IRCC for the new application submitted after the restart of the draw?
We just need to know how well IRCC is keeping to their word. Thanks all. |

There’s no argument here, we were having a conversation but I understand why you would think it was one, you can’t stand to see a woman express her view without throwing a fit, I mean look at your response here, you’re the one that should be ashamed, not me. NuCypher: You say it like there haven’t been millions of women you “got hitched with a man she didn’t like (sic)”. They are all over the place, so your argument holds no water. But why would it anyways? It’s not like you can really think as such, despite all the hopes I had for you. Shame!
As men, our ultimate goal is to avoid those who would become such nightmares in the end, merely because they have a Canada PR. Again, I’ll say it. That’s why droves of Nigerian men in Canada continue to head back home to pick an angel. And that’s how it’s going to be for a long time… |

From what I’ve seen, the real anger comes from seeing that a woman would rather be single than get hitched with a man she doesn’t like and it’s become some men’s worst nightmare. Especially men that think they’re doing women a favor by marrying them. ciwi: As in!! |

Lesson? From you? I’m good on that, thank you NuCypher: What are you on about, lmao!? Don’t get all snoozy. I’m at peace, always been.
Again, she bungled her chance. They delivered a man to her door, but she chose to entertain the weirdest thoughts. Sadly, something tells me that’d be her last chance. It doesn’t take much to figure out. I hope you got a lesson or two to grab from that. I can only hope because it doesn’t seem so to me. |
