Expect responses like “we're not obligated to prove anything to you" .. or “we work in certain ways"

This issue of "your God" is one of the things that is causing mayhem in religion. The next is "my God is bigger and better than yours"
Man in the name of religion has created a personal God made in the image and likeness of himself. From this perspective any body that does not buy into this personal perception of God is not fit to be alive. He is called an unbeliever and discriminated against.
When you clear your mind of all you think you know about God and ask God to reveal Itself to you without any preconceived notions then your journey from religion to spirituality starts.
And the issue of worship.
The highest form of worship is loving service to all life. For when you are loving and serving God's creation, you are worshipping God.
You don't need any religion or church to achieve this. All you need is love and an open heart.
